Roommate Accused Of Stealing $10 Million Lottery Ticket California - Adul Saosongyang, a 35 year old Vacaville resident was arrested for stealing a Lottery ticket worth $10 Million dollars from his roommate. The news was posted by Vacaville Police Department on their Facebook page.

Back in December, a Vacaville shopper went to the Lucky Grocery Store on Peabody Rd to purchase a $30 Scratcher Lottery Ticket with hopes of winning a little extra cash for the holidays.

The ticket turned out to be a winner - and he thought it was worth $10,000. He returned home and shared this wonderful news with his 2 roommates.

The next morning, he went to the Lottery’s District Office in Sacramento to collect his winnings, but was told his ticket was not only not a winner, but had been altered. He suspected one of his roommates must have stolen his ticked and reported it to the police.

The next day his suspicions were proven true when his 35-year-old roommate Adul tried to cash in the winning ticket at the Lottery’s Sacramento Office. Adul was told his winning ticket was not worth $10,000 dollars, but was actually worth $10 million dollars!

At this point, the Lottery was unaware this ticket had been reported stolen and began their investigation to obtain video surveillance footage of the original purchase, they were told the ticket might be stolen. This is when the Lottery Investigator and a Vacaville PD Detective began comparing notes and working together. They determined the roommate had purchased a similar Scratcher Lottery Ticket, altered it, and swapped it with the winning ticket.

In January, the Lottery Investigator invited Adul to the Lottery’s Office to collect his winnings, but instead of him celebrating his big win, he was arrested by Vacaville PD Detectives for Grand Theft.

Every time you come to the hall to play and swipe your VIP card, you get 1 point. Once you collect 20 points, the computer will automatically print your $1-computer coupon. Our halls occasionally run specials where a swipe may give you as much as 5-8 points at a time, making it very easy to get the coupons!

Our system also awards players that come to play on their birthday! As soon as you swipe, a special birthday coupon for a $1-computer will print out. You may visit as many halls as you want on your birthday to play, meaning you could get up to 5 coupons that day, depending on hall times and availability.

For example, if you start the night by celebrating in a late night hall, a swipe AFTER midnight when it’s your actual birthday will award you a coupon. Gaming News

Massachusetts Sports Betting Legalization On the Horizon With New Bills

Massachusetts - January was a big month for introducing new sports betting bills in the Northeast U.S. Massachusetts filed three bills in the Senate related to the legalization of sports betting.

The three bills are titled, “An Act creating a Special Commission on Sports Gaming,” “An Act to regulate sports wagering,” and “An Act Relative To Sports Wagering.”

The bills cover both in-person wagering (casinos and other establishments with gaming licenses) as well as an “Interactive sports wagering platform,” which would include the creation of mobile apps and websites as well as other forms of online sports wagering. All three bills are yet to be assigned to a Senate committee to be examined further.

Legal sports betting in the state could generate annual gross gaming revenue (GGR) of $408.6m according to figures published by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission early last year.

The White Paper on Sports Betting said this was a figure based on both retail and online betting being allowed.

Maximize Your Calendar

If you’re anything like me you’re being pulled in a million different ways and you’ve taken the term “hot mess” as a term of endearment as you run across town with your five bags, not including your bags for your bags. You can definitely feel like your schedule is running you, not you running your schedule. In 2019, I took the goal to really take control over my time and see exactly where I spend my efforts of work and playtime (like yourself right now at the bingo). So, if you’re like me and tired of rushing everywhere, and want to make time management a goal - let’s go through these easy steps.

Step #1 Know your goals This can go really for anything in life. Why do you want to lose weight? What do you want to accomplish this week/month? Why do you want to get smarter with your money? The list is endless. Only engage in activities that support both your short-term and long-term goals. Meaning, if you guard your time and schedule and hold that as your true to word, don’t let other things compromise your sacred time. For example, if you’re trying to spend more time with your family, but you find yourself scrolling social media or at various events that are taking away time from the family - your time isn’t being run as efficiently as it can be.

In business, you should only be doing activities or tasks that will either generate income or grow your business. So, while attending networking events can be fun but if you’re not adding future clients, collecting leads, interacting with other businesses or discovering brand new vendors and actually communicating with them, you’re going to not meet your business goals.

Step #2 Become a List Master This may be for a future article but there is so much to be said about keeping your daily schedule on paper and on your smart device. Stick to your daily routine. Even schedule in your sleep. Keep a to-do list and make sure that you mark off the 3-4 most important and urgent tasks that need to be accomplished that day. If you have a job or lifestyle that requires you to contact individuals, keep a list of who you need to contact every single day. Lastly, keep a list of notes and reminders of what you need to discuss with your coworkers or even family members. Things can fall through the cracks but if you keep your list tidy, you’ll be able to make sure not as much can fall through the cracks.

Step #3 “Eat that frog” This term comes from author and business coach Brian Tracy. Mark Twain said that if the first thing you do each morning is to eat a live frog, then you will have the satisfaction throughout the day that you did what is probably the worse things that is going to happen to you all day long. So, what is your frog? It will be the one that you’ve been putting off. Get in the habit of completing your major task in the morning and you will save your energy and focus for the smaller tasks at hand. When you start and complete this task, you will be releasing endorphins that will help you form a “positive addiction.”

Step #4 Learn the best two letter word “no” Look, we all know that we get shuffled around to events that quite frankly don’t “spark joy” and we’d rather be doing something else. Your work will suffer and you will get burned out.

There is so much power in the word no. If you feel like people will get upset with you saying no, it’s ok. Think of it like you’re creating the best coworkers you will have around you. You will only take on things that you absolutely know you will have time for. You will be able to show up to places knowing that you are fully present wherever you are.

Teaching your children the importance of saving money

Saving money is a habit that takes time to build, even some adults have yet to master this skill. Consider this, just 41% of Americans have savings set aside to cover emergency expenses. I personally want to teach my children how to save money and be financially responsible. The way our children learn these habits is from watching and learning from their surroundings. Although many schools attempt to teach basic financial literacy to students, the responsibility falls to the parents to apply those lessons in real life. Learning how to count change in the classroom is very different from getting a real allowance, opening a savings account, and creating a budget to help your kids buy the things they want.

Here are a few FUN ways to teach younger children about savings: Pretend to spend - When your kids are in elementary school, set up a fake store or restaurant at home. Give them a certain amount of fake money and create scenarios, like buy five items with your money or buy three meals for less than $20. By learning how transactions work in a safe environment, they’ll understand them better in the real world.

Play Monopoly - Board games can be a great way to introduce financial concepts and teach children how to balance spending and saving in a fun and interactive way. By seeing how much cash they have, kids will learn how to visualize money. You can also use fake money to explain the family budget.

Make It a Game - Kids are often drawn to competition, so make saving money a game. Challenge them to save a designated amount each month. If they 16

do it, they win a bonus from you. If they don’t, they don’t get anything extra.

You can also add other incentives, like going to a movie or buying a new pair of shoes — whatever makes your kid motivated to win.

Let Them Help At Yard Sales - Yard sales are a great place for children to see what it’s like to sell something.

They can help before the event with pricing the goods and deciding what they want to sell. Allow them to help negotiate and collect money, and this will teach them how to make change quickly, market their goods, and feel confident in their abilities.

Let Them Make Their Own Purchases - Giving kids an allowance can help them learn how good it feels to buy something they really want. For example, if you’re going on a family vacation or big trip, let them know they’ll be responsible for their own souvenirs. It will cut down on them asking you to buy something, and it will teach them the value of buying

things for themselves. Plus, it’ll make those decisions feel more real if they are making purchases using their own money.

Save, Spend, Give Envelopes - Put money into the giving envelope first in order to teach them how important it is to give. Saving comes next, then spending. Teaching your child the envelope system lays the foundation for budgeting. They will learn about living on less than they make, giving, spending wisely, and having patience while they save toward a big goal.

When heart health and technology join forces it can only be good things for you. Last month at the annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, they partnered with the American Heart Association to offer doctors for the first time ever continuing education hours when attending conference meetings that were paired with the show that explored topics ranging from artificial intelligence to digital therapeutics and predictive analytics.

One of the new tools coming out are home monitors like the one from BPM Core, a multitasker that collects data like blood pressure and heart rate, but expands to take an electrocardiogram with the integrated digital stethoscope and aims to detect heart-valve irregularities that may indicate something like an arrhythmia.

Health and wellness industry leader Withings is awaiting the FDA to clear this fun device that is the size of a coffee grinder, and it syncs with your smart phone and pushes the data to “Health Mate.” You can pair it with your Withings made smart scale and smart watch that will send health data directly to your Health Mate app for your next routine visit to your physician.

My husband had the breakfast carne guisada plate and it was very good! The meat was very tender and the portions are huge!

The tortillas we’re large in size and very hot. I recommend this place if you are ever in corpus and want good home cooked food. The menu has a large selection and they sell lunch as well.
