The 2015 SMHS Football Booster Club Board members would like to thank you for all your support and welcome you to the 2015 season.

The 2015 season starts our second season in San Marcos Toyota Rattler Stadium! Thank you Rattler Backers! I would like to personally thank Rudy and Becky Espinoza for allowing us to use their facilities for all of our fundraisers.

This year the Football Booster Club will have the opportunity to manage the concession stands at Rattler Stadium. We are truly blessed to have Rudy Espinoza to be our Concession Stand Manager. Coach Yock is returning for his eighth year in the district and Ă&#x201E;M[O `LHY HZ YLJLP]LYZ JVHJO /L PZ H WYV\K NYHK\H[L VÉ&#x2C6; :HU 4HYJVZ /PNO :JOVVS HUK [OL <UP]LYsity of Texas-Austin. Yock also serves as an assistant coach for the Rattlers boys basketball team.

Coach Cortez is in his fourth year with the Rattlers. He works the defensive line and assists special teams. In the 2015 season great things are happening with the Rattlers and Coach *VY[La OPZ ^PML 4HYJLSH HUK baby Mia are thrilled to be a part of Rattler Nation.

Rene Medina Football/Soccer World Geography Teacher The 2015-16 school year with be Coach Medinaâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s ninth in [OL [LHJOPUN WYVMLZZPVU PU :HU Marcos CISD. This year will be his sixth at the high school.

He spent three years at Miller Middle School. Coach Medina NYHK\H[LK MYVT ;L_HZ :[H[L <UPversity in December 2006. He is H NYHK\H[L VM 3\SPUN /PNO :JOVVS and the son of Martin and Mary -YHUJLZ 4LKPUH IYV[OLY VM 1HZVU *HZ[PSSV HUK 9VQLSPV 4LKPUH Coach Medina holds a Class ¸+š *VHJOPUN 3PJLUZL MYVT [OL <::- H OPNO ZJOVVS JVHJOing diploma from the NSCAA and a level 2 GK Diploma from NSCAA.

Steven Davis Freshman Football Geometry Teacher This is Coach Davisâ&#x20AC;&#x2122; second `LHY ^P[O [OL 9H[[SLYZ ZP_[O overall. He has had stops at Hallettsville and Dripping Springs /: HZ H MVV[IHSS IHZRL[IHSS HUK track coach. SMHS Rattler Coaching Staff TP Miller Cornerbacks Business/Accounting Coach Miller is entering his fourth season of coaching at San Marcos High School. He JVHJOLZ ]HYZP[` JVYULYIHJRZ 1= ZLJVUKHY` HUK [OL MYLZOTHU basketball team. Coach Miller attended Texas State where he played defensive back and received his Bachelorâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s degree with a concentration in Exercise Sports Science. He was born and raised in San Marcos and is proud to be a Rattler Alum.

He is currently engaged to the love of his life and will be getting married in the spring.

Quintin Green Outside linebackers/Freshman secondary Assistant Track Environmental systems/Chemistry teacher Coach Green is in his second year with the Rattlers. He coaches the varsity outside linebackers and freshmen secondary.

Green is a former Converse 1\KZVU H[OSL[L HUK NYHK\H[L He received an athletic scholarship for football to Oklahoma 7HUOHUKSL :[H[L <UP]LYZP[` HUK received his bachelors in Biology. SMHS New Activity Center 3HZ[ ZLHZVU HM[LY :HU 4HYJVZ ;V`V[H 9H[[SLY :[HKP\T VɉJPHSS` VWLULK VU 6J[VILY HSS L`LZ then turned to the Student Activity Center. ;OLU PU SH[L (WYPS :HU 4HYJVZ CISD unveiled the new facility to the public. >P[O HU PUKVVY WYHJ[PJL ÄLSK UL^ ^LPNO[ YVVT IHZRL[IHSS JV\Y[ HUK ÄST YVVT [OL :[\KLU[ (J[P]P[` Center is usable by every athletic sport at San Marcos High School.

Head coach Mark Soto’s vision for the facility was for it to be an all-around addition to the SMHS athletic department. Batting cages for baseball and softball hang on the ceiling and can be descendLK H[ HU` [PTL ^YLZ[SPUN TH[Z MVY the ever-growing wrestling team and even indoor tennis nets are all accessible to use.

Before a scheduled game against :HU (U[VUPV 2LUULK` [OL 3HK` Rattler softball team was able to practice inside the new facility during a weather delay to stay loose for the contest.

The football team were also able to cycle through indoor and outdoor practice sessions during their spring camp and continue to do so with the peak-season heat beaming down in the month of August. ;OL <UP]LYZP[` VM /V\Z[VU ^HZ HISL [V \ZL [OL UL^ WYHJ[PJL ÄLSK MVY their satellite high school camp this summer showing that the new activity center gives San Marcos the facility it deserves to compete at the top level of Texas high school athletics.
