acrosse is an awesome combination of soccerstyle continuous play, basketball strategy and hockey-style stick skills.

It is the oldest organized sport in North America, with its origins in a tribal game played by the indigenous peoples of the Eastern Woodlands and by various other indigenous peoples of North America. It is now the fastest growing sport in the U.S., with men’s and women’s version of the game played at the high school, college, and international levels.

Boerne Lacrosse was established in 2010 to bring this exciting sport to the greater Boerne area. Starting with one boys’ team, the program has now grown to include boys’ teams from 1st through 12th grade. In 2019 we added a girls’ program and now offer girls’ teams from 5th through 8th grade. As lacrosse continues to expand throughout Texas, Boerne Lacrosse is provid-

ing a highly competitive developmental program to the western suburbs of San Antonio.

Boerne Lacrosse is a member of the South Texas Youth Lacrosse Association and the Texas High School Lacrosse League. We participate in a spring season against other lacrosse clubs within the greater San Antonio area. Spring season practices usually being in late January with games starting in early March and culminating in late April. In addition to the local schedule the High School team continues to seek competition from teams from outside of San

Antonio and may travel to Austin or Houston to play games.

Boys

Boerne Boys Lacrosse is open to all boys in the Boerne Independent School District as well as neighboring communities of Fair Oaks and Leon Springs. Practices are routinely held at the Boerne Middle School South during the spring season. All home lacrosse games are played at fields in Boerne and away games are played throughout San Antonio. We are currently fielding teams at the following levels:

Elementary School Program: 1st/2nd Grade & 3rd/4th Grade Middle School Program: 5th/6th Grade & 7th/8th Grade High School: JV & Varsity

Girls

Boerne Girls Lacrosse is aimed at teaching girls the fundamentals of the sport and fielding a competitive team as the girls gain the skills and

numbers necessary to compete in the San Antonio and Austin areas. Practices will be held at the Boerne Middle School South during the spring season and games will be played in both the greater San Antonio and Austin areas depending upon the growth of the program. We are currently fielding
