It’s a young estate, having just opened in 2014, but they are producing approximately eight varieties of wines, both reds and whites including an Orange Muscat that is unlike your typical sweet dessert white. Paying a visit to their tasting room is a real treat. You can grab a glass and sit on the patio which has breathtaking views overlooking a valley and one of their vineyards.

Pedernales Falls is a great day trip with picnic tables, bird watching, swimming, geocaching, and hiking trails to enjoy the beauty of the park. One can get lost in quiet and relax, minXWHV DZD\ IURP FLYLOL]DWLRQ Camping is a fun treat with 69 camping sites with electricity and water, near restrooms and for the more adventurous, thereâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s primitive camping with a two-mile hike to the campsites with chemical toilets. +LNLQJ LV DOVR IXQ DV WKHUH LV D KDOI PLOH 7ZLQ )DOOV 1DWXUH 7UDLO DQG WKH VL[ PLOH :ROI 0RXQWDLQ 7UDLO ZLWK QDWXUH VWRSV DORQJ WKH ZD\ Mountain biking and horseback riding have rocky trails, but not for beginners as the terrain has steep slopes. Hamilton Pool NATURE PRESERVE

Hamilton Pool is mere minutes from Dripping Springs proper. Locals know this place well as a nature preserve with a small cave and a waterfall, just waiting to be explored and enjoyed.

Picnicking and hiking are just a few of the pleasures that the park has to offer over 232 acres. Although the pool was temporarily closed due to the torrential rains of late spring, the limestone cliffs, the cave and the beauty that surrounds it are worth the price of admission.

Since it is a nature preserve, there are no pets allowed DORQJ ZLWK QR Ä UHV Ä VKLQJ ELNLQJ RU FDPSLQJ &RPposting toilets and picnicking tables are available by the parking lot. But those restrictions are very much needed in this unspoiled preserve, looking like it did centuries DJR 7KH ZDWHUIDOOV DQG WKH FRQÄ&#x201A;XHQFH ZLWK WKH 3HGHUnales River is a must see and a place where one can lose themselves surrounded by the lush vegetation and tree YDULHWLHV WKHUH 7KHUH DUH HYHQ JXLGHG WRXUV RQ 6XQGD\ DW 10 a.m. or by advance reservations at 512-264-274. Itâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s the cityâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s only museum and a must see when visiting 'ULSSLQJ 6SULQJV 7KH )DUPVWHDG GDWHV EDFN WR DQG LV D national and state historic landmark. Named after Dr. Pound and his wife who are considered one of the founding families of Dripping Springs, the little house was originally built as two ORJ FDELQV ZLWK D EUHH]HZD\ LQ WKH FHQWHU ,W KDV EHHQ FDUHIXOO\ restored. â&#x20AC;&#x153;Iâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;d say about 90% of the artifacts and the furnishings in the KRPH DUH GLUHFWO\ DUWLIDFWV WKDW FDPH IURP WKH 3RXQG IDPLO\ Ă?

From rodeos and livestock shows, to meetings and seminars, to dog shows, gun shows, and arts and crafts shows, to weddings and receptions, to fairs, festivals, and carnivals, there is always something going on in the Park, Event Center, or Ranch House.

Music is also a big part of the festivities. Local bands and artists perform all day, including kid bands and choral groups singing traditional Christmas carols. IRU WKH KROLGD\V VWDWHV :\FRII $W GXVN WKH IHVWLYLWLHV PRYH WR WKH 7ULDQJOH ZKHUH WKH Lions Club Christmas tree is lit, where thereâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s caroling, performances and hot chocolate being served.

Texas Night Sky Festival A CELEBRATION OF THE AWE-INSPIRING NIGHT SKIES A star-studded celebration is on its way to 'ULSSLQJ 6SULQJV 7KH Ä UVW HYHU 7H[DV 1LJKW Sky Festival will be held Saturday, March 5 from 3 to 10 pm at the Dripping Springs Ranch Park and Event Center.

7KLV IUHH FHOHEUDWLRQ RI WKH 7H[DV QLJKW VN\ has been designed especially for students, individuals, and families who are interested in learning more about the night sky and the movement to limit excessive light pollution, which obscures night sky viewing.

With something for everyone, the festival will kick off at 3 pm with activities planned for all ages, including live presentations, education, science and arts displays, solar observations, a mobile planetarium, demonstrations of glare-reducing lighting, tasty food, and a good, old-fashioned Star Party.

Hosted by the International Dark-Sky $VVRFLDWLRQ 7H[DV 6HFWLRQ ,'$ 7H[DV +D\V &RXQW\ &KDSWHU 7H[DV 0DVWHU 1DWXUDOLVWV and the City of Dripping Springs, the intent of the festival is to increase appreciation of the night sky and promote protection and enjoyment of the Earthâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s most beautiful and natural resource.
