Local musician and technician, Pino Soccio, is opening the Young Technicians Academy, an exciting venture for local young people who are interested in learning more about the media and live events industry. Pino has many years of experience, performing both locally, and nationally, in his vision to put Peterborough on the national performing arts map. The courses are designed to encourage students both academically and creatively, with a wide range of content across theoretical and practical knowledge. Collaborating with Young People's Counselling Service (YPCS), the Wildlife Trust aim to explore the climate emergency and the future of conservation and farming, with the aim of being able to positively impact the lives of local young people by enabling them to readily access and engage with nature. We felt very inspired by our local community as they join in with 'Pay it Forward.' It really is the gift that keeps on giving. Maybe even more can join in. Don't forget to send us your stories. We have just held our first monthly meeting in the village hall since March 2020. It was good to be back in the hall, especially as our guest speaker needed a projector to show us his wildlife film. Simon, from Wild Presentations, was back by popular demand with his new wildlife film ‘Wild Scotland’. Simon spent some time last year after lockdown restrictions were eased in the Abernathy Forest in the Cairngorms. He was there during late September and early October and after setting his cameras up very quickly filmed a Pine Martin

on his porch helping himself to the nuts and eggs left out. Red squirrels are in abundance and lots of bird life including the very elusive Crested Tit. The scenery in autumn was just beautiful and Simon also took the opportunity to visit the Aviemore ski resorts whilst they have no snow. This gave him the opportunity to watch the mountain hares and ptarmigan, grouse-like birds that blend in very well with the rocks and boulders. Simon is a brilliant guest speaker, very passionate about his work, and as a special exclusive we were

treated to a short film about the reintroduction of the sea eagle back to the Isle of Wight. A friend of Simon’s is part of the team doing this reintroduction and at one point had 9 sea eagle chicks tucked away in his garage ready for the journey to the Isle of Wight to start their reintroduction. One of chicks bit him on the face so he was keeping his distance, Simon said it was probably a female chick, they are usually the more feisty! A thoroughly recommended guest speaker who I am sure will be returning in the future.

We are now back with our monthly meetings, we meet on the first Thursday on the month and would warmly welcome anyone wishing to come along and see what we get up to. Anyone wishing to contact us please email: WIholmevillage@gmail.com

Local Community Policing Update

This month we have undertaken days of action in the villages and completed speed checks in Yaxley, although generally the speeding was limited we did provide drivers with education where required. We will be continuing this over the summer and as schools return, will look at parking outside of schools to keep your children safe. We have had a huge reduction in the anti-social behaviour reported to us around The Broadway shopping centre. We’re pleased to say after a consultation with local shop owners and those previously effected the reduction is noticeable for all. Drug dealing/use is beginning to rear its head above the parapet and I would urge you to report this to

us, although drug use can be thought of as low level, believe me from what we see and where it leads its far from the truth. Nipping it in the bud early will prevent longer term problems. We will continue to listen to the councillors and residents and will target all criminality but if you notice something or have concerns let us know. I hope you enjoy the weather for the holidays, please be mindful when near open water and the dangers as the summer is a huge draw for people of all ages,

Broadway Bowls, Yaxley Our trials Saturday morning roll-ups have proven to be a success with some new members signing up and we are encouraging people who want to come and have a go to contact our secretary or visit our website.

The Northants Bowls Federation held the county finals at the City of Peterborough Bowls Ground. Yaxley were well represented by four players in the men’s two bowl triples, men’s two bowl pairs and the senior men’s pairs. The club secretary also reached the final in the Secretary’s Cup. The ladies were represented in the Senior Ladies’ singles. Les Sharp, Robert heath and Tony Belson finished runners-up in the two bowl triples. septembergarden For the best results, bulbs for the spring favourites of daffodils and tulips need to be planted in the autumn. This will give them a good chance to grow roots and start to build up energy for making a great display next year.

Choose your daffodils carefully and you can have a display starting in late winter (from varieties such as ‘February Gold’) right through until midspring. If you are in a garden centre, flowering times will be clearly indicated on the pack. Sometimes this will be as numerals rather than actual dates – for example, February to March could be indicated as 2-3 or sometimes even II-III.

 Buying Buying larger quantities of bulbs usually makes them significantly cheaper per bulb and there are always multi-pack offers to be found. If you’re looking to plant a large expanse, perhaps a bank or the area along the sides of the drive, go for daffodils by the sack rather than by the bag. Crocuses are available in a multitude of colours. However, the bargain priced mega-bags of these bulbs contain a lot of yellow and orange crocuses, which the sparrows love to shred. It’s better value to pay a little more for smaller singlecolour bags and avoid the yellows and oranges.

There should be planting depths written on the packs of bulbs you buy or order, but if not it is generally better to plant too deep than too shallow; around three times the height of the bulb is ideal.

Pots and other containers make great homes for bulbs. If you are particularly drawn to small or expensive flowers, pots mean you won’t lose those tiny spring bulb jewels amongst their larger relatives.

Larger planters including tubs and window boxes are brilliant for bulbs too – try a host of golden daffodils in a smart blue pot, or some delicate dwarf iris or Iris reticulata in a window box or pot on the front steps, where you’ll be able to enjoy their good looks and their subtle perfume.

Try simple daffodils like ‘Carlton’, ‘King Alfred’ or English bluebells grown in random plantings, scattered and then planted where they fall, beneath trees in your garden. They’ll look great and often produce a really good display beneath the outer spread of trees, where it may otherwise be difficult to encourage much else to grow. Shrubs and even climbers can also be used for naturalised bulb plantings, but because they’re

Guiding you through the process of applying for probate or undertaking a full administration of an estate. MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR ISA ALLOWANCE Everyone can take advantage of their annual tax-free ISA allowance. For the 2021/2022 tax year, you can deposit up to £20,000 into ISA accounts. This is unchanged from 2020/2021. This can all be put in a cash ISA, a stocks and shares ISA, or split between both cash and stocks and shares. TAX-DEDUCTIBLE EXPENSES Many expenses incurred while running your business can be deducted from your profits, reducing your overall tax. This could include things like fuel, phone costs, or running costs for your home office and may more that we would be quite to discuss these with you. SELF-EMPLOYED CAR COSTS You can generally claim the running costs of a car you use for business. If you use the same car for your private use, you can claim a proportion of the total costs. To do this, you'll need to either add up all of your motor expenses for the year and work out the percentage of business miles you did, or you can claim a fixed rate mileage allowance for business travel. CASH-FLOW BOOST FOR SELF-EMPLOYED As a business owner, you can choose when your accounting year ends - and it's worth choosing carefully. If you pick an accounting year-end date earlier in the tax year, you'll have more time to pay tax on your profits. This means that as your profits increase, your tax bill will rise more slowly. However, be care if the period covered by the accounts cover two tax years as this may give rise to overlap profits, so professional help should be taken. NOTE: However, be careful as there is a HMRC consultation that ends on 31 August 2021 with a proposal to simplify the basis periods for self assessment that may affect tax payers that do not have a 31 March or 5 April year end. We will publish more details when known after the consultation. ANNUAL LOSSES If you make a loss in one tax year, you can carry it forward and offset it against profits from a future year. There is an option to carry it back and set against previous profits as well. This decreases your taxable income. PAYMENTS ON ACCOUNT Generally, self-employed people will be required to pay tax in two advance payments one in January and then July following. The amount you'll pay will be based on the previous year's tax bill. So, if you expect to earn less one tax year than in the year before, you can apply to reduce your payments on account. You'll need to submit form SA303, either online or via mail to HMRC DIVIDEND ALLOWANCE Each year, you can earn a certain amount of income from dividends before paying tax. This was reduced on 6 April 2018 - but you can still earn up to £2,000 in dividend income without paying tax each year. You could also consider allotting share(s) to your nearest and dearest to take advantage of this tax free amount.

Recipe Lamb and Aubergine Curry This quick curry is so easy to make and much cheaper than a takeaway. We’ve used lean lamb steaks, but you could replace the lamb with pork fillet, chicken or turkey. Serves 4 | Ready in 50 minutes 3 tbsp sunflower oil 650g lean lamb steaks, cut into chunks 1 onion, peeled and chopped 1 large aubergine, cut into cubes 2 tbsp rogan josh curry paste 400g sieved tomatoes Salt and freshly ground black pepper Fresh coriander leaves, to garnish Chapattis, sliced tomatoes, cucumber and onion, to serve

TIP You’ll find jars of curry paste in most supermarkets and they certainly take all the hassle out of making an authentic-tasting curry at home. Rogan josh is a medium-hot paste but for a really mild flavour use a korma paste, or go for a vindaloo paste if you prefer a curry with a little more heat.

Heat 1 tbsp of the oil in a large deep frying pan. Add the lamb chunks and fry over a high heat until browned all over. Remove the lamb from the pan with a slotted spoon and set aside. Add the rest of the oil to the pan and fry the onion and aubergine for 7-8 minutes, stirring all the time until golden. Stir in the curry paste and cook for one minute. Pour in the sieved tomatoes and bring to the boil. Return to the lamb to the pan and reduce the heat to a simmer. Cover and cook gently for 25-30 minutes until the lamb is tender. Stir occasionally and add a splash of water if needed. Season to taste with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Serve the curry in warmed bowls garnished with coriander and with chapatis, sliced tomatoes, cucumber and onions.

Pay it Forward The ‘pay it forward’ movement is not a new concept. It dates all the way back to 317 BC where it was used as a key plot concept for a play in ancient Athens. There are small documented events of the “pay it forward” notion throughout history; however, it became a widely popular concept after the 2000 movie of the same name, which was based on the novel by Catherine Ryan Hyde.

The simplest way to define ‘pay it forward’ is that when someone does something for you, instead of paying that person back directly,

you pass it on to another person instead. One of the easiest examples of this is buying a coffee for the person in line behind you at the coffee shop and then they buy a coffee for the person behind them and so on. So, why do so many people live their lives according to this principle? It has been proven that acts of kindness build exponentially in a community and because people believe that one good deed deserves another. ‘Paying it forward’ can make the world a better place.

It has been lovely over the summer to see people out and about meeting as families and friends. Being able to take a break or at least to have days out has been a great treat. One of the things that I have loved most over the last few weeks is being able to celebrate with couples and families as we have been able to hold weddings and baptisms/christenings. Being able to hold these services and celebrate these important times in the lives of couples and families is very special. Many of our families and couples have had 1, 2 or even 3 delays to their plans and find it hard to believe that the day has actually arrived. Being able to sing is something else that is wonderful – to fill our church building again with singing made me cry on our first Sunday back in church! The verse from the Bible at the start of my letter is one that is well known as a reading that is read at weddings, we had this when we got married. It is also a reading that is

increasingly chosen for funerals when people want to remember the love that they have shared. These last 18 months have been a test of our faith, hope and love in many different ways, whether you are someone with faith in God or not, our faith in many areas has been tested. Hope is such a crucial ingredient in our lives, it is something that I have seen make a difference between life or death at times. Love, as the passage says is the greatest of all, it is one of the most important things to have in our lives – to love and to be loved. This has been tested too as we have not been able to see those that we love, and as people have had to spend days and weeks together in isolation. It is privilege to celebrate love at baptisms, at weddings and at funerals and to tell people about a God who loves them, whatever they have said, whatever they have done. September is often a time of new beginnings and new starts as schools returns but whether this is a new start for you or same old, same old…May you know faith, hope and love in your life today.

Yaxley Methodist Chapel Come and Join Us On 25 July we opened our doors for our first service since lockdown. It was wonderful to be able to gather together again and welcome a lovely Mum and her young Daughter who came to join us for the first time and baby Alice who is quite at home thanks to her Mums' Busy Bees Group. Social distancing and taking other Covid safety precautions didn't distract from the joy we felt to be back in our Cosy Chapel. On 15 August we will be there again and the Service will be led by Matt Forsyth who has been leading some of our Internet services. Matt's Question Time is always fun. Exciting New Projects for Young People Following our update in the previous issue, there has been an overwhelming response to the #YoungYaxley project. Its clear that the community is behind our mission to deliver more activities, experiences, and opportunities for young people.

With the ongoing support of Social Echo, the Young Yaxley team has built a network of collaborators and is already developing exciting new projects for young people. We’d like to thank Marco and the Team Sementa family for their fundraising support, which raised £100 towards our homework club project. We would also like to thank the Yaxley Public Hall Committee for providing us with a home every Tuesday and being extremely accommodating to us. We would also like to thank Fourfields Community Primary School for supporting us with a location for the Cambridgeshire County Council Think Communities bus visit on 29 August, where we were able to share more of what we and others are doing in the community.

Social Echo’s exciting new partnership with How Are You Cambridgeshire & Peterborough has allowed us to connect the Young Yaxley projects with a much wider network of partners across the county, we are excited to meet directly with the How Are You team who have started working from the Social Echo hub in Yaxley.

YOUR CHANCE TO PUT PETERBOROUGH ON THE PERFORMING ARTS STAGE September 2021 will be hailed as the month when Peterborough finally becomes firmly established on the national Performing Arts map. That is the ambition of Pino Soccio, the enthusiastic founding force and Managing Director of Young Technicians. The reason is that the Young Technicians Academy, a specialist educational facility, training students in all forms of the Performing Arts, Media and Live Events industries, will be opening its doors in Eagle Park, Yaxley. Local musician and technician, Pino, can call upon many years of experience, performing both locally, and also at national venues such as London’s O2 Arena. The inspiration behind Young Technicians came whilst Pino was working in a secondary school for many years, wanting to deliver something new and exciting for young people to take part in. Launched in Whittlesey in January 2016, a handful of students were trained in the live events industry. Since then, the scheme has expanded into many different educational establishments across Cambridgeshire, Peterborough, Fenland and beyond, and consists of a balance of theory work, practical work and endless possibilities for the students who take part. By becoming a Community Interest Company (C.I.C.) in July 2017 has really enabled it to grow, with money reinvested into the future of the scheme and the students within the community. Now, working with a directorship team, Pino has created the Young Technicians Academy, due to open next month. The present Young Technicians programmes have a 98% pass rate, with 85% of students moving into

higher education or into jobs related to their respective industries. All students are given multiple opportunities to showcase their new skills in a range of internal and external events, including festivals, showcases, concerts and tour days. A variety of industry professional workshops is hosted throughout the year, in partnership with touring engineers, performers and producers. At the Academy, specialist sessions will run for an hour a week and, during school holidays, there will be workshops, inventory days, intensive courses, and events, giving students a range of activities to choose from. At the new, purpose-built, 2,600 sq.ft, Arts Centre in Yaxley, students will be able to collaborate between departments on any projects that students lead, or towards any coursework. The courses are designed to encourage students both academically and creatively, with a wide range of content across theoretical and practical knowledge. No prior knowledge is needed, as full training for each course pathway will be given. If you have a passion for any of the Performing Arts, then the Young Technicians Academy is the best place for you.

younggazette HOLME VILLAGE PRESCHOOL The preschool had a very busy summer term, ending with a beach day, a dress up day, a party and a wonderful graduation ceremony for the children who will be moving up to 'big' school in September.

WILLIAM DE YAXLEY ACADEMY The last week of term is always emotional saying goodbye and good luck to our fabulous year 6 children. In spite of bubbles closing, teaching live online lessons, staff isolating and various restrictions, we have tried to keep the usual end of year traditions going as much as possible.

Our year 4 children also went on a visit to the village of Burwell to undertake geography fieldwork – comparing and contrasting two village locations. We are hoping that our new year 4 children will be able to return to Burwell for a residential visit next year. Our year 3 children had fabulous weather when they visited West Stowe to support their learning in history. West Stowe was a settlement during the Bronze Age and there are recreations of buildings including a farmer’s house, a hall, a weaving house and a workshop to explore. Teachers are already busy planning day trips and residentials for the children to enjoy next year and support their learning in a variety of subjects. We must say a HUGE thank you to Mr Seb Hayes, our sports coach, for planning and organising a Covid version of Sports Day for the children to enjoy. Last year we only had the year 6 and key worker children in school for our first Covid Sports Day. This year he planned an event that 220 children were able to take part in and enjoy. Year 6 did not have to take any SATs this year (hooray), but they did still have to complete some end of year tests for the Trust. The fantastic FOWDY team very kindly agreed to use some of the money they have raised to buy the children fish and chips to celebrate the end of testing week. We’d like to thank the FOWDY team for our lovely lunch and for the visit of the ice cream van in the last week of term. This week we all enjoyed watching the Year 6 Leaver’s assembly. For a second year we had to record the assembly and share it with the school, friends and family virtually, rather than inviting people in and performing in our school hall. It was great to hear what the children have enjoyed doing and learning during their 4 years here, what they are looking forward to at their new schools and their dreams and aspirations for the future. We send them off on the next part of their journey with our love and very best wishes. We are really looking forward to welcoming our new year three children in September. Mr Stocking and Mrs Lenton have been busy organising virtual meetings with children and parents, talking to year two teachers and giving tours of the school to small groups. 54 children went on a 3 day residential to Caythorpe Court, which is a PGL centre, and took part in a variety of challenging and adventurous activities including rifle shooting, raft building, various climbing activities and the giant swing. It was fantastic to see children who thought they couldn’t do something, grow in confidence and smile when they realised that they could. So many children mentioned this as one of their favourite memories in our virtual leavers' assembly.

Fresh Vision for the Fens Being able to positively impact the lives of local young people is a hopeful ambition – and one which the Wildlife Trust in Cambridgeshire aim to realise in a new project. A whole new field of fun for dogs

The Blackman family have farmed in and around Stilton and Folksworth for generations and be it working dogs or pets, dogs have always been at the heart of the family. We currently have three dogs who you may see pop up on our social media channels and website frequently. It is so important that dogs be allowed to run free, play, sniff and in general... be dogs. We also understand that many dogs cannot be walked safely 'off lead' for a variety of reasons. Some dogs are very anxious around other people or dogs, some dogs are rescues and it takes a while to build the bond and recall needed for being off lead. We, ourselves, have had escape artist dogs, those that will chase things, will try to run home when anxiety gets too much (yes Ethel, we mean you). Sometimes it's the humans who can't walk far, so letting

their dogs visit a space like ours allows the dog the exercise that they otherwise can't manage. So, we have created The Stilton Dog Field. A huge, fully enclosed, 4 -acre paddock that users can book for exclusive 50 minute sessions. There are some obstacles with more being added as we develop the field. There is water, a poo bin, poo bags and even a toy box. The field is situated at the South end of Stilton High Street, in walking distance to a café, shop and pubs, with it’s own gated parking.

The Healing Power of Nature As much as one needs food for nourishment, one also needs activities that bring the healing that nature can bring Here on the farm, we love producing the food that helps feeds the nation, and we love getting out into nature and allowing the peace it brings to calm our hearts and minds. Wild swimming has been hot on our to do list this summer and whenever a free moment allows, we grab our kit and head to the river. I hope we have all enjoyed this gorgeous summer as we emerged out of lockdown and continued our routines which get us into the outdoors.

If you ever see a bailer, just sit and watch that marvellous machine work for a while. You might find it as soothing as I do, as the rows of straw are bailed into rectangles neatly placed on the field.

Farm work is changing over to autumn preparations as we look forward to getting the seeds in the ground for next year’s harvest. We are so grateful the weather has been favourable this harvest towards our farm; although we do have some farmer friends in the area whose fields were sadly hit by storms this year. Storms that brought with them some hail, and we were very sad to hear that those storms had damaged some of their crops. That is always very hard.

healthandwellbeing CPSL Mind’s Good Life Service expands Flu Vaccination Programme For those patients eligible for an annual flu vaccination, our clinics will be held on Saturday 25 September (Over 65s) and Saturday 16 October (Under 65s). What is an Open calm space? An Open Door calm space is a facilitated session, providing a safe space to learn and practice self-help techniques such as breathing exercises and mindfulness, which can help reduce stress and anxiety. Who is it for? This group is open to all. If you are looking for wellbeing support or are feeling anxious and overwhelmed this group would be ideal for you. What will I get from it? Everyone feels overwhelmed at times and our Open Door Calm spaces provide somewhere to go if you need a bit of space and tranquillity. These sessions also offer guidance on self-help techniques which can help you to 'ground yourself' and feel better – both in that moment and in the future.

Do I have to book or can I just turn up? To help manage numbers in each venue, we do require you to sign up before attending an Open Door Calm Space. Please sign-up by emailing: ruralgoodlife@cpslmind.co.uk Do I have to come every week and do I have to stay the whole time? There is no obligation to regularly attend. To prevent disruption to other attendees you won't be able to join the Open Door calm space 15 minutes after start time. Mind’s Good Life Service is offering free, community-based, wellbeing support, and is introducing its Good Mood Cafes, and Open Door Calm Spaces to Yaxley residents. Good Mood Cafes are informal get-togethers to connect individuals with other like-minded people within their communities, offering wellbeing support and the sharing of interests and skills. Open Door Calm Spaces provide somewhere to go for those seeking some space and tranquility, while Peer Support Groups offer the opportunity to share lived experiences with others. After a period of being solely online over the past 18 months, these services are now also beginning to return to face-to-face sessions. Following community consultation with focus groups and listening to the needs of local people, the expansion of the Good Life Service will help to address the identified gap in mental health community resource in these rural areas of Peterborough – with a focus on supporting people who would not normally access support. Working in close partnership with Primary Care Networks, GPs, social prescribers, health and wellbeing coaches and specialist mental health practitioners to provide joined-up mental health support, the aim of the new service is to use strength-based approaches that empower people to identify and use their own skills and talents in ways that connect them with their wider community. Jo Clarke, Community and Partnership Manager, commented “We are delighted to be expanding our Good Life Services in these communities and, by working in partnership with others, will be able to offer truly joined-up community based mental health support, reaching people that are not currently accessing services. This works out as an average of 450 deaths each day or one every three minutes in the UK. So it’s vital we look after our hearts and that we can recognise the symptoms of a heart attack

Follow your Heart Keeping your heart healthy All the general advice about keeping healthy applies for heart health too. A diet with plenty of fruit, vegetables, protein and complex carbohydrates, but low in sugar. Alcohol intake adhering to the recommended limits and particularly not binging. No smoking – particularly as smokers are twice as likely to have heart attacks. Even cutting down will help. Around 150 minutes of exercise weekly that raises your heart rate. If you don’t exercise at the moment, start small and find an exercise you enjoy. Even if you can’t adhere to the guidelines perfectly, cutting down on the bad stuff and doing more of the good stuff is better that no effort at all.

Symptoms of heart attacks Heart attacks don’t always present with sudden intense chest pain. Sometimes symptoms can be mild and build gradually (particularly in diabetics) or come and go. Although chest pain is the most common symptom, more than a third of sufferers don’t experience it. Other symptoms include:

Women may experience all these symptoms or none, but they’re more likely to experience the less common symptoms: pain in other areas (particularly the upper back), shortness of breath, sweating, nausea or vomiting, dizziness and unusual tiredness (sometimes for days). Without chest pain, they may not realise they’re having a heart attack.

Don’t panic, but do act swiftly and if in doubt always call 999.

If you are on your own and don’t have anyone to deal with the crisis for you, you should move as little as necessary and call an ambulance. Take an aspirin if it’s nearby – but don’t exert yourself to reach it.

If you are with someone you suspect is having a heart attack, you should phone an ambulance immediately and as much as possible stay with the patient. The aim is to keep both the heart attack sufferer and yourself as calm as possible until help arrives. When it comes to fighting fraud, there is a free and easy way to help stamp out scammers Safe Local Trades are proud to be working in partnership with the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Against Scams Partner (CAPASP). CAPASP is a county-wide partnership of public, private and voluntary sector organisations committed to working together to stop scams and doorstep crime across the county. This is something that Safe Local Trades has also been championing for over a decade. Scams are fraud and fraud is a crime – and it may come as no surprise to know that criminals have used the Covid-19 pandemic to target victims online, email or via text; mainly through impersonation scams, romance fraud and investment scams. Parcel fraud, HMRC, NHS Test & Trace, vaccination, ticket fraud, social media investment fund scams and attempts to dupe Tax Credits customers are among the top set of sophisticated schemes. Each year, scams cost the UK economy between £5bn-£10bn. In addition to the financial impact, scams can have a severe emotional and psychological impact upon victims. While anyone, irrespective of age, gender, education or economic background, can be a victim of a scam, these crimes are experienced particularly by people in our communities who are vulnerable for a variety of reasons, including poverty, isolation, frailty, disability and cognitive impairment, and by those who have been targeted specifically by organised, predatory criminals.

You may have been a victim of a scam or attempted fraud yourself. By sharing knowledge and developing solutions together, here is how YOU can help. It is really easy to become a Friend Against Scams just by attending a short online awareness session. In just eight minutes; you will be guided through:  Types of scams  How to spot a scam victim  Spotting the signs of a scam  Helping family and friends  Reporting and advice Becoming a supporter costs nothing yet brings huge rewards; and you may be helping a family member, friend or neighbour from becoming the next victim. Local councils, community groups, charities, businesses, schools, housing associations and other organisations or individuals can become supporters. You will receive useful information from CAPASP to share with your community. This includes information on the latest scams, or new funding opportunities, for example. Supporters also have access to resources such as posters and leaflets. These include general information on scams and details of local support.
