He sold the gallery but then stayed on for the new owners until 2006 when he and his wife relocated to Wimberley. Pitzer grew up in Houston, but he knew the area from his visits to see family who live in town. “Wimberley being an artsy community was a big plus (in moving here),â€? he said. “There’s room for everybody from beginners to professional to seasoned artists.â€?
