President’s Greeting
Robert Cuellar
Welcome to the 74th Annual Fiesta Flambeau® Night Parade. After a two-year hiatus, it's with great excitement to be back! As President of the Fiesta Flambeau® Parade Association I am extremely proud to represent such a tremendous organization of dedicated, hardworking members and volunteers. Our theme, "Celebrating Literary Classics" reminds us of our favorite childhood books from Charlotte's Web to Cinderella and Treasure Island. I guarantee Saturday night Apr 9th is going to be extremely animated and illuminated.
So let's share the Fiesta spirit and continue creating illuminated memories VIVA FIESTA! Robert Cuellar Fiesta Flambeau President
With an estimated 400,000 parade spectators on our NEW parade route, its going to be an incredible night of lights, and fun.
Military Coordinator’s Greeting Viva Fiesta, Military City USA!
Lt. Gen. Brad Webb
As we celebrate the 131st birthday of Fiesta and honor the memory of the heroes of the Alamo and Battle of San Jacinto, 2022 also marks two significant milestones for Airmen. This year we celebrate the Air Force’s 75th anniversary as an independent military service and Air Education and Training Command’s 80th anniversary of recruiting, training, and educating exceptional Airmen who provide airpower for America anytime, anywhere. My wife, Dawna, and I are honored to be part of this year’s Fiesta activities and witness the renewed spirit and resiliency of “Military City USA” during these unprecedented times. Congratulations on the 74th anniversary

VIVA FIESTA and thank you for attending the Nation’s Largest Illuminated Night Parade! After a two year hiatus, Fiesta Flambeau is back! I want to congratulate the Fiesta Flambeau Parade Association for demonstrating this year’s Fiesta theme of Resilience in overcoming the challenges of the past two years. Mayor’s Welcome Welcome to Fiesta 2022!
Ron Nirenberg
I am honored to welcome you to this year’s Fiesta Flambeau, considered America’s largest illuminated parade. The parade theme this year is “Celebrating Literary Classics.” Fiesta Flambeau is a signature event for Fiesta, which was first celebrated in 1891. Fiesta was created to honor the heroes of the Alamo and the Battle of San Jacinto. The Party with a Purpose features thousands of volunteers and funds raised through these events enrich our city throughout the year, helping worthwhile causes ranging from scholarships to mentoring to programs for senior citizens. The philanthropic element of Fiesta is vitally important to our
city as it showcases our efforts to make our community and help our neighbors. San Antonio is more ready than ever for the excitement and celebration that Fiesta 2022 will bring. Fiesta is an important part of our city’s fabric and has attracted regional, national, and international attention. Just like the River Walk and the Alamo, so does Fiesta unify us all for a common purpose – that of leading with compassion while having fun. Viva Flambeau! Viva Fiesta! Viva San Antonio! Sincerely, Ron Nirenberg Mayor

As one of the world's foremost living sculptors, his work has exhibited in Mexico, Germany, Belgium, Brazil, Columbia, Spain, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Ireland, England, Portugal, Italy, Denmark, Canada, Finland, the United States, France, Japan, Switzerland and Venezuela. 2022 HONORARY GRAND MARSHALL CLETO RODRIGUEZ Known for his high energy, observational, and hilarious comedy with a brilliant Hispanic twist, nothing is off limits. All is fair game with humor ranging from marriage mishaps to the challenges of dieting. Born and raised in San Antonio, he has strong roots dating back to his grandfather, who was one of the first Mexican-Americans to receive the Congressional Medal of Honor in WWII. Cleto also donates his time and talents to help raise money for different non-profit organizations around the city of San Antonio. He is thrilled to serve as the Honorary Grand Marshall this year in the largest illuminated parade in the country! His newfound respect for first responders and all Covid heroes is a true testament after his personal bout with covid. He spent three weeks in the hospital surviving “the scariest moment of his life.” He became a community advocate in expressing the importance of getting vaccinated. He never realized how many people his laughter touched
only after receiving an overwhelming response of support, prayers and get well wishes from his hometown and fan base. Rodriguez is determined, more than ever, to use his talents and continue placing smiles and laughter in the hearts of everyone who attends his shows.
He is truly grateful for this opportunity to give back and help Fiesta Flambeau in honoring all our Covid heroes.

Leyhbert Sharp
A Colombian-American artist and actor, Leyhbert Millan Sharp has worked extensively as a visual artist, graphic and audiovisual designer, and film actor/director. He holds two university degrees from Colombia in Industrial Relations and Film/Television Production. Influenced by artists Joan Miró and Wassily Kandinsky, he prefers breathing life into his works at night, finding that the evening creates the perfect mood for creating dynamic visual masterpieces with a variety of elements, color and techniques. Many of Leyhbert’s artistic creations strongly reflect the influence of his deceased mother Herlinda, with whose maiden name he signs many of his paintings. One can often see themes of feminine endurance, personal empowerment and maternal beauty portrayed in his works. Several of Leyhbert’s creations have been exhibited internationally and by private organizations. His original painting Freedom garnered Leyhbert a prestigious award in Colombia, and one film project was featured at a national film festival in Havana, Cuba. Leyhbert was honored in 2017 to have been chosen from among San Antonio’s artistic community to commission the official 2017 painting for the U.S. Military Veterans Parade Association. Additionally, he portrayed a supporting character in the movie “Who am I?”, soon to be released in theaters throughout Texas. Leyhbert has also worked extensively as a leading actor in a variety of projects in both Texas and Colombia, including live theater productions, independent short films, theme parks, and private performances. In addition to his professional work, he has taught acting and related classes in both Colombia and in the United States. He has worked as a technical director for different conventions, political events, and business conferences in the United States, having permitted him the unique opportunity to establish relationships with representatives of the federal government, foreign & local leaders.
