Let the Tables Be Open! As previously reported, MGM opened up shop just outside Washington, D.C., MGM National Harbor, in December and it’s just getting started. In early December it also opened up its poker room where players were able to partake in over 100 tables among a total of 3 Las Vegasstyle poker rooms. Sign up early though, the waitlist for players can get lengthy at times with 150 players seeking to hit big numbers when they feel lucky.

Weird News
Getting that oil change turned out to be an experience for one Pennsylvania couple. Amanda Sherman, 24, gave birth on January 2nd, 2017 while waiting at a car dealership that was changing the oil in her husband’s pickup. While waiting, she went to the rest room and felt no pain or contractions when she began to deliver what would be her 7 lb., 12 oz. baby girl Heather. Congratulations to the new family and their zooming entry into the world.

Paisano Educational Trust Mission Statement: Publish the student newspaper to provide practical experience for students at the university of Texas at San Antonio. The Paisano is a self-supported, student-run weekly newspaper. In more than 30 years of publication, The Paisano has won numerous awards from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association and was a Gold Medalist in 2000. The Paisano is distributed at both UTSA Main and Downtown campuses, as well as several local businesses. More than 31,000 students attend UTSA.

Director's Desk The roles performed by people involved in charitable bingo in Texas vary widely as do the responsibilities in each of those roles. Everyone involved in charitable bingo in Texas should be constantly performing their respective duties in a manner consistent with state laws and regulations to ensure that bingo is fairly conducted. The following is a brief overview of the roles and responsibilities of the various types of bingo licensees. CONDUCTORS A licensed, authorized organization’s roles are to: A)
conduct bingo in accordance with the Bingo Enabling Act (Act) and Charitable Bingo
Administrative Rules (Rules), B) properly maintain complete and accurate records of its bingo occasions; and C) ensure that all funds from the conduct of bingo are used for authorized purposes. These roles start with the organization as a whole and include active members of the organization, the chairperson, operators and bookkeepers.

Breakfast burritos are a big deal in San Antonio and Austin and Torchy’s has rightfully earned its place as one of the best in both locations as reported on foursquare.com. They take their tacos seriously and deliver it fast with a friendly smile while offering to get you anything you may have forgotten on your way to your table. They offer 9 different overstuffed tacos for breakfast, anything from standard eggs, bacon, and cheese to beef fajita with Diablo sauce. The lunch and dinner menu includes 14 different tacos plus sides, chips and dips, and treats. I can’t get my granddaughter out of there without an order of Lil’ Nookies; deep-fried chocolate chip cookie dough dusted with powdered sugar and topped with cherries. If you’re in a rush to get to bingo, you can order online and swing

They know that to get a premium taco you have to use premium items so they don’t skimp on the details. They also responsibly sourced their products because they care about the planet and the people who live on it. Heart Healthy It’s no secret that we all could use some heart helping mechanisms and activities in our lives. We get bombarded, and hit with non-stop visual assaults from January to February every year, “Join Mega Gym now and lose ten pounds,” “When you join Slim for Me* Weight Loss System, get your life back!” Wouldn’t it be great if any of those promises carried weight (pun intended)? The formula for a healthy heart is so simple and quick yet we decide not to make these efforts as part of our lasting lifestyle changes. I’ll admit it, I love tacos as much as the next person and I haven’t met a pan dulce I won’t be tempted to eat. But as we get older our body reminds us of the internal beating we’ve been giving it over the years. That’s why this month I’ve dedicated this article to the good ol’ ticker.
I want to dispel some myths regarding heart healthy diets that many of us have heard over the last few decades that were part of fad diets.

Heart Healthy Fact Check 2017: 1. “A diet low in fat prevents heart disease and other types of heart complications.” Wrong, so wrong. Fats need to get a new marketing director and have a new advertising campaign out. Monosaturated fats and polysaturated fats have been proven to lower levels of bad cholesterol. In fact, some fats that we’ve been told to stay away from actually increase the good kind of cholesterol we need in our body in order to maintain health function. Look for items like salmon, eggs, avocados, extra virgin olive oil, even dark chocolate all assist in bringing on the good levels of heart healthy chemicals in our body that actually help us live longer.
2. “Low cholesterol diets are the only way to lower cholesterol.” Partially true. While yes, a diet in certain kinds of cholesterol are great for you and can lower cholesterol there’s so much more to your internal biochemistry that coincides with this statement. In fact, our weight, physical activity levels, and gender have a higher likelihood to determine your cholesterol levels at any given time. It’s a cycle – you get your weight under control with healthy levels of activity and a well rounded diet. David Canales, Ph.D. PT student, stated “You can’t out work a bad diet.” I took him to the test in November & December 2016. I ate pretty freely during the holiday months but maintained my physical activity and even ran a half marathon in December. Then I jumped on the scale, gain of 7 lbs. I tested this even further and checked my blood pressure and cholesterol (HDL) levels, both increased slightly. Had I kept up the holiday diet as a lifelong I’m sure things would be on a downward slope.
3. “You need to completely stop eating salt and sodium.” Partially true. I’ll give this one a 30% true rating. It is recommended that we eat less than 2300 mg of sodium a day. Sodium is underlying in many of our foods that we don’t even notice it until it gets too late. Salt, in moderation, is fantastic for the alkalization of our bodies as we do eat diets that are high in acid (fat). A study by the Harvard School of Medicine recommended sprinkling (a tiny sprinkle) of pink Himalayan sea salt (or any sea salt if you’re on a budget) into a jug of water and upping your water intake daily. On a general note, we aren’t hydrated enough and this does make a difference in WKH ćXLGLW\ DQG PHFKDQLFV RYHUDOO RI RXU ERG\ DQG LWV RUJDQV
Heart healthy lifestyles are easy to transition to – activity (even simple walking) for at least 15-30 minutes a day, well rounded diet with lots of leafy greens, and plenty of water is a great way to keep your heart going for as long as possible. Healthy Kid’s Teeth with the 2-2-2 Rule Help keep your child’s teeth healthy by using the 2-2-2 rule: visit your dentist TWO times a year, and brush and floss TWO times a day for TWO whole minutes!
How Do You Get Kids to Brush Their Teeth? Our pediatric dentists recommend parents follow the Tell, Show, Do model:

In age-appropriate language, explain how to brush and floss and how those actions keep teeth clean and healthy.
SHOW: Let children watch when mom or dad brush and floss their own teeth. DO:
Help children brush and floss their teeth in the morning and before bed, and keep a regular routine so they know it’s expected. Continue helping to brush a child’s teeth until they’re age 4 or 5. After that, let them do it themselves, but supervise them until age 7 or 8. Children and adults should brush for two minutes, twice a day.

1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly oil a cookie sheet and set aside.

You actually don’t need shaving cream at all if you use specific facial razors that have one blade and are curved such as the Tinkle Eyebrow Razor I purchased on Amazon for $4.34. Shaving your face is a great exfoliant for your skin. It allows products to absorb into your skin better, gives you a radiant

glow and the best part (drum roll please) it gives you a smoother facial canvas when applying your makeup so that it looks even more beautiful! When shaving your face, slightly pull your skin away from where you are shaving and use short downward strokes holding the razor at a 45-degree angle. Although you do not need to wet your face or use a moisturizer prior to shaving you might want to consider it if you have very dry skin. You most definitely want to use a moisturizer afterwards so that your skin does not get too dry; I use RICE Ceramide moisture emulsion, also purchased on Amazon. I was amazed at how much peach fuzz I had especially around the outer parts of my cheek! I absolutely love how smooth my skin feels afterwards and how much nicer my makeup application is. Hope you enjoy this as much as I do. *Shaving your face may not be suitable for people who have very sensitive skin or active acne.

This season’s Rodeo Road Trip is eight games, including a nine-day break for the 2017 All-Star game.
After the Rodeo Trip comes to an end, the Spurs will spend plenty of time at the AT&T Center. Sixteen of WKHLU ĆQDO JDPHV DUH DW KRPH LQFOXGLQJ KRPH games in March. The Spurs return home on March 1 against Indiana. The Spurs will have busy weekends at the AT&T Center. 1LQH RI WKHLU KRPH JDPHV are on Saturday, more than any other day of the week. Wednesday is the secondbusiest day at AT&T Center, with eight home games. LeBron James and the defending champion Cleveland Cavaliers don’t come to the AT&T Center until March 27.
INGREDIENTS 3 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breast 1- 12 oz bottle Frank’s Buffalo Sauce (make sure you DON’T get “Hot Buffalo�. It’s far too hot for the amount of sauce we’re using.)
1 package Hidden Valley Dry Ranch Mix ½ stick of butter
DIRECTIONS
1 Put the chicken and the buffalo sauce in the crock pot and cook on low for 8 hours.
2 Remove the chicken from the crock pot and shred it, using two forks.
3 Add the shredded chicken back to the crock pot, add the ranch mix and the butter, and stir until the butter is melted and ingredients are well-mixed.
The Spurs host Golden State twice in March, on the 11th and the 29th. The second March match up comes two nights after Cleveland comes to town.
