Your generosity supports and enhances the lives of the children of Bexar County.
First published in 1955, the Rotogravure—named for the early printing method that made richly detailed photo sections possible in newspapers—is one of our largest fundraisers.
This year’s Rotogravure highlights San Antonio’s finest; from schools,
cultural institutions and restaurants, to professional services providers and luxury goods purveyors.
It’s an opportunity to celebrate and promote what we love about our community while supporting those who will build its future.
We are grateful for you, our donors, for joining us in this mission.

Every dollar granted creates waves of positive change that touch countless lives.
From the first playground built in the 1950s to the latest tech upgrades provided this year, we’ve been there through every era, adapting to meet the evolving needs of our community’s children. The best part? We’re just getting started!
Back in 1954, the Charity Ball Association took its first leap of faith. Our very first grants went to two incredible organizations that are still changing lives today: Sunshine Cottage and Boysville.
THE NUMBERS TELL AN AMAZING STORY
$30,233,567 and Counting!
That’s right - over THIRTY MILLION DOLLARS has flowed directly into programs that support Bexar County children since 1954!
SPECIAL PROJECTS & EMERGENCY SUPPORT
• $2,050,000 awarded through our Significant Impact Gifts (SIG) program
• $633,010 distributed through our Children’s Opportunity Fund for emergency needs - because sometimes kids can’t wait
When kids needed safe places to play and learn, we answered the call:
• 54 playgrounds built - that’s a lot of swings, slides, and smiles!
• 23 roofs repaired or replaced - keeping kids dry and programs thriving
• 43 HVAC units installed or fixedbecause comfortable kids are safe kids
• 62 programs funded - from afterschool care to specialized therapy
• 73 technology projects supportedhelping kids stay connected to the digital world
OUR COMMUNITY FAMILY KEEPS GROWING 252 agencies have received our support over the decades and 33 organizations have been awarded grants 10 or more times.
