UI DESIGN

Hi, my name is Dimitrije Karanović. I am a young designer from Belgrade, Serbia. I currently attend Information Technology School from Belgrade.

SInce I was very young I realised I have a certain sense for aestethics, I liked drawing, dressing, combining colors, etc. I was heavily influenced by video games and comic books, since I was a child, which later grew onto curiosity about how those things are created, which developed my passion for design.

I attended high school “Zemunska Gimnzazija” and my path later led me to ITS, where I can say I started my designer journey.

Due to a wide range of courses throughout my studies, I learned a lot and grew to love a lot of different branches of design. I love creativity and beauty of print desing, practicality and usefulness of web design and user interface design, and ability to bring fictional things to life with 3D modeling and animation.

With design I found love in what I do and I’m very passionate about it. I pay a very close attention to details and I’m always willing to hear a consstructive criticism thwoards my work as I believe that the best way to get better is through mistakes. I let others be the judge of my work, and I stay hardworking as I never want to cheat anyone with effort.

Outside of work I like to play video games, read books and comic books, travel, go to the gym and stay active, typical normal guy things. I am fluent in Serbian and English as well as having an understanding knowledge of French.

Magazine Design

During past year, I had the privilege of working for two renowned magazines, “Materijali” and “Inzenjer,” published by Advertising Agency “Anubis” where I honed my skills and showcased my creative abilities. At “Materijali,” a cutting-edge publication focusing on materials science and engineering, I was entrusted with the task of designing visually captivating layouts that effectively communicated complex scientific concepts to a diverse readership. Through the use of dynamic typography, striking imagery, and thoughtful compositions, I aimed to captivate readers and enhance their understanding of intricate scientific topics. Transitioning to “Inzenjer,” a prominent engineering magazine, I embraced the opportunity to merge functionality with aesthetics. By seamlessly integrating technical illustrations, schematics, and engaging visuals, I strived to create visually engaging pages that both educated and inspired the engineering community. These experiences have shaped me into a versatile designer, capable of translating complex ideas into captivating visual narratives.
