In our Spring issue, Bishop Mulvey explains that Lent, Holy Week and Easter can be an opportunity to encounter Jesus in the Word and reaffirm our belief in His redemptive suffering. Also, Sister Delphine Apinjoh from the Sisters of Saint Ann, shares her vocation story – a spiritual journey that began in Cameroon, Africa. In addition, we feature a woman of strength – St. Josephine Bakhita, the patron saint of human trafficking victims. We also feature elementary teachers Sylvia Rodriguez from Our Lady of Perpetual Help and Marilyn Sheridan from Most Precious Blood, who strive to keep their students grounded in faith. In the section, “Jesus says,” Father Brady Williams, from the Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity, reminds us that Jesus Christ, risen from the dead, is the source of our resurrection. And Sister Annette Wagner, with the Sisters of the Incarnate Word and Blessed Sacrament, explains that union with God occurs through the Word that lives in us and that prayer is initiated by God.
