2022 Steppin’ Out for The Dimock Center
We could not be more excited to reunite with you in person for the first time since 2019! This year’s Steppin’ Out will be unlike any other, and we are so glad you will join us to mix, mingle, dance, and celebrate all we have accomplished together in service of Dimock patients and families. What a wonderful way to celebrate Dimock’s 160th anniversary.
While the past few years have no doubt been challenging for our community, we also have much to be grateful for. In response to growing food insecurity brought about by the COVID-19 crisis, a new partnership with tonight’s Dimock Difference Leadership Awardee, The Stop & Shop Supermarket Company, has allowed us to distribute over 100,000 pounds of healthy food to the community, and we soon will launch a food pantry on Dimock’s campus.
The pandemic has also caused a record number of children and adults to experience mental health challenges. But thanks to partnerships with friends at the Center for Music Therapy at Berklee College of Music, we are able to provide comprehensive, culturally-sensitive, and compassionate care in new and innovative ways.
And thanks to your generous support of Dimock’s Restoring Hope Capital Campaign, we continue to progress toward creating Boston’s first Men’s Clinical Stabilization program and filling a critical gap in our city’s addiction recovery landscape.
Your support makes all of this possible.
We can’t wait to welcome you back to Dimock’s beautiful nine-acre campus to see the impact of your incredible support on our community.
Have a wonderful time at our 35th Annual Steppin’ Out!
Chair and CEO Eastern Bank Chair, The Dimock Community Foundation Board
I am so excited to join you at the 35th Annual Steppin’ Out for The Dimock Center Gala! This is our first in-person celebration in three years, and I cannot wait to reconnect with you again in support of this wonderful organization. Together, we will enjoy a reimagined event where guests can mix, mingle, dance, and enjoy amazing live and local music all night long as we support Dimock’s critical work.
Dimock has been breaking down barriers and providing vital care to the underserved for generations. This year, as we celebrate its 160th anniversary, I want to thank you for all you do to help ensure it can continue this unparalleled legacy of care.
Thanks to you, Dimock provides over 19,000 people each year with primary and specialty medical care, mental health and addiction recovery services, and early education to ensure little ones and their families have a solid foundation to thrive. None of this would be possible without your support.
I hope you will consider a gift to support Dimock patients and families tonight. Your support will provide quality care to thousands of people who rely on The Dimock Center every day. Thank you for your kind and caring support. I’m excited to celebrate with you.
Enjoy the evening!

In 2020, Stop & Shop responded to the call for help to provide healthy, nutritious food for our families who were struggling. Now two years later, Stop & Shop has coordinated monthly food distributions that have provided more than 100,000 lbs. of grocery staples and fresh produce for our patients, families, and neighbors. And they are now helping us to create a permanent food pantry on our campus to continue to meet the ongoing need. Stop & Shop has also played an integral role in the success of our Road to Wellness 5K Run and 2-Mile Walk event by providing healthy snacks and water for our 12-week summer training program, sponsoring the event and providing water and bags of free healthy produce at the event for all participants. And they are a generous sponsor of tonight’s Steppin’ Out, impacting all our care of people all year long.
We want to thank the Stop & Shop Supermarket Company for their tireless efforts combatting food insecurity and keeping our community healthy.
