ABOUT THE COVER

Coats for Kids Celebrates its 30th Anniversary STORY BY KENDALL GUINN PHOTOS BY BRANDI NELLIS

C

OATS FOR KIDS was founded by Jack Brown Cleaners, a family-owned and operated dry cleaning business, that opened its first location in Austin in 1935 under the name “San Jacinto Laundry.” It wasn’t until 1971 that the company changed its name to Jack Brown Cleaners. The idea for Coats for Kids was born out of a convention of top tier dry cleaning companies in the U.S., attended by leaders from Jack Brown Cleaners. Not everyone was convinced that Coats for Kids would be successful in Austin. It’s Texas, after all, and winters don’t get as cold as they do in Northern states. But the Brown family had a hunch that it could be just as successful here as in other states. Jack Brown Cleaners hosted the inaugural Coats for Kids drive in December of 1986, partnering with Goodwill Industries of Central Texas. The first Coats for Kids was hosted at the Goodwill at 5th and Lamar, where HomeAway’s downtown offices now sit. The Junior League of Austin became involved with Coats for Kids in 1994. As the program gained momentum, it outgrew the Goodwill facility. In 1995, it was moved to City Coliseum, a converted airplane hangar with dirt floors that sat where the Palmer Events Center is now located. The League’s mission for Coats for Kids was to provide support in three key areas: organization, fundraising and volunteers. According to Paul Brown, president of Jack Brown Cleaners, JLA “brought a new level of organization to the initiative.” In 2002, Palmer Events Center opened and became the new home for Coats for Kids Distribution Day. Each year a coats drive competition is hosted throughout the Austin area. Local businesses and schools compete to collect coats, and donations at Jack Brown Cleaners locations skyrocket! Sometimes the donated coats fill the entire lobby! For three weeks out of each year Jack Brown Cleaners dedicates an entire cleaning plant to Coats for Kids. Coats are cleaned, dried, then stored. Each load contains 45-50 coats and takes one hour and fifteen minutes for the clean-to-dry cycle. By Distribution Day, Jack Brown cleaners are usually storing 30,000-40,000 coats. Coats are moved via palletized containers and a lift truck to the Palmer Events Center. It takes about 250 containers and 21 trips to and from the storage center to get all the coats there. During sorting week, volunteers will look for rips, tears and stains on each coat so that only gently used or new coats are given to children. Youth Sorting Night is open to children ages eight and up. The League capped the number of volunteers at 300 due to popularity! Any coats that are not handed out on the floor on Distribution Day are given to dozens of other non-profits through the coat surplus program. Paul Brown credits the immense success of the Austin program to a combination of organization provided by the JLA, and the strong media attention garnered through partnerships with radio and TV stations, including

KVUE and KVET. Since its founding thirty years ago, over 900,000 coats have been donated. The Junior League of Austin and its partners hope to hit one million coats in the next two years. To volunteer with or donate to Coats for Kids, visit www.jlaustin.org/coats.

LAURA ROBINSON, Patent Attorney at Dunlap Codding, wife, mother, philanthropist and conscientious citizen of Austin Coats for Kids Chair 2016-17 The first time I volunteered on Distribution Day with Coats for Kids, it changed my life. Over the past eight years, The Junior League of Austin trained me in preparation to serve families all over Central Texas as Chair of Coats for Kids. It has been an unforgettable opportunity. Within the League, I have served in multiple capacities, from guiding volunteers to grant writing, and I am so honored to serve now as Chair at a time when we celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Coats for Kids.

RACHEL ZANDER, Critical Care Registered Nurse in the ICU at North Austin Medical Center, wife, mother, Volunteer and community servant Coats for Kids Chair-Elect 2016-17 My involvement as a community volunteer for Coats for Kids moved me specifically to join The Junior League of Austin. I promptly served two years on the Coats for Kids committee and, over the years, have been asked to take on several leadership roles within the League. I love showing families around the racks of coats on Distribution Day but, most of all, I love seeing the smiles on their faces. I am so thankful to the Junior League of Austin for providing this service to Central Texas families for 30 years and for letting me be a small part of it!

ENTRAL TEXAS Water Coalition’s (CTWC) Evening under the Stars at the Star Hill Ranch in Bee Cave was a fun-filled fundraiser. The Sunday evening event honored Senator Troy Fraser as the first recipient of CTWC’s ‘Guardian of the Lakes’ award. Representative Paul Workman, who serves on the House Natural Resources Committee; Representative Donna Howard, and local and regional leaders from Llano, Burnet, and Travis counties were thanked for their support and commitment as Highland Lakes’ water warriors. CTWC works tirelessly to protect our precious natural resources and our way of life. The event brought together thought leaders, elected officials, civil servants Lakeway Mayor Joe Bain, Nancy Bain, Jean and David Hennagin and community and business leaders to celebrate the importance of our lakes. Attendees enjoyed an evening of cocktails, a live and silent auction, a fabulous dinner provided by Café Blue and a concert by music great Radney Foster. CTWC takes a broad-based and multi-disciplinary approach that is based on learning and the application of facts, current science, and best practices for water management. In addition, CTWC has been on the front lines, working diligently to protect and preserve our lakes and our livelihoods. The lakes are the source of drinking water for Central Texas, and without smart water management and continuing public policy advocacy, Commissioner Joe Don Dockery Ret. Judge Donna Klaeger we may lose the vibrant community and Midge Dockery around the lakes we love. The lakes are still at risk. Without improvements to the water management plan, equitable water pricing that encourages conservation and efficient water use by all water users, and the use of updated hydrology and climatology studies to assure current conditions are reflected in WATER is the economic lifeline for Texas. Our Rene and Phyllis Campos, Community Impact future planning, our future is threatlakes provide drinking water for 2 million people; ened. CURRENT CHALLENGES include our exploding CTWC is the only independent population, the need for more conservation by all, grassroots group working solely the need for smart growth and the use of accurate to protect the lakes and the water data. We know that low lake levels cause large reductions in propBrett Abbott erty values and associated tax revenue for our schools and government, loss of revenues for businesses and lost jobs, significant increases in fire risks due to water accessibility issues, and significant water use and curtailment provisions. As a nonprofit organization, CTWC needs funds to continue hydrology research, legislative efforts, and community outreach in order to make an impact on the water planning and policy decision-making at local, regional and Pete Clark, of Cafe Blue who donated the fabulous meal; Buzz Watkins, Sail & Ski statewide levels. OSPICE AUSTIN added to its tradition of successful fundraising with another presentation of the always popular Beauty of Life. Held at the JW Marriott, the 11th annual event brought approximately 800 people together for an exclusive shopping experience featuring boutique partners, an extraordinary silent auction, brunch, and a powerful speech by keynote speakers, Lori and Wayne Earl. Shannon Wolfson, of KXAN, emceed the fundraiser, and the presenting sponsors were Lexus of Austin & Lakeway and Texas Oncology. Esther Earl was only 12 years old when she was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. She died four years later, when she was only 16. In was during that four year period that she met John Green, who would later write The Fault in our Stars. Green stated that the first inspiration for The Fault in Our Stars came Robin Banister, Beauty of Life Co-chair; Emcee Shannon Wolfson, Valerie Newberg, Beauty of Life Co-Chair from when he worked as a student chaplain at a children’s hospital, but his work Gyllian Garvey, Kristin Dillavou,Lisa Psihramis Cathy Collins, Linda Henson was also profoundly influenced by Esther Earl. Green credits Earl for inspiring him to finally write the book, which became a No.1 New York Times Best Seller. To carry on Esther’s legacy, her parents, Lori and Wayne Earl, formed the nonprofit foundation This Star Won’t Go Out. This foundation helps families of children living with life-threatening cancer. To date, they have given more than $400,000 dollars in financial grants to help lighten the burden for families. To honor their daughter, Lori and Wayne also posthumously published the book This Star Won’t Go Out: The Life and Words of Esther Grace Earl, a collection of the journals, fiction, letters, and sketches of the late Esther Grace Earl. Lori and Wayne also travel to speak to families about taking care of a teenager with cancer, while sharing Esther’s appreciation of love and life. While the final amount raised has from Presenting Sponsor Lexus of Austin and Lakeway not yet been determined, Hospice of Austin has reported that they raised a record-setting amount this year. The proceeds from this event go to Hospice Austin, a nonprofit organization that eases the physical, emotional and spiritual pain of any person in our community facing the final months of a terminal illness by providing expert and compassionate care, education and bereavement support.

HE FIRST annual Lake Travis FFA Alumni’s Southern Soiree was held at Star Hill Ranch, a fitting setting for an organization that cleaves to Texas themes of ranching and agriculture. The Soiree featured dinner, dancing, musical entertainment, and a silent and live auction. Verdes Mexican Parrilla catered the event, and Sweet provided the desserts. Following the wonderful Lake Travis Fiddlers, Andrea Marie and the Magnolia Band kept patrons dancing under the stars! Joshua Rush conducted the auction. This event, chaired by Michelle Ellisor, brought in $22,000, a sweet fundraising victory for the first Soiree! Proceeds raised from this fundraiser will be used to help Future Farmers of America (FFA) from Lake Travis and the surrounding areas as they participate at the Travis County Youth Show (TCYS). The TCYS, held annually at the Travis County Expo Center, have a mission to develop the character of Texas youth through competitive livestock and youth fair projects. HE WOMEN’S CLUB of Greater Lakeway displayed plenty of style, loads of charm and a measure of elegance at the annual fashion show titled “Project Runway, Lakeway Edition”! Held at the Lakeway Resort and Spa, these local Lakeway models graced the runway with this year’s latest trends in clothing and accessories, all of which were provided by Dillard’s Hill Country Galleria. The models featured various clothing Carol Dann styles for different occasions, including boho chic, casual attire, and formal evening wear. The show even featured a surprise, the lovely Paula Tye, a former resident of Lakeway, as the “guest model.” The audience went wild! After Transformation Salon styled the hair and Dillard’s applied the make-up, these ladies were Project Runway ready. So much so that even Tim Gunn and Heidi Klum would have been impressed! Dee Ann Burns and Jackie Lloyd served as the co-chairs and were assisted by many other committee members. VER 18 MONTHS ago, 66 University of Texas students made a serious commitment to service, leadership and volunteerism when they applied and were selected as Texas 4000 riders. For 18 months, these students were involved in fundraising and leadership activities while simultaneously training to participate in the longest Charity Bike Ride in the world, a 70-day marathon, during which they would bike 4,000 miles from Austin to Anchorage, Alaska. Starting together in Austin, the group splits on the second day to travel three different routes, forming the Sierra Team, the Rockies Team and the Ozarks Team. All teams reunite in Canada to ride the last nine days together into Anchorage. Along the way, the riders made many stops to educate communities about cancer awareness and prevention and to visit cancer hospitals. Todd Steward, Texas 4000 Board Member and CEO of St. David’s South Austin Medical Center discussed the difficulty of the ride. It is so difficult that even after 18 months of training, some students may experience doubt and the thought of quitting may haunt them. Steward stated, “You can stop. You can take a break. But, you can’t quit. Cancer doesn’t quit.” Steward went on to report that every minute, 3 people are diagnosed with some form of cancer. In the face of that dismal statistic, these students chose to fight.

In videos prepared for the event, several riders shared heart-wrenching stories of loss of parents or siblings to cancer. Most riders ride in honor of a family member, and some have battled cancer themselves. The Texas 4000 for Cancer’s annual Tribute Gala celebrated and honored the riders return to Austin. Held at the JW Marriot, this event featured dinner, music, and silent and live auctions. Presenting sponsor was St. David’s HealthCare, and the gala was chaired by Brandi Horne. Tyler Sieswerda, who now resides in Dallas, returned to Austin to be the emcee for this gala, for the 11th time. MELANOMA IS A SERIOUS skin malignancy that can be fatal. Early detection is critical. Regular self-skin examinations and establishing care with a dermatologist are both important. Risk factors include a family history of melanoma, a personal history of atypical (dysplastic nevi), a history of significant sun exposure, and having light-complected skin. Melanoma may develop even in parts of the body that are usually covered and protected from the sun. It is very important to see your dermatologist at least once a year for a comprehensive skin examination. I joined Lakeway Dermatology in December 2015. Along with Dr. Mary Ana Cunningham and Dr. Emily Prosise, I regularly perform full body skin examinations and screen my patients for melanoma, atypical (dysplastic) nevi, non-melanoma skin cancers, and other skin conditions. I am boardcertified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, Dermatopathology, and Dermatology. The definitive diagnosis of melanoma and other skin cancers rests on histologic examination. As a clinical dermatologist and a dermatopathologist, I am able to correlate the clinical and microscopic features of the lesion being being examined.I educate my patients about how to examine moles and emphasize that growth of the lesion is most important, especially when rapid, or accompanied by color change or symptoms including bleeding or itching. Sun protection is critical, and I recommend zinc- or titanium-based sun screen, with frequent reapplication, as well as sun-protective clothing at all times. I am truly honored to be a resident and a healthcare provider in this community and hope to see you at Lakeway Dermatology very soon! (Alde Carlo Gavino, M.D.)

AT NATURAL BIO HEALTH, we believe in empowering our patients with information about Bio Identical Hormone Therapy and Effective Weight Loss Programs so our patients can feel better and find solutions to symptoms other providers have not shared. Our patients often tell us they have not been able to find answers to their symptoms, and they continue to go untreated and the patients still don’t feel normal or like themselves. We listen to our patients and address symptoms for each individual and provide answers and solutions our patients deserve and have been seeking. As we age, there is a natural decline in our hormones and in the process of how we absorb nutrients. This decline causes fatigue, lack of quality sleep, decrease in stamina, increase in weight, and short-term memory loss, among other symptoms related to diabetes and Alzheimer’s. The symptoms you are experiencing are due to Hormone Deficiency. At Natural Bio Health, we use All-Natural Bioidentical Hormones, identical to the hormones our bodies produce when we are younger. Our patients feel better have more energy, and are able to prevent diseases such as osteoporosis, heart disease, stroke, Alzheimer’s breast and prostate cancer. Fresh Dermatology HOLIDAY SKINCARE Whether you are entertaining guests this holiday or attending someone else’s affair, there’s a lot to think about. While it’s easy to remember to get your hair and nails done, skincare is sometimes forgotten. Below are a few strategies to make sure you stand out like the North Star at your big event: Light reflects best off of a smooth surface. Over time, the surface of the skin can become cluttered with dead skin cells and fine hairs called vellus hairs. A medical procedure called Dermaplaning can remove dead skin cells and fine hairs from the skin’s surface, giving it a healthy glow. The week before a big event is not the time for a major overhaul. Procedures like Botox should be done 2-6 weeks before an important outing. Filler can occasionally cause bruising so you will need to plan two weeks in advance for that as well. Lash lengthening products also need a few weeks to work, so it’s best to plan ahead. Running out of my time? Don’t panic. Invest your resources in a mild chemical peel or Clear + Brilliant Laser treatment, followed by platelet rich plasma. With minimal downtime and noticeable results, this combination will make you the belle of the ball. Finally, the right products really can make a difference. Apply Tensage Serum Ampoules by Biopelle nightly for 7 days before a big event. Add radiance to the under eye with Neocutis Lumiere Riche. Finally, apply Skinceuticals A.G.E. Interruptor under makeup for a flawless finish. The friendly and knowledgeable staff at Fresh Dermatology is always available to help make your skincare goals come true.

The Austin Film & Food Festival STORY BY BROOKE TOELLER | PHOTOS BY PATTI PIESZCHALA

T Buddy Quaid, Keegan Schroeder, Billy Able

HE AUSTIN FILM & Food Festival’s 15th annual Fundraising Party paid tribute to the city’s film industry and famous culinary talent. Held at the historic Driskill Hotel, this fundraiser brought together locals and out-of-towners to honor and support the film arts while enjoying creative cocktails from the Driskill’s master mixologists and imaginative cuisine from some of Austin’s finest chefs. Twin Liquors provided the wine; designer craft Hendricks Gin cocktails were available; and Odell Brewing Company provided the beer. Silent and live auctions tempted guests with jewelry, trips, experiences and more. With an extensive and award-winning career, Phil Rosenthal served as the Honorary Chair. Rosenthal was the Creator of “Everybody Loves Raymond”, and for all nine years of the show, he served as the Showrunner/Executive Producer. This show was nominated for more than 70 Emmy Awards, and won 15. In 2002, Rosenthal won the David Ackel, Auctioneer

Ten years ago, the Texas film industry was boosted by state-provided incentives. This 2.62 mile run/walk is a family event that unites celebrity teammates, local high school teams and communities who champion Austin area children battling rare and undiagnosed medical conditions and inspire them to reach their own “finish lines of recovery”. Talaya Frazier founded CC4C after struggling to find a diagnosis and cure for her daughter, Cheyanna. Westlake after Dark STORIES BY BROOKE TOELLER | PHOTOS BY PATTI PIESZCHALA Although the Fall Equinox occurred as scheduled on September 22, apparently fall temperatures did not receive the memo. It has been unseasonable warm, and we are just now beginning to feel a teasing premonition of crisp mornings and evenings. The fall in Texas is usually so glorious, if short! Two of our favorite places to linger after Dark are County Line on the Hill and The Grove in Westlake.

THE COUNTY LINE

Bruce Brown, Katheryn Luker

A Hill Country staple since 1975! The County Line on the Hill, which was once a well-known speakeasy from the 1930’s, was founded by Texans who love Austin, its culture, and good BBQ, and they were dedicated and determined to run a restaurant that offers the best BBQ and side dishes around. The County Line provides a substantial plate of quality BBQ at a great price, offers friendly table service, and introduces a unique and historic location to honor the Texas culture. The outdoor seating at The County Line has a spectacular 20-mile, panoramic view of the Hill Country, with a trace of the flickering lights of Austin seen in the distance. And the sunset over the hills is breathtaking! Their menu features what you would expect at a BBQ restaurant, but the taste of their high quality meats will blow your mind. For appetizers, you can die for either the famous homemade bread served with honey butter, their Mexican Deviled Eggs, or the queso fries. Main dishes include a family style meal (all you can eat!) or one of their large BBQ platters (be prepared to share or have leftovers). They serve their legendary beef ribs, scrumptious sausage, tender brisket, peppered turkey, mouthwatering baby back pork ribs, and succulent chicken. Sides include fried okra, coleslaw, potato salad, beans, and so much more. Their renowned sauce adds the ultimate to the BBQ experience! There are no bad options on the menu, and it’s understandable why they say you will want to “get it all over ya.” Between the picturesque setting, casual and relaxed ambiance, and tasty food, it is no wonder that The County Line on the Hill has created an iconic reputation that has lasted over 40 years.

WESTLAKE AFTER DARK Towering oaks provide an unmatched setting for the Grove patio.

Filmmaker Eric Robbins, Christina Smith

THE GROVE WINE BAR AND KITCHEN The menu and the extensive wine list at the original location of The Grove Wine Bar and Kitchen in Westlake, described as one of Austin’s “cult classics,” have kept the crowds coming back for more for almost a decade. Located on Bee Cave Road, just west of 360, the ambiance on the restaurant’s tiered, outdoor patio is magical and romantic. Surrounded by hundreds of twinkling lights and sheltered by towering oaks, the setting is visually inviting. Inside, the bar area is happening and lively. The Grove’s menu offers a variety of options including bruschetta, crispy Brussel sprouts, steak salad with smoked Gouda, and specialty pizzas, as well as many vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free meals. The vast wine list will not disappoint. If you are looking to sample a few different wines, you can select from one of their ten preprepared flights. They also offer a wide-range of white, red, sparkling, and dessert wines from Europe, South America, and America. Whether it’s date night, lunch or an evening out with the girls, a family meal, or a business meeting, the Grove Wine Bar and Kitchen is beloved by so many! Micha and Geoff Leach

ARTIST PHILIP BAROUSSE HOLDS ART AUCTION IN SUPPORT OF PTSD Local impressionist artist Philip Barousse donated half of the proceeds generated from the sale of his collection of paintings at an auction at Steiner Ranch Steakhouse to Veterans with PTSD. Concerned by shocking estimates that some twenty-two veterans die by suicide every day from the effects of PTSD, Phil, a US Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War, felt a duty to help his comrades-in-arms. Speakers included Julie Oligschlager, who lost her son Chad to PTSD and Dr. Tanya Glenn, who donates her time treating veterans with PTSD. After the auction, Philip was honored for his generosity and his military service with an army bayonet mounted on a wooden plaque. A brass plate was inscribed with Phil’s name, Navy rank and years of service in Vietnam, as well as recognition of his donation.

Scott Roberts, owner of the Salt Lick BBQ

Roadshow Westerns and Barbeque! STORY BY CINDY WEBB | PHOTOS BY PATTI PIESZCHALA

A

CCORDING TO Henri Mazza, VP of special events at Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, plentiful BBQ, Texas nights, and Western movies on an outdoor screen provide the perfect recipe for a fantastic time. The Alamo Drafthouse Rolling Roadshow collaborated with the Salt Lick, on alternate Sundays beginning August 28, to provide movie and BBQ fans magical evenings of fun and food, rooted in themes of the West. What could be better than settling in for a thrilling Western movie in the Texas Hill Country at twilight with the scent of BBQ still lingering in the night air? Located in The Salt Lick’s stunning Pecan Grove venue on the banks of Onion Creek, participants were treated to heaps of the Salt Lick’s mouthwatering brisket, ribs, and sausage, followed by a classic modern Western. The movies included Tombstone on August 28, starring Kurt Russell and Val Kilmer as the legendary gunslingers Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday; Django Unchained, Quentin Tarantino’s vengeance epic on September 11; and Serenity, director Joss Whedon’s Western-flavored sci-fi adventure on September 25. Scott Roberts, owner of The Salt Lick BBQ, has been immersed in the Texas barbeque culture from his youth. Roberts’ ancestors landed in Driftwood, Texas as part of Stephen F. Austin’s “Old 300” in the early 1820s. Fast forward to 1967, Roberts and his brothers helped their father, Thurman, build the original barbecue pit that was the foundation of the family restaurant business. Thurman’s small BBQ stand led directly to the growth and achievements of the Salt Lick, with restaurants in both Driftwood and Round Rock. Hungry travelers can also find delicious Salt Lick BBQ at the Austin, Dallas-Fort Worth and Oklahoma City airports. Despite expansions, the offerings of the Salt Lick remain steeped in family tradition, with recipes that have been in the Roberts family for over a century. Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, founded in 1997 by Tim and Karrie League, started as a single-screen mom and pop repertory theater in Austin. Today’s 24-location chain has been named “the best theater in America” by Entertainment Weekly and “the best theater in the world” by Wired.com.

The Alamo Drafthouse theatres are a movie-lover’s dream. Not only do they provide movie-goers with a fabulous cinematic experience but they also offer great food and drink, brought directly to the theater seats. Additionally, they provide high profile, star-studded special events and unique programming, including their innovative Rolling Roadshow. “The Rolling Roadshow is an outdoor pop-up cinema experience,” said Mazza. “We produce all manner of special events.” From the “Movies in the Park” to “JAWS on the Water,” that include audiences floating in inner tubes on a lake while divers grab their legs during key scenes, to Westerns in the twinkling Texas night, Alamo Drafthouse Cinema continues to surprise and please. According to Mazza this is the second collaboration between the Salt Lick and The Alamo Drafthouse. “In November of 2015, we did movie parties featuring “Blazing Saddles” and “The Three Amigos” in one weekend,” he said. The event offered a BB gun range before the Blazing Saddles showing and a mariachi band and piñata party before Three Amigos! “We had a great time,” said Mazza. “The Pecan Grove location is magical.” The two groups hope that both movie fans and BBQ fans enjoyed this most recent collaboration. “There may have been Salt Lick BBQ fans at the Serenity screening who hadn’t seen an episode of Firefly [the TV program that spawned the movie]. Hopefully this turns them into massive Firefly fans and they go back through the entire series. Or maybe fans of Django Unchained had not eaten Salt Lick’s BBQ before and now they’ll be addicted to Salt Lick’s great food and atmosphere. The best part about these kinds of events is that it doesn’t matter which aspect draws people,” said Mazza. “We were able to blend two types of crowds together for some great events!” “We’ve both been fans of what the other has to offer for years now,” added Mazza, regarding the relationship between Salt Lick and Alamo Drafthouse. “We got to talking about a program that could be fun to do together. The Salt Lick does a great job of making all-you-can-eat BBQ buffets, and we love pairing great food experiences with great movie watching experiences. As we were talking about a potential collaboration, we took a tour of the Pecan Grove space and everything just clicked into one of those ‘Yeah, we pretty much HAVE to do this’ kind of moments.” Additional screenings of Rolling Roadshow movies at Pecan Grove are planned, with details to be announced.  Each screening event is kicked off at twilight with a tasty BBQ buffet, (though in true Doc Holiday fashion, you’ll have to BYOB). Tickets are $38 and available in advance and at the gate. Admission includes the BBQ buffet and movie screening.
