he year that was saw the people of the Diocese of Trenton coming together in an array of special events aimed at nurturing their faith and sharing it with others. Bishop David M. O’Connell, C.M., decreed a Year of Youth and young Catholics answered his call by performing acts of service to the sick, poor and needy. A pilgrimage to Mexico with the Bishop reinforced the faithful’s love of Our Lady of Guadalupe, while a procession of torches in the Virgin’s honor through Trenton lit hearts aflame.
