I

n the beginning, as a boy, I earned extra money cutting lawns and doing odd jobs around my neighborhood in Jersey Village, Texas. At that time, I had no idea that meeting a lady by the name of Delilah would help choose the direction of my life.

She asked me to trim her trees, take care of her lawn and clean her pool. I told her I could handle the landscaping tasks but that Iâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;d need instruction to clean her pool. Without hesitation, she showed me how to clean her pool and so began my long and winding road in the pool industry.

I started in the industry at the age of 15, and I am currently 47 years old. I literally started at the bottom and learned the trade from the ground up. Because of my background in the industry, I am able to design and engineer the most HIÂżFLHQW ORZ PDLQWHQDQFH DQG XVHU IULHQGO\ SRROV LQ WKH industry.

I love what I do for a living and itâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s not just about earning a paycheck for me.

Most of my clients have become my friends. I canâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t tell you how many pool parties Iâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;ve been invited to and I canâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t lie, itâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s pretty cool being â&#x20AC;&#x153;The Poolmanâ&#x20AC;? at a pool party.

Word started to spread and I found myself cleaning several pools for other neighbors. Once I got my drivers license, I started cleaning more pools, and at one time I found myself cleaning 44 pools a week. It was a great job for a young guy. Spending the days outside with no boss looking over my shoulder.

As for our crews and permanent staff, most have worked with us for many years. We have forged a great bond and strong relationships with each other. Because of our relationships and dedication, our clients receive the best from our crews, without a doubt, on every job.

I tried a few other trades along the way, most of them construction related, but I always went back to pools and it quickly became clear that I was destined to be â&#x20AC;&#x153;The Poolmanâ&#x20AC;?.

In the past, I have worked for a couple of pool companies doing pool maintenance in areas like River Oaks, Memorial, West University Piney Point etcâ&#x20AC;Ś As soon as I was given WKH RSSRUWXQLW\ , EUDQFKHG RII LQWR UHSDLUV ÂżOWHU FOHDQLQJ and other pool related services.

When I was in my 20â&#x20AC;&#x2122;s, I began to do some pool remodeling.

I started with replasters, then I took on some retile work, and before long I was doing complete pool renovations.

We are very proud of our long standing, great rating with WKH %%% DQG HYHQ PRUH VR RI RXU YHU\ ORQJ OLVW RI VDWLVÂżHG clients from past to present. We are still standing strong due to our commitment to quality and true customer care, both during and after the construction process.

I really enjoy that facet of the industry.

Much of what Iâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;ve learned over the years while remodeling, was an excellent learning experience and without it I would not be the pool builder that I am today. When youâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;re in the pool renovation industry, you get a lot of different things thrown at you and you learn how to be a great problem solver while creating something beautiful out of something old and outdated.
