That’s it, nothing fancy, no Ralph Lauren Polo Shirt types in view, but rather a throwback moment and sea of cowboy hats and baseball caps of how the business was originally conducted by mavens to the trade. The fellows know how they’re a dying breed and more part of a fading tradition as progress and greed dictates much of the recent goings on in these parts, and it’s becoming more evident with the way the show is going that suits and speculators are infiltrating the purity of Junker-to-Junker sales. For guys like the guys under the tree the art of searching, negotiating, buying and eventually selling is maintaining the spirit of what made this show, this show. A certain care and thought process went into every buy before it was ever brought to town.
