SPRING LAKE TOYS FOUNDATION LAUNCHES IN BERGEN COUNTY Fundraising Luncheon on October 27th at Indian Trail Club to Raise Money for Children with Serious Illnesses Spring Lake Toys Foundation (SLTF) will mark its official launch in Bergen County with a fundraising luncheon on October 27, 2016, at the Indian Trail Club in Franklin Lakes, NJ. The Mahwah based non-profit and 501c3 organization is dedicated to supporting the needs of children with serious illnesses and their families. SLTF is a rarity among nonprofit organizations. Paulette Pera Laurenzi, SLTF’s Founder and President, chose to establish a foundation that supports families with a range of challenges and needs, rather than directing its efforts to one or two specific causes. “There are so many children with incredible medical challenges, it was impossible to just pick one or two to work with,” said Laurenzi. “This way, we will truly be supporting the children and families needing the most help.” The organization’s mission is to grant gifts of new toys to children with cancer and other illnesses, as well as provide financial assistance to families struggling to cope with their child’s medical expenses. The October 27 fundraiser will bring together individuals from across New Jersey to celebrate the power of community. It will include a silent auction, tricky tray and many surprises. All proceeds from the luncheon will go to support the needs of children with severe medical needs. To date, more than ten companies have signed on to be sponsors of the luncheon with Inserra Supermarkets, Inc. as the Key Sponsor. Headquartered in Mahwah, NJ, Inserra operates twenty-two Shop Rites in the region. Additional sponsors include: The Apple Tree CDC, GUND, Haitz Electric Co., Inc., Haywire Group, The Keizer Family, NBL Designs, Pure Skin Salon and Spa, Reebel Brain Fitness and Rita P. Cheng. “We believe generous gifts of toys, games, crafts and plush items lift the spirits of children who suffer from life-limiting and life threatening diseases. We also believe no family should have to choose between life-saving treatment and paying household bills,” said Laurenzi, a former commercial banking executive and an active member of the Board of Trustees for Valley Home Care and the Board of Managers for Cancer Care. ackie Granchamps, founder and maker of Cecile Bath and Body, wasn’t always a business owner. In fact, her journey began in good old corporate America. After working and living that lifestyle, Jackie began to realize that moving up the corporate ODGGHU ZDV QR ORQJHU IXOƓOOLQJ Growing up in a family with deep Caribbean roots, where nature is embraced, Jackie strived to reeducate women on how to take care of themselves in a natural and safe way. “We’re living in a society where we eat and use things we can barely pronounce,“ she says. “I wanted to change that.” Jackie’s goal was to create unique handmade soaps, made from whole, natural ingredients. She now has an extensive collection of everything from soaps to lip balms to diaper cream. Five years have passed since Jackie decided to become an entrepreneur. “ It’s been

such a life changing journey,” she adds. “ I learn new things from clients everyday. In upcoming months, Jackie will be hosting pop up shops, where customers can enjoy a variety local of businesses, thus providing more possible opportunities for other entrepreneurs. More trade shows are also in the works for 2017. We had such an amazing time interviewing Randi Levin-Transitional Life Strategist because, lets face it‌who we are in our 20s is not who we are in our 30s, 40s and 50s. “We make all these decisions in our 20s and, as we get older, we realize that those decisions don’t necessarily make us happy in our 30s or 40s,â€? says Randi. “As we get older, we are not the same person.â€? ,Q RXU LQWHUYLHZ ZH FRQĆ“UPHG RXU suspicions! STEP 1. Listen to your life. Sometimes we just need to slow down enough to ask the questions and listen to ourselves. STEP 2. Figure out where you are by asking yourself these questions: What would you do if it were 10 years ago? What is your intuition telling you? What happened at work that is bothering you? What is going on in your family? Is this the right time for something? What do you want your story to be? What do you want your legacy to be? As Randi says, we all have a personal GPS and there is more than one route to getting to the places we want to go to. In Randi’s coaching practice, she has a special acronym that helps her clients program their life for success: GPS. G-Growth-Make sure you have a way to measure every step of the process.
