Help preserve a bit of history
Let the Fredericksburg Standard-Radio Post help spread the good news.
By including engagement and wedding announcements in the local paper, couples are sharing their news and preserving a bit of history for future generations.
The Standard-Radio Post runs engagement and wedding announcements with photos free of charge, as well as follow-ups on wedding parties and showers.
Couples should submit their engagement article and photo up to one month prior to the wedding date and their wedding story and photo one month after the event.
The paper has wedding and engagement forms that couples can fill out to help with the article writeup.
Announcements run in the “Life & Arts” section of the newspaper.
Black and white photographs or color photographs can be used. Photographs that do not meet reproduction standards will not be used.
Electronic copies of photographs will be accepted, provided that they are submitted in a jpg format at a minimum of 300 dpi resolution.
