DIRECTOR’S LETTER Greetings to all athletes, parents, coaches, state advisors, and supporters! On behalf of the SSSF staff and Board of Directors, I am pleased to welcome everyone to the 2016 SSSF National Championships! We expect this year’s tournament to be similar to 2015, with approximately 3,000 competitors, plus almost 10,000 coaches, parents, grandparents, siblings, and other spectators during championship week. We are glad YOU are part of it all! This event is the culmination and celebration of the hard work put forth all season by athletes, coaches, parents, and state advisors. We thank you all for the time, effort, and resources you put into your teams ALL YEAR LONG. These contributions are vital to promoting youth development and to securing the future of our firearms rights. There is so much to do during championship week. For SCTP participants, we are again offering handicap trap, doubles trap, and doubles skeet, in addition to our standard events. For SASP participants, competition slots are open throughout the week. Back by popular demand is the SCTP Last Competitor Standing event on Wednesday and Friday. Last year we saw about 800 competitors come out for the Friday night competition. Could we see 1,000 this year? Several side events will also be available for all to enjoy, including Make-a-Break, Crazy Quail, and action shooting side matches at the berm. Coaches and parents are encouraged to participate in these side events and have some fun as well! Don’t forget Thursday is College Recruiting Day at the banquet hall. College representatives will be on hand to discuss education and shooting opportunities beyond high school. Larry and Brenda Potterfield will also be available for a meet-and-greet on Thursday at the banquet hall from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. Please stop by to say hello, snap a photo or two, and thank them for all of their generous support to the SSSF and SCTP/SASP team endowment accounts at the MidwayUSA Foundation. Looking for new gear? Nationals is also your place to shop! The vendor shops at the Cardinal Center will be open and are sure to have everything you are looking for. Please stop in during your downtime and see all of the vendors who have come to Marengo to support your National Championship event. Special thanks goes out to our hosts at the Cardinal Center for accommodating our event this year. They have invested in significant infrastructure additions to accommodate all aspects of our event. Our current arrangement in Ohio are for one year, while we also have a one-year suspension agreement with the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) for the WSRC in Sparta. We will be revisiting our options for the 2017 site in the fall of this year and will be keeping all of our members, partners, and supporters informed as we know more. TR AP PR ACTICE/LOCATION/PRICE Friday, July 8th – Tuesday, July 12th Banks 5-6 in front of the Vendor Buildings $5.00 per round Anyone wishing to practice Skeet or Trap on days that are not available at the Cardinal Center, can do so at the Black Wing Shooting facility, our official practice range. Information available at registration and sign up! Adult/Coach supervision required to purchase practice rounds and while shooting. **Drivers License is required to purchase practice keys. License will be held on file until practice key is returned.

REGISTRATION: Head Coaches must check in at the Central Events Building, verify their team entry and squadding information, and pick up their Shoot Packets in person. All coaches will be required to sign off on their team’s squadding, verifying that all squads and divisions are correct! Squads with mixed division athletes will be placed in the Open division. However, they must be complete (full) squads. Team and athlete event registration fees may be refunded through July 5. After July 5, there will be no refunds for event registration.

COLLEGIATE - NEW Athletes must have participated in an accredited SCTP College Program in 2015-2016. College Division will include ALL Collegiate and College Open squads this year. SCTP will host an SCTP College Championship tournament, October 28 – 30, 2016 at the Cardinal Center in Marengo, OH. This is open to all SCTP-registered college teams and athletes. 3 Divisions, over $75,000 in endowment funds, trophies, medals, and lots of fun!

SIDE GAMES / ACTIVITY DETAILS Game tickets can be purchased for $5 each at the SCTP Merchandise Counter in the main building. “LAST COMPETITOR STANDING” – Men’s & Ladies’ Division – College Division – (Sponsored by the NRA) Two nights: Wednesday and Friday Registered athletes get an ID entry bracelet at Merchandise Counter. $5 per athlete. CAMPING SCTP / SASP NATIONALS 1. ALL visitors must register with the office upon arrival. Daily Fee of $5 fee per adult and $3 fee per child age 11 and under, which allows visitors swimming and fishing privileges. 2. ALL visitors are asked to leave the grounds by 10 p.m. CURFEW is 10 p.m. for ages 17 and under. QUIET time will be observed from 11 p.m. to 8 a.m 3. ONE unit per site for a family of four (2 adults & 2 children). One additional child size tent (5 ft. sq.) is permitted. Additional guests are to pay daily rate. Limit 8 guests per site. 4. PLEASE observe the posted speed limit. Watch for children and pets. 5. NO lifeguard on duty, do not leave children unattended. 6. RECREATION, pool & shower facilities are for the sole use of paid guests. 7. YOU are responsible for your children and those of your visitors. Children age 14 and under must have adult supervision while using the facilities. 8. PLEASE do not cut through occupied sites. 9. NO state license is required to fish in the stocked lake. Catch and release only. 10. WE welcome friendly pets on leashes (do not leave unattended). Please clean up after your pets. Pets are not permitted in cabins, buildings, or pool area. 11. NO fireworks of any kind are permitted on our grounds. 12. CAMPFIRES in fire rings only. ONE fire ring and picnic table per site. DO NOT remove the fire rings or tables. GOLF CARTS must be driven by licensed drivers only, with proof of insurance; and may only be driven on roads and golf cart paths. 15. NO ATVs, mini-bikes, motorized scooters, or dirt bikes may be used to drive about the grounds. NO bicycles after dusk. 16. ONLY 2 vehicles per site. Utility trailers, boats and extra vehicles may be parked in storage area for $35 per month. 17. NO mail delivery on the grounds â€“ please rent a P.O. Box in Marengo. Also no personal messages delivered to sites. 18. PLEASE keep park clean; place trash in dumpsters or receptacles. Cutting of trees or shrubbery is prohibited. 19. NO outside refrigerators, washers, or dryers permitted. 20. WASHING of campers/RVs is not permitted (please use Sparkle â€˜n Shine Car Wash, featuring an outdoor RV bay). 21. NO alcohol permitted in recreational buildings, in the pool, or on golf carts. Drunken or rowdy behavior will not be tolerated. 22. UNRULY guests will be asked to leave the premises. MATCH INFORMATION & GUIDELINES PR ACTICE: PRACTICE BAYS (2)

Practice bays will be available during the week for teams to practice their skills prior to competing in the SASP match. Hours are: 8:00am to 4:00pm. Teams will need to schedule time on the practice bays. Availability is in 15-minute increments. Price is $10 a team for 15 minutes. *Coach supervision is required to purchase and schedule time on the practice bays and while the team practices. REGISTR ATION: Head Coaches must check in at the Central Events Building, verify their team entry and squadding information, and pick up their Shoot Packets in person. All coaches will be required to sign off on their team’s squadding, verifying that all squads and divisions are correct. If a squad is incorrectly listed, the squad will be placed in the Open division. Team and athlete event registration fees may be refunded through July 5. After July 5, there will be no refunds for event registration.

2016 SCTP & SASP National Team Championships

ADDITIONAL GUIDELINES FOR SCTP & SASP: 1. Current ATA, NSCA, NSSA, USA Shooting and SASP rules, as well as rules in this program and any match or National Director’s bulletins posted on this range, govern this match. 2. All participating athletes and coaches must be registered and fully paid with the SSSF before competing. Event registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. For SCTP and SASP, all reservations will be done electronically through the team login at www. sssfonline.org. 3. All ammunition and practice rounds are the responsibility of the participant. 4. Alcohol/illegal or individually non-prescribed drugs and firearms do not mix. Alcohol and other illegal substances are strictly forbidden by the SSSF during this event. Further, any person who is found to be in possession of, or under the influence of, alcohol or drugs while using, cleaning, maintaining, inspecting, or otherwise handling their shotgun or any other firearm at any time will be immediately disqualified from the entire event and asked to leave without refund. 5. Safe gun handling and appropriate shooting attire are required. Flip-flops and open-toed shoes are prohibited. No tank tops, mid-drift tops or shorts above mid-thigh are allowed. Reprimands will be issued based on violation and could ultimately mean disqualification from the tournament. 6. Hat shooting is strictly prohibited during competition. Once all competition has been completed, hat shooting may occur 1) ONLY after receiving permission from the tournament director or staff member and 2) under the supervision of a state advisor or coach. Any competitor who participates in hat shooting outside of both of these conditions will be immediately disqualified and asked to leave the competition without refund. 7. All shooters must sign the score sheet (next to the score total) before leaving the range. 8. Use of any tobacco product by anyone under the age of 18 is against Ohio State Law, and any use of tobacco product by an SCTP/SASP participant under the age of 18 is against SSSF guidelines. Participating in the use of tobacco products can be grounds for disqualification from the tournament. 9. Any athlete or adult disqualified from the tournament will not receive a refund of any tournament fees, game fees, practice fees or any other funds paid to SSSF or it agents. 10. 1-5 Place ties in the Individual Skeet & Trap events will be broken by long run back and then long run front. Sporting Clays ties will be broken by three pre-designated tie-breaker stations. SASP ties will be broken per rule book. If a tie occurs for final ranking, the In & Out stage score will be used as the tie-breaker. If that does not break the tie, the fastest single run of that stage will be used as the tie-breaker. If still needed, the second and third run will be used as the tie breaker.
