LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT What’s New for 2016? Hello again fellow Timberwood Park residents. I’d like to start this letter with a quick review of 2015. In 2015, a new bathroom facility was built by the playground, and the walk bridge from the playground to the pavilion was rebuilt. The pool filtering equipment was replaced and the pool was re-plastered. The lake was stocked with fish in the spring, and the fish are large enough for some good catch and release. There were many great social events in 2016. The “MIP”, (music in the park) events continue to be a community favorite and the level of talent at these events continues to get better every year. So what is new for 2016? Outside the community, the eastern portion of Borgfeld Road should finally be completed, and work on the western section has started. By now, the new traffic light at Blanco Road and Slumber Pass should be complete. A new septic system will be installed for the clubhouse and pool restrooms this spring. The fitness center, received a makeover with a new floor, new TV, and some updated equipment. You may have noticed that the County is replacing old street light bulbs with new LED bulbs as they go out. We have several new projects that are being discussed but have not been finalized, including but not limited to a dog park, some upgrades to the pavilion, repairs to the walking path, and other maintenance items for the park. The Board is working to schedule a brush collection and cleanup for March. Please see the social calendar later in the newsletters for the scheduled date. Many volunteers are needed for this event. The most significant project being discussed is to remodel or replace the current clubhouse. This is

a major undertaking and will take some time if we decide to move forward, but the planning process will start soon! The first step of this project is to get community feedback on this project as quickly as possible, as this is a major project, so the board of directors will send out a survey via E-blast regarding the clubhouse project. If you are not signed up for E-blasts, please do so by logging into the Spectrum Association Management website at www.spectrumam.com and create your account. Spectrum and the HOA use E-blasts to communicate important notifications and updates to property owners. There will also be many more discussions regarding this project at upcoming board meetings. Another change for 2016 is a new community manager for Timberwood Park. Terri Allen, with Spectrum Association Management, is our new community manager. Terri is not new to Timberwood Park, as she managed our community a couple years ago. Continued inside
