Lady Luck was on Her Side
A mother of 4 on benefits is now living large in England after she won two huge online bingo (legal in England) within 10 days of another. Anita Campbell won her first £597,000 within a few hours of opening up a Mecca (online bingo in the United Kingdom) account and followed that stroke of luck with another £552,000 jackpot a littl4e over a week later. When interviewed after her big win she described how she was struggling to make ends meet for more than a year and she was diagnosed with diabetes. She stat4ed it still felt like a bit of a dream. The Grandmother has now moved out of her rented home and into a property that she outright purchased. She has given away her old clothing and furniture to people she felt might need it. When asked if she still plays, she laughed and said yes that she enjoyed it too much.
Weird News
Well that’s a bad game of ‘Truth or Dare’ Well that’s a bad game of ‘Truth or Dare’ This is a case where you really need to think things through before taking on a bet. Two friends were enjoying a day at the market when at some point during this trip the two began to argue. This led Subhash Yadav two bet that he could not eat 50 eggs in one sitting. Not being one to back down, he began to scarf down the eggs one by one to prove his friend wrong. By the time he got to the 42nd egg things didn’t scramble well
and he collapsed. Bystanders took the man to a nearby hospital where he died a few hours later due to overeating. Be very careful what bets you take.

New Year, BETTER YOU.
Why You Should Not Set a New Year’s Resolution & What to Do Instead The New Year is upon us, which means it’s time to make a resolution or two. So what will it be this year: lose weight, again; promise yourself a change of job, again; earn more money, perhaps? The truth is, most of us will do the same thing we always do: set some goals that will be forgotten about by the 7th January, or thereabouts. So this year I’m proposing something different. And the goal-setting gurus will hate me for it. Yes, I’ve heard it a million times before; the reason we don’t stick to our resolutions and don’t fulfill our goals is because they’re not SMART – specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and timely.
Enter the New Year with zero pressure on your back to do anything other than remain open to the possibility of your potential, receptive to change and ready to show compassion to yourself for your shortcomings. The reality is that there’s no point in setting the same resolutions you’ve been setting for years on end, only to feel disappointed and down on yourself. Remember what Albert Einstein said, “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”
And while there is a lot of truth in that, for me it’s only half the story. So this year, I’m throwing the rulebook out the window and offering you an alternative pathway. Do nothing. Don’t set any resolutions or goals. And if you must set a resolution, then make it this: Give up wanting anything to happen in the New Year. And if you have to set a goal, set a goal to set no goals “What! But it’s New Year. A time to restart the clock, to set about achieving all that’s possible and to fulfill my potential!” Rather than rushing forward in a panic to set resolutions or a list of goals you can start on New Year’s day, forget all that and enter the New Year in a mode of being absolutely present, and absolutely positive about how great it’s going to be. Stop the “I must” thought mill turning over all the things you should have done this year that you’ll “definitely do next year”.
10
THE BINGO NUGGET // JANUARY 2020
This cycle only perpetuates feelings of failure and inadequacy, which is wholly negative and certainly not conducive to achieving goals. Consider for a moment why you haven’t shifted that weight, changed that job, built that shed in the garden or watched your son play football more often. Maybe you thought so hard about doing positive things that you didn’t get around to actually putting them in motion. So this year, it’s time to make a real change. It’s time to take stock of where you are and what you want out of life, not to continue doing what others expect you to do or what you think might make you seem or feel more successful or more appealing.
7 Easy Ways to be Mindful Every Day Mindfulness has a way of sounding complicated. It’s anything but. “Mindfulness is paying attention in a particular way: on purpose, in the present moment, non-judgmentally,” according to Marsha Lucas, Ph.D, psychologist and author of Rewire Your Brain for Love.
It doesn’t matter how many goal-setting guides you follow, the moment you stop piling pressure on yourself to undertake resolutions that you aren’t wholly committed to, or don’t even really want, is the moment you give yourself a chance to breathe – to be present enough to see the wood for the trees.
There are many simple ways you can be more mindful. Here are ten tips to incorporate into your daily life.
That breathing space allows us to see who it is that has been doing all the doing, who it is who has been trying to reach all these goals and get to these moments of self-actualization that never seem to quite plug the hole of fulfillment. Of course, there’s always room for improvement in life, and yes, goal-setting can be a positive activity. But if you always feel short-changed by your efforts and rewards, then perhaps it’s time you stopped forcing yourself, stopped making empty promises to a stranger, stopped living through the expectations of others and instead made friends with yourself and the wonderful being that you are.
1. Turn daily tasks into mindful moments. 2. Pay attention to your breathing. 3. Take a walk or spend time in nature. 4. Focus on one thing at once.
Let go of the expectations of others and, for once, let your intuition take the lead in guiding you through the year.
5. Meditate for a few minutes each day.
I guarantee you will attract an abundance of positive opportunities into your life.
7. Seek out new experiences and adventures.
6. Put your phone away or turn it off.
8. Take control of your breathing. 9. Journal daily about anything. 10. Feel your feelings

MODERN MOM
by MORGAN SIGLER
If you’re anything like me, your home is not the perfect, peaceful sanctuary you had once imagined. It can be hard to keep your house tidy and clean when you’re constantly on the go, but there are ways to de-stress your home even when you’re never around. After all, your home should be the place you go to to feel relaxed with your family after a busy day at work; you shouldn’t feel more stressed the minute you get home after a long day. For some reason, during the colder months of the year, clutter seems to build up and suddenly the warmer months arrive and stuff has piled up all over the house. You’ve probably heard it before, but let me tell it to you again: the way the outside looks is often a reflection of what’s going on inside. If your place is full of clutter, your mind’s going to have a hard time staying clear. It’s so important to get rid of clutter and organize your life if you want to live positively in the present. Clutter—mental or physical—will hold you back from being a positive parent and it will make you want to escape the present (because who wants to stay in a cluttered place or mindset!). Unfortunately, decluttering isn’t always easy. If it were, we’d all have perfectly pristine homes in which nothing is ever out of place. But that’s not quite the case, is it? Even the most organized people have a bit of clutter they can do without—and clearing it will help make room for the things that are really important, as well as provide your home and mind with a nice clean state. Clutter causes stress and stress is something we definitely don’t need more of in our lives. To destress, it helps to declutter. Here are tips to help you get started:
16
THE BINGO NUGGET // JANUARY 2020
Get Rid Of What You Don’t Need
It can be really difficult to let go of the things you think you need, but take a look at the stuff around you and ask yourself, “Do I really, truly need this right now?” Don’t think about how someday, down-the-road, maybe, possibly you could use it. Think about right now. Most of us have things around us that we could get rid of right this moment and never think about again once they are out of sight. Donate or trash these things immediately. Don’t wait to see if you “might need it someday” and don’t allow yourself any excuses. If you don’t use it or absolutely love it (and by love, I mean love, adore, cherish, not “kinda like it”), chuck it.
Put Everything in it’s Place
Often we have a lot of clutter because we don’t have a place for things. Designate a home for every single thing you own, a place that makes sense to you (even if it doesn’t to anyone else!). Every single thing—from loose coins to miscellaneous memorabilia—should have a place it calls home. Can’t find a home for something? Then ask yourself why you have it. If it’s not deserving of a home, it’s not something you need. Once you find a place for everything, make sure you always return it to that place. It’ll make it so much easier to find what you need (saving time!) and so much less likely that you’ll buy something you already own (saving money!). It might take some time to find a place for everything, but the effort is well worth it.
Make Use of Decluttering Tools
Assess, then invest. As tempting as it is to run out and buy organizational supplies, don’t bring in anything new until you really know what you need. Once you put everything in a specific place and get rid of all the things you don’t need (which may take a while to do!), then you can go out and explore the world of organizing tools. For the office (and everywhere!), consider picking up a Epson Label Maker to keep track of what’s inside boxes, files, etc. You don’t have to spend a lot to stay organized: check out stores like DollarTree for good deals on bins and baskets.
Look out for Tips & Tricks
Great organizing ideas are everywhere—you just have to know where to find
them! A great place to start is Pinterest, where people are posting daily about new and innovative ways to organize everything. Another great resource is Real Simple, one of my favorite magazines. There are also some great tips on Martha Stewart’s organizing page. The more you read about organizing, the more ideas you’ll find that work specifically for you, making it much easier to create a decluttered space that works with your unique lifestyle.
Don’t Wait or Hesitate
Although the act of decluttering can seem incredibly overwhelming, don’t put it off. The longer you wait, the less likely it is that you’ll actually do it. Block off some time on your calendar as soon as you can and get to it. And once you get started, don’t hesitate. If your gut instinct says to get rid of something, do it. If, deep down, you know there’s more you could be letting go of, put that stuff in the trash or the donation bin. Clutter can be lethal to your sanity. Even though it’s just stuff, an excess of it seems to take up space in your mind, preventing you from feeling relaxed and at peace, even if everything else in your life is perfectly in place. Unfortunately, decluttering can be a difficult task—and one that so many of us want to put off until “someday”—but don’t let the challenge of it scare you. Once you’ve done it, you’ll feel amazing. If you don’t believe me, try decluttering just one small area and see how it makes you feel. The more progress you make, the more you’ll realize how true this is: less stuff equals less stress. Let’s start 2018 off with a clean mind and a clean home. JANUARY 2020 \\ THE BINGO NUGGET

January should be full of career successes for everybody born in the sign of Virgo. To achieve goals is for Virgo very easy and her initiative and professionalism is interesting, even for people near her- there may be a promotion in the air. In the relationship field, you can expect peace and harmony, unlike last year.
January brings you lots of interesting events, even some work opportunities, which you must grab immediately. Although Libra’s main trait of character is indecision, in this case it doesn’t pay. Because of your hesitation you could leave empty-handed.
Scorpio can expect that he will spend the beginning of the year in a calm mood. Moments which you appreciate the most are moments spent alone, so you try to search for them for the entire month of January. Thanks to that, you can look accessible, in extreme cases though, selfishly or inconsiderately.
Sagittarius should be prepared for the reality that he has to make lots of important decisions, especially in his career. If you were thinking about changing your job, January is the best time to do that. But be level-headed, otherwise you could regret your decision.

Find a
NEW HOBBY
January is National Hobby Month. Trying to figure out what to do during your days off or your evenings could be some tough stuff. It can feel a little cheesy trying to find a hobby as an adult, especially when one doesn’t include drinking or happy hours. But what if you’re not particularly passionate about anything? Where do you start? Well, first of all, everyone has a passion — you just haven’t discovered yours yet, probably. But don’t worry, there are a lot of easy (and painless) ways to find out just what it is. Below are seven tips on how to discover what you love to do and find your hobby as an adult.
1. Take It Back To Your Childhood
If you don’t know where to begin, think back to what you loved doing as a kid. Those were the times you were wild and free, and you didn’t do something unless you really, really loved it. Chances are, you still have a lot of those same core interests.
2. Try A Couple Of Ideas On For Size
If you’re stumped where to begin, throw yourself into options and see how you respond to them. Sometimes doing something as easy as walking around a crafts or sports store can get you thinking. Maybe you find yourself drawn to the cookbooks or the scrapbooking section; this can give you a clue as to what you might be interested in.
3. Choose Something That Will Make You Forget About Your Day
If you’re not into the idea of picking up a hobby just to occupy your downtime, try to think of something that makes you forget about the stresses and worries of your day. It should be something that helps you unwind and slip back into balance. If crocheting or learning a language feels like it would be work, then that’s not the hobby for you.
4. See If You Have Any Past Hobbies That You Forgot About
Maybe you already had a hobby, just you completely forgot about it. Though it seems like a weird thing to do, sometimes our hobbies might feel like projects and we don’t realize they could become a running activity in our lives.
5. Notice What You Love To Buy As Guilty Pleasures
Is there a certain thing you just can’t help but buy every time you’re out shopping? The item might be holding the clue towards Do you love scented candles? Maybe you could make your own. Are your walls adorned with fine art? Try painting.
6. See What You Want To Change About Yourself
Some people might have a hard time doing idle work that serves no purpose other than being fun. You know that feeling: When you’re out at the movies or enjoying a long shopping trip, and you think “I really should be doing X instead.” If you’re always on the move and trying to hit a goal or better yourself, make your hobby fit that criteria. Pick one up that will help you change for the better.
7. Think Of The Last Thing That Made You Forget To Eat
What was the last thing you did in your life that made the time completely fly by? When did you have one of those moments where you checked the clock and were shocked you missed lunch or dinner because you were so absorbed in your work? Remember it, and then go after it, of pick apart the core ideas of what made it so special for you and see if you can find them in a different activity.

Uber eats must! This was most delicious and stunning to go meal I have ever had. The house salad is so fresh and the soup not over seasoned. Additionally, the bread was warm and plentiful. This is my go to place from now on! The homemade Evergreen dressing was delicious.

Fresh Heim
13776 N Highway 183 Ste 142 Austin, TX 78750 (512) 258-1833 ‘ve been wanting to try this place quite sometime now. Finally, today I went and it was all I thought and more. I went for lunch and the ambience of the place is extraordinary, very Zen. Ordered the lunch size pork loin with noodle, mango sauce for the meat and balsamic for the salad. The portions seem big but are good enough to get you satisfied. I was also pleased with the prices. Very affordable and good, fresh, organic food. You get your money’s worth and your belly happy. Shoreline Sandwich Co.
500 N Shoreline Blvd Ste 108 Corpus Christi, TX 78401 (361) 651-1345
Seriously some of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. And not only that, but the salads are equally as great. Made with love! If you really want a delicious treat, try the brisket chili. THAT is literally the best chili I have ever had. Staff is always friendly and welcoming. Try calling in during the lunch hours to place an order (it’s much quicker!) The interior also has an awesome look to it. Can’t say enough good things! John L. 5.0 star rating 11/19/2019 Yelp Review

What a great place! I discovered this place accidentally while taking pictures of some cool murals I had seen this earlier. Great presentation of the trio salad (fried chicken salad; tuna salad and fruit salad). Delicious! Whipped cream fluff for the fruit. Oh my!

Games & puzzles The rules of Sudoku are that you should fill a number into every cell in the grid, using numbers 1 to 9. The restriction is that you can only use each number once in each row, each column and in each 3 x 3 boxes.
