Case: real-time analytics for a leading provider of technological innovations in the healthcare industry, built on Microsoft Fabric.
Objective: develop an MVP with new real-time analytics functionality for tracking activities across more than 50 data sources for end users of their CRM solutions. The previous
system updated data only once per day and had query limitations, which hindered operational decisionmaking.
Hypothesis for the MVP: in the pharmaceutical business, rapid access to data is critical. The company aimed to enhance the value of its CRM product while laying the foundation for future scaling of CRM analytics.
Constraints:
Limited internal expertise in modern data architecture and near real-time analytics.
Short timeline: only 3 weeks to implement the MVP.

O-Digital designed the target architecture and implemented the solution on Microsoft Fabric, leveraging the AWS cloud environment. A new data workflow model was built, with pipelines established to collect and process information from more than 50 sources. At the same time, the familiar report visualization format in Power BI was preserved for users.

Just a few years ago, corporate security could be described as a well-fortified fortress. High perimeter walls, a limited number of access points, predictable traffic flows, and a clear boundary between what was “internal” and what lay outside.
