Everyone Envies A Diamond!! Excellence starts here! Welcome to the 2016-2017 allstar competitive cheerleading season. Modern American Cheer was established in 2014 and is entering their 3rd competitive season. MAC is driven by team culture and built on the five virtues of sports which are diligence, discipline, sacrifice, focus, and courage. Modern American Cheer started off with just 10 tumblers which later developed into two teams and a total of 34 cheerleaders. Over the past two years our program has accumulated 12 national titles and 3 national titles to The One Championship held in New Orleans. Today MAC houses 130 cheerleaders of all levels, 65 outside tumblers, and 9 coaches. Our goal this year is to train like no other and cherish the journey and opportunities along the way. The teams will
be gunning to bring home the NCA title for our respective divisions. Modern American Cheer has been working on their choreographed routines which are the most difficult routines we have been faced with thus far. We decided to GO BIG or GO HOME!! We have 2 minutes and 30 seconds to perform flawlessly. All-Star cheerleaders spend all year trying to perfect a fast-
paced routine and only get one chance to prove they are the best. One simple mistake could be costly. That is what makes this sport so unique and why cheerleading sets itself apart from the multitude of competitive sports. The athletes love the theatrical performance under the lights, music booming at concert levels, and wearing those epic looking uniforms.
Often Imitated, Never Duplicated!!
Being together as a team and performing next to their best friends is the most popular answer you will hear in the gym. TEAMMAC was established last year for this very reason. We wanted to establish the strongest team culture in order to give them the best opportunity to succeed. Only the best teams in the sport understand what it takes to become one and have the no one left behind motto. We will always continue to strive for team excellence.
Team Work Makes The Dream Work
Over the next few years we would like to progress the athletes and compete at higher levels. Possibly producing the first competitive Worlds team to come out of Corpus Christi. This process will take time and patience from all members of TEAMMAC. On a side note... Modern American Cheer will be expanding their gym adding more floor space and will be able to offer a variety of tumbling and cheer classes. Are you excited yet? Well you better be because you
are about to witness a great show. These athletes have put in several hours of training to perform their choreographed routine in preparation for their first competition of the season. For more information about our program please visit www.modernamericancheer.com or come by the gym to take a tour and meet our team. Remember........

Athletics and Life...... People with an entitlement mindset tend to give the minimum, look for shortcuts, expect favors and put themselves first. They destoy team cultures. Success requires doing what is best, not what is easiest. That path takes longer and requires more discipline, selflessness, perseverance and energy but that is where the CHAMPIONS reside. Both are choices!! Choose to compete!! -Proactive Coaching
