Rattler Coaching Staff Mark Soto
Athletic Director / Head Coach Rattler Nation, welcome to the 2019 season. We are proud of our Rattler Nation program. San Marcos athletes are known for our tenacious play during competition. We must use our training to build upon this attitude, WE MUST DEFEND SM. Your commitment to self-improvement this summer gives you the added boost to compete in one of the toughest districts in the state. If we want different results this season, we must train differently. Our attitude must become even more tenacious, positive, competitive, and faith-filled. We must believe we can compete in this district. This confidence is forged in the weight room and practice fields. Our approach to this season mentally, physically, and attitude-wise must c reate a fire in our heart. We must strain to take our teams to the next level. Competition breeds success and we need to sharpen each other’s iron. No one has ever made the 6A Texas playoffs sitting on the couch. Each and every workout is a chance to sharpen your tools that will be used in competition this year. It is your choice to discipline yourself creating the freedom you desire in competition. Training with self-discipline, will gain the trust it takes to develop a winning team. Rattler fans, you are our 12th man and we feed off your energy in the stands. Your positive reinforcement synergizes our team’s efforts. It takes us all the band, color guard, diamond line, ROTC, cheer, parents and game workers to win a ball game. Each Friday lets show our Rattler Pride with positive cheer for each and every one of our athletes, coaches, students, and sponsors. #DEFENDSM #STRIKEASONE #RATTLERGRIT #RATTLERRESPONSIBLE Build your team and program RATTLER STRONG and reap the benefits a character based athletic program will bring. Anthony, We believe in you and are excited to see where your next journey takes you.
Love You Always!
For we live by faith not by sight 2nd Corinthians 5:7
Ma ria Criselda Facundo
CLASS OF 2020
Criselda, The road traveled will always seem long, and the experiences along the way will give you the strength and knowledge to grow. Remember always that the hard times and failures in life make you a better person. You have grown up so fast and unfortunately faster than most young girls at this point in their lives. All your experiences both good and bad have shaped you into a great young lady and ultimately into the great woman you will become. You have an unbreakable commitment to be the best person you can be, both physically and mentally. That commitment will make you a success in life no matter the challenges you will face ahead. You are an inspiration to everyone who lays witness and even though your high school years will not define you, we pray for a memorable and successful senior year. Always keep working hard, we are so proud of you!
We love you and God Bless! Mom & Dad ~ Chris and Patricia Facundo, Christopher, Matthew, Grandparents: David and Dominga Gamez and Ascension and Bertha Facundo. Phillippians 4:13
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
