our commitment to sisterhood and service, the San Antonio Alumnae Chapter has not let obstacles thwart our efforts to
ordinances against mass gatherings prevented our being able to host the 2020 Queen of Hearts Coronation and Showcase of Talent in the traditional fashion. However, the Queen of Hearts Committee and the contestants persevered, and this souvenir book is a testament to their commitment and hard work. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was founded on the campus of Howard University 107 years ago by twenty-two courageous young women who had a collective desire and commitment to make a change in their college community and in the communities in which they lived and worked after they graduated. San Antonio Alumnae is working hard to live up to that legacy, and your support of this fundraising event ensures that we can continue to offer scholarships, sponsor youth programs, and provide service in the San Antonio/Bexar County area. This year’s Queen of Hearts program is appropriately themed “Uniquely Me,” and each of the ten contestants has shown herself to be beautiful and talented in her own unique way. We congratulate them all on their hard work and wish them continued and continuous blessings in their future endeavors. The Queen of Hearts program is not simply a fundraising pageant. It is designed to assist young ladies in building their confidence, enhancing their public speaking skills, and developing their social graces. And we hope they have made new friends in the process. Finally, we extend a heartfelt thank you to the families of the Queen of Hearts contestants for the countless hours of work they have put in to make sure that their daughters felt supported and the event was successful. Kudos are also extended to all the members of the San Antonio Alumnae Chapter for your support and encouragement.

Mychael is the daughter of Rev. Michael & Mrs. Joy Brown. She is 17 years old and attends the STEM Academy at Lee High School. Her favorite subject is Microbiology. Her favorite hobby is dance and her favorite food is shrimp alfredo. Someday, she would love to visit Paris, France. The one thing that Mychael wants you to remember about her is that she is a Summa Cum Laude graduate.
Mychael Brown Raina is the daughter of Chris & Rochelle Gooden. She is 7 years old and attends Copperfield Elementary. Her favorite subject in school is Math. Her hobbies are playing on her phone, playing outside with friends and her favorite food is macaroni & cheese. Someday, she would like to visit Bahrain. The one thing that Raina wants you to remember about her is that she’s really nice, responsible and if you get to know her, you will be really good friends.
Raina Gooden Tye’Yana is the daughter of Tristan Ball and Monica Goodman and the granddaughter of Darryl & Yolanda Crooms. She is 9 years old and attends Potranco Elementary. Her favorite subject in school is Math. Her hobbies are playing basketball, drawing and science activities and her favorite food is spaghetti. Someday, she would like to visit New York.The one thing that Tye’Yana wants you to remember about her is that she is kind and a lot of fun to be around.

Braylee is the daughter of Lindsey Logan. She is 5 years old and attends Young Women’s Leadership Academy Primary. Her favorite subject in school is Art. Her hobbies are gymnastics, dancing, swimming and biking and her favorite food is chocolate. Someday, she would like to visit the St. Louis area to see her God sister Zoe. The one thing Braylee wants you to remember about her is that she is fearless.
Braylee Logan Kennedi is the daughter of Kellen & Ashley Parham. She is 6 years old and attends Encino Park Elementary. Her favorite subject in school is Writing. Her hobbies are art and writing books and her favorite food is Ribs. Someday, she would love to visit Disney World. The one thing Kennedi wants you to remember about her is that she is compassionate and used to play basketball.

Her hobbies are basketball, track and dance and her favorite food is chicken nuggets. Someday, she would love to visit Paris. The one thing that Aniyah wants you to remember about her is that she is a kind person.

The one thing that Jasmin wants you to remember about her is that she tries not to focus on the negative and live life to the fullest.

Diadra is the daughter of Sammy & Kim Washington. She is 18 years old and attends East Central High School. Her favorite subject in school is Culinary Arts. Her hobbies are running, hiking, cooking and reading and her favorite food is honey BBQ frito twists. Someday, she would love to visit Italy. The one thing that Diadra wants you to remember about her is that she is passionate about spreading environmental awareness and helping others.
