Reflections about the meeting in Austria Second time in Austria after six years but the same feelings arriving at San Peter am Wimberg: a small village for great people.

It was a wonderful experience to meet old and new friends, knowing little students, appreciate their school.

The staff training in Austria was very important from the cultural point of view, as this is the goal of our project. It was a wonderful experience to know Austrian culture during the visits in the museums and other cultural objects.

The festival at school organized with the whole school community was also a memorable experience - the students presented their roots in a very involving way, showing not only the music and dance but also teaching us how to do it, which was a fun way to learn.

The theatre performance about respect and tolerance has definitely left a mark in all of us.

Workshops with the students, on the other hand, was a great chance for us to share the elements of our culture,

Ewa WoĹşniak (Poland) The meeting in St Peter Am Wimberg in Austria was a unique experience for me. I had the chance to visit the Austrian school and compare it to ours, which was important to me from the perspective of a school deputy headteacher. I also learnt a lot about Austrian education system. The most memorable thing were the meetings with children, working with them and letting them teach us. I find it a good method of working during classes. I believe

that our communication skills improved a lot.

The experience of working together and having fun will not be forgotten. It is important to combine these two things. During the festival we could see the students perform and also involve us.

Involving into what we teach is crucial.

The trainings for teachers also gave me more ideas of how to conduct lessons to make them more accessible for our students.

I enjoyed learning the culture while visiting St Peter and Linz. It was great to see the Austrian roots and learn about its culture more.

The meeting in Austria was compelling and functional from many different aspects.

First of all, a lot of educational ICT tools were presented. We were pleasantly surprised to see that some of them are effectively used in the educational process in our own school. What

is more, the cultural roots of the country were perfectly revealed through different trips and visits. Finally, the school itself was so cosy, the teachers and children so friendly and helpful that it rose a desire to stay there with those hospitable people.

Reflections about the meeting in Poland "We are leaving !!" It is the joy and enthusiasm of the six children of the Primary school G. Cirincione ready to go to Poland under the Erasmus + KA229 Project My Roots Become Our Wings -Travel Agency.

A year passed between various activities and experiences connected to the project, to which our fourth and fifth graders participated with a strong spirit of initiative and strong involvement. The 5th class was awarded the victory in the logo competition among the participating schools of the six partner countries, Cyprus, Romania, Austria, Lithuania, Poland and of course Italy, with a truly original idea that concentrates the meaning in an image of our project "My Roots become our Travel Agency Wings".

The children approached the culture of the schools that hosted the first three meetings, producing brochures full of news and curiosities, visited a travel agency to understand how it works, "opening" one at school to try to become small agents of travel.

And now here are the thoughts that briefly summarize the expectations of our students shortly before departure: “For me this journey will be an opportunity to learn many things and become more mature, autonomous and responsible.

Knowing other people

with different culture, history and traditions is an enrichment for me, a useful way to be citizens of the world "Federica S. " The thought of going to Poland really amuses me because I still can't believe that I go so far without parents. I will have so much fun. ”Nicolò " I am very excited but also a little scared for the very long journey. enced a different but equally intense emotion that will carry with them forever. Despite their young age, they were able to adapt to a different lifestyle and school organization, making new friends with the host boys and with those who, like them, embarked on the Erasmus trip leaving their loved ones for the first time, to discover new adventures.

A perfect welcome, lovely host families, giving the best to our children, multiple cultural visits and opportunities to meet different cultures have contributed to making the meeting a fun opportunity for personal growth.

ROMANIA

The Romanian MRBOWTRAVEL AGENCY has started its work! Firstly, we worked on some posters and flyers to promote our main places of interest. Then, we did the same for our partners from Sicily, Italy. Because the food is an important part of our tradition and roots, we started to cook and taste traditional recipes. We enjoyed it so much! It was a pleasure to learn from our families all the steps and then to cook in teams delicious menus!

CYPRUS: It was an incredible experience for all of us and I wish we could stay longer, to learn even more about the Polish cultural heritage!

We gained new knowledge, we made new friends, we played, we laughed and lived truly amazing moments, which are now beautiful memories! A huge thank you to our teachers and Erasmus Plus for giving us the opportunity to be part of this experience!

Maria Kitsiou, Teacher, Cyprus ROMANIA: Between 27-31 May 2019, as part of the activities of the Erasmus+ MRBOW

project, I had the privilege to visit the Polish cities Olstyn, Gdansk and Warsaw.The beauty of the cities, the sights, the architecture and the museums (especially the museum dedicated to World War II) have impressed me greatly. To this I must add the warm hospitality which was bestowed on us and which made us all, especially our pupils, feel so much at home.

We were partakers of various interesting activities, we learned a lot about the history and about the traditions of Poland, as well as of the other countries represented. Together with our pupils, we learned new means of using tablets in class. It was a wonderful experience for myself and for my pupils.

Reflections about the meeting in Poland The visit to Poland was very beautiful. I made friends from other countries, I tasted some of their traditional dishes, I visited places of great historical importance. It was very nice, but it lasted too little, Vlad.

My opinion about the trip to Poland is that it was an awesome way of learning history and culture. I met a lot of awesome people

that made me feel like home.I will ask my future teachers to join the Erasmus+ program to be able to go to another trip to learn even more. Our meeting in Olsztyn was a great opportunity to meet my friend and partner, Jolanta Okuniewska and to share experience with other Polish educators. I enjoyed a lot the beauty of the places we visited and the old traditions and customs we met. Cornelia Melcu, Teacher, Romania LITHUANIA: Irada: It was our first short-time mobility for groups of students. I’m really satisfied with how it went on there. The students were very warmly welcomed to the families and they were enjoying every moment of their stay. I was feeling happy watching them communicating with other students, using their English, enriching their understanding of intercultural values. When the time

came to say goodbye, all of them couldn’t keep their tears away.

Darius: Well, the family that I lived in was friendly, kind and very funny and helped us a lot. Our Lithuanian group has made a lot of friends from around the world. It was very sad going back home especially when we had to wait for the bus to pick us up. The girls - they cried a lot. We went to Gdansk. There we visited the World War II museum. The next day every country had to make their traditional dish. We made cold beets (šaltibaršąiai in Lithuanian). The last day we went to the school. In the school there was a sports day.

There was free ice cream.

We planted a tree and buried a time capsule.

Then we went back to the families.

There we had our last meal. It was delicious. Later we had to wait for the bus to pick us up to go back home to Lithuania. It was very sad going back home and leaving the fam-

Reflections about the meeting in Poland

Domas: On Sunday I was so excited that we finally came to Olsztyn. We met our families and went to their homes. On Monday we met new friends from 5 countries. Then walked around the city, I was so tired but it was worth seeing it, because the city was beautiful.

On Tuesday we went to the Museum of the 2nd World War in Gdansk. It was very sad but real and we have to know our roots. On Wednesday we went to another school to make our traditional dishes. We made a cold beetroot soup. Other countries made some delicious food too. I really liked It. The day was great. Thursday was the last day. Everyone was so sad because we needed to say goodbye. We played games and did some sport activities. The time has come when we had to drive home. These days were the best in my life.

Vilte: In this travel I learned about Poland and even met

a lot of friends. The people and students were very friendly. They taught me words in their languages.

We taught them Lithuanian words too. I will remember this travel all my life.

Gabriele: It was really interesting being in Poland.

We met people from other countries and learned some intercultural things, some words in their languages. Also we lived in very good families. And Olztyn is a very beautiful city. I want to come back there one day‌ Titas: Olsztyn... This is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. It makes people cheerful. The buildings are old and attract an eye, and in the old town you can walk all night and all day.

Narrow streets are filled with different scents and new things. I liked the city a lot, also the project activities, new people and the families that hosted us.

Saule: this trip to Poland was very interesting and fun. I learnt a lot of new stuff, words in other languages, made lots of new friends. Activities were exciting, entertaining and interesting. I really enjoyed

and loved them. Poland is a very beautiful country with wonderful cities like Olsztyn. People from Austria, Poland, Cyprus, Italy and Romania are very friendly and helpful. I cannot wait for the next meeting when we can all meet again!

Dalia: MRBOW-TA provides wonderful opportunities to students and teachers to get familiar with different cultures and traditions, to communicate and cooperate with each other, develop various competencies and skills in an inclusive way. We knew Poland through our local trips, walking around, visiting museums and ethnographical parks, we cooperated with others while sharing our gastronomic traditions, learning together during the workshops. It was a great experience!
