When we devised the plan in 2014 to make a bingo magazine, we knew exactly what we wanted to see that wasnâ€™t in other publications - you! She enjoys spending time with her family, DIY projects, being outside and baking. From balancing work, kids and life she will guide us on the modern journey of parenthood (best she knows how). Last year it happened - I got on a roll winning bingos the night before Christmas while playing evening bingo when I realized I forgot to get my beloved sister a present. How could I forget about her? She sat next to me nearly every night for the last six years playing as eagerly as I did. How? How could I forget her present? That’s when I became so thankful for the bingo elves - gift certificates and daubers! What more could a bingo player want or need in their lives? I waited for the right time to call over an usher in order to distract my sister with her dizzying amounts of pull tabs and optionals. I snuck over to the window and quickly purchased my findings. I hope you take my story with your own caution and remember that these are available as a wonderful present I’m sure anyone would love. You can even introduce your family and friends who may be in the dark about bingo.

Before you make the lengthy commitment to joining a gym with the most ridiculous fine print imaginable to man, did you know that you can make your own home gym in under $100, less than a few months membership at the gym.

Yoga/Ab Mat If you’re getting connected with yourself through yoga/meditation or you are wanting something soft, a yoga/ab mat is right what you need to start off your fit lifestyle. Amazon has some fantastic options beginning at $12.99 and you can go all the way up to $56 for some extreme yoga mats (because yoga is very extreme). Mats come in handy when you don’t want to sweat on your flooring, sweat does create a stench after a while. It also allows for some stability when you don’t want to get rug burn after doing low planks on your elbows.

BREAKFAST CASSEROLE INGREDIENTS 1 dozen eggs 1 cup milk 1 package (32 oz.) frozen hash brown potatoes 1 lb of sausage, browned and drained or 1lb of bacon, cooked and crumbled (or use both) 2 cups cheddar cheese or colby jack - shredded

¼ teaspoon dry mustard (optional) ½ teaspoon salt ½ teaspoon black pepper ½ cup green onions - diced (optional) 1 green pepper - diced (optional)

DIRECTIONS 1. Spray your crockpot with no stick cooking spray or use a slow cooker liner and spray it. 2. Layer frozen potatoes, bacon or sausage, onions (if using), green pepper (if using) and 1 cup shredded cheese in the crock pot in two or three layers. 3. Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup shredded cheese over the top evenly. 4. Beat the eggs, milk, dry mustard, salt and pepper together. 5. Pour the egg mixture over the cheese evenly in the crockpot. 6. Cook on low for 7 to 8 hours or until eggs are set and thoroughly cooked, start this at midnight and wake up to a delicious breakfast!

treats Christmas Funfetti Cookies Peppermint Hot Chocolate Muddy Buddies Ingredients: 9 C Rice Chex 2 C milk chocolate chips 1/4 C butter or margarine 1/4 C hot chocolate mix 1 1/2 C powdered sugar Crushed candy canes Holiday M&Ms Instructions: Melt your chocolate chips and butter stirring frequently until it is totally melted. Pour over Rice Chex and stir until evenly coated. Mix your hot chocolate mix and powdered sugar together and sprinkle on the Rice Chex and stir until completely coated. Crush your candy canes and sprinkle them on (to taste).

Christmas Cookie Cans Supplies Needed: Pringles Can Scrapbook Paper Glue or double sided tape (hot glue if you are using thick card stock) Ribbon and embellishments Cookies Instructions: Start by emptying your Pringles can. (And eat the chips.) Wipe it out. Cut your paper to fit how you want it (whether you want to papers or one or whatever you want.) Wrap it around your Pringles can and tape or glue it in place. Ingredients 1 box of white cake mix 1/3 cup oil 2 eggs 2 tbs sprinkles 1 cup mini m&ms Instructions Preheat oven at 350º f. Instead of following the instruction on the cake mix box combine the dry cake mix powder, 1/3 cup oil and 2 eggs together. Stir with a spoon until it’s thoroughly moist. Add the sprinkles to the cake batter and mix together. Shape dough into 1ɇ balls. Place them about 2ɇ apart on ungreased cookie sheet. With the bottom of a glass dipped in flour, flatten to approximately 1/4ɇ thick. Gently press a bunch of mini m&ms on top of each cookie. Bake them at 350º f for 7 to 8 minutes. Twas the hour before bingo ‘Twas the hour before bingo, when all through the hall not a number had been called, none at all. The daubers were ready all lined in a row, in great hope of winning a big bunch of dough.

The blower comes on making balls dance about they’re calling my numbers, there is no doubt. Just one away and what do I see? My number on the monitor, it couldn’t be!

The players were nestled all snug in their chairs, while studying their cards, every one of the squares. The cashiers and floor workers were selling around, when what do we hear but a caller’s sound.

BINGO I yell, so clear and loud, it brings out a moan from the rest of the crowd. I knew in a moment that this was my game, I’ll be back every day for more of the same!

Give Your Medicine Cabinet a Check Up

It’s that time of the year again, when you begin to look at your calendar for your check ups and routine appointments for yourself and loved ones. There’s a location in your house that needs a major tune up though – your medicine cabinet. Many of us, regardless of age, neglect the medicine cabinet and use it as a place it and forget it location but this area can be a breeding ground for major issues to come if you accidentally take a medicine that you should have replaced or do not need all together. There could be no more evident of a ticking time bomb. Prescription medications have expiration dates on their original containers but did you know that the pharmacist is required only to put a “discard by” date on the bottle? This date is generally a year from when the prescription date is filled, so your medication may actually be ok. Ask your pharmacist if the medication can be used safely beyond the “discard by” date. If the expiration date has passed though, it’s time to toss it.

You do need to figure out how to dispose of expired medications – contact the Drug Enforcement Administration website (dea.gov) or call them at 800-882- to find a used-medication collector. Don’t ever flush mediations down the toilet, these contaminate the local water supply.

- Scratch out all identifying information on the prescription label to make it unreadable. This will help protect your identity and the privacy of your personal health information. - Do not give your medicine to friends. Doctors prescribe medicines based on your specific symptoms and medical history. Something that works for you could be dangerous for someone else. - When in doubt about proper disposal, ask your pharmacist.

Diabetic Mexican Chocolate Cutouts The blended flavors of cocoa, cinnamon, and cayenne pepper give these Christmas cutout cookies an exotic twist that will delight and surprise. Ingredients 1/4 cup butter, softened 1/4 cup 60% to 70% tub-style vegetable oil spread 1/2 cup sugar or sugar substitute blend 1 teaspoon baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/8-1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper or ground chipotle chile pepper 1/4 cup refrigerated or frozen egg product, thawed, or 1 egg 1 teaspoon vanilla 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder 2 cups all-purpose flour (or 1-3/4 cups if using sugar substitute blend)**

Directions 1.

In a large bowl, combine butter and vegetable oil spread; beat with an electric mixer on medium speed until combined. Add sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and cayenne pepper; beat until combined, scraping side of bowl occasionally. Add egg and vanilla; beat until combined. Beat in cocoa powder. Beat in as much of the flour as you can with the mixer. Using a wooden spoon, stir in any remaining flour. Divide dough in half. Cover and chill for 1 to 2 hours or until easy to handle. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. On a lightly floured surface, roll dough, half at a time, to just under 1/4-inch thickness. Using 1- to 2-1/2-inch star-shape or desired shape cookie cutters, cut into shapes. Re-roll scraps as necessary. Place cutouts 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheets lined with parchment paper. Bake for 5 to 6 minutes or until edges are firm and centers are set. Transfer to wire racks; cool completely. Decorate tops with Vanilla and/or Chocolate Icing as desired.

ACTIVATED CHARCOAL POWDER I have been seeing quite a lot of discussion on Facebook regarding Activated Charcoal Powder and its many uses. It is said to relieve toxins from your digestive system, whiten your teeth, relieve swelling and pain from burns and bug bites, creates a face mask for healthy glowing skin and the list continues. So let’s try the fun ones, whiter teeth and glowing skin. The powder itself is extremely messy, so be prepared and have a lot of paper towels or just a towel around the area where you open and apply the product. Use 1 tsp of the powder and a small amount of water or rose water only enough so when you mix the water and powder it creates a thick consistency. Apply mask over entire face avoiding the eyes, once dried about 10-15 minutes later wash off mask with warm water. You might need to use a small amount of facial cleanser or just take a shower after the application so that you can get all of the product off your face. Since the powder is so fine, people with larger pores may need to use a toothbrush or something with soft bristles to remove the charcoal from certain areas around the face by gently scrubbing the area in a circular motion.

To whiten your teeth, shake some of the powder onto a paper towel, wet your toothbrush with water and coat the brush with the powder. Begin brushing your teeth like normal and leave powder in mouth for five minutes. The powder does not have any taste, it might leave your mouth feeling a little dry though. After five minutes, rinse your toothbrush and brush again with just water until all of the charcoal is gone. I noticed an immediate visible change in the color of my teeth, at least 2 shades whiter in 10 minutes! It is recommended to do this process 2-3x a week to maintain your desired color.
