A PATH FOR DISCERNMENT COMING SOON TO THE EPISCOPAL DIOCESE OF CENTRAL PA

Beginning this fall, our diocese will enter into a new part of our Christian journey together.

Shaped by Faith is a three-part initiative to discern, discover, and create a right-shaped diocese to serve God’s mission with vitality and strength.

Intensive Work in selected clusters of parishes will examine their future together and their optimal configuration for health.

Projects will explore congregational vitality and values, financial sustainability, God’s call in the neighborhood, and new models for being Church. Seven projects will take place between 2019–2021.

Individual Parish work of Supportive Discernment will be available to all parishes through a no-cost voucher system for Parish Life courses at the Stevenson School for Ministry. Parish consultations will be available by members of the Shaped by Faith diocesan staff.

Celebrating Our Common Story...we will all celebrate our heritage in a project of historicizing our diocese called “Rooted in God.”
