DR. SPEARS' SELF-INVESTMENT
Noteveryone is blessed with great genetics. Even though they brushed and flossed religiously growing up, some people lose their teeth simply because they are genetically predisposed.
Dr. Phil Spears is the definition of a good man. He married his high school sweetheart, Betty Lou, and they are still as in love as they were 66 years ago. Dr. Spears spent his entire career in education, teaching and advocating for children as a school principal.

Working in public education is not a glamorous job, nor is it the key to financial riches. People like Dr. Spears dedicate their lives to instilling knowledge in our youth because it is a noble and altruistic calling, not because it is going to bring them fame or fortune.
Despite a lifelong commitment to caring for his teeth, Dr. Spears was simply destined from birth to have trouble with them. Over the course of his life, he spent untold thousands of dollars on bridges and other procedures. Ultimately, though, all the costly Band-Aids failed, and left Dr. Spears with a disaster on the top of his mouth. “My teeth were really bad,” explains Dr. Spears. “I’d spent all this money with nothing to show for it.”
After decades of dental work and expensive procedures, Dr. Spears had a mishmash of different toned implants, broken posts, defective bridges, and glaring holes where teeth should be. And he was told there would be more procedures needed with no end in sight. It was a bad experience to say the least. After that Dr. Spears decided to look for a better solution.
“I figured why not just go get full implants and be done with it?” remembers Dr. Spears. “They’re strong. They’re sturdy.”
Because it is not a small dollar investment, Dr. Spears equates his choosing The Marquis Center to provide his ideal smile to the decision one makes when buying a car. You want quality proven over years of excellence.
“All the prices were about the same, but it comes down to quality,” the long-time educator explains.
What impressed Dr. Spears with The Marquis Center was more than just a track record of success. “It went beyond that. When I first went in there, they treated me like family. They still treat me like family. They make you feel special.”
The other thing that impressed Dr. Spears was that The Marquis Center offers a custom smile. He didn’t want a bright white "Hollywood Smile." He still has his bottom teeth and wanted his full arch upper implants to match them.
Dr. Spears got the natural, age-appropriate smile he wanted. Even more impressive, says Dr. Spears, is that the procedure really didn’t hurt.
It was a long road to get there, but in the end, Dr. Spears has a carefree smile he and his beautiful wife Betty Lou can be proud of. And he can finally eat things like popcorn again.
Sometimes what seems like a big investment can actually save a lot of money in the long run.
“I always had problems with my teeth. If I had just done this when I was in my 40’s, I would have been so much better off," summarizes Dr. Spears – saying so with a smile.
