Long ago, in an ancient Afrikan civilization, in a beautiful land called Nimbala, the people there were creative and productive. Music played a large role in their culture. The Nimbalans were a very musical people. They were conquered by evil demons called the Afoonana. The Afoonana cast darkness upon the once beautiful country. Many of the Nimbalans who were enslaved and killed did not rest in peace. They roamed Afrika as spirits and pursued these criminals. They were called the "Ngoma". After many years, the Ngoma helped to establish justice in their country once again. During their astral travel throughout the Earth, several Ngoma happened upon the United States. They were attracted to Black Americans because of the similarities between them and their people, namely their oppression, their appearance and their appreciation of music.
The Ngoma influenced the High Priest of Nimbala to send one of his daughters to help Black people in America to establish justice without their knowledge and without altering their present course of history. The Priest sent his wisest and most musically inclined daughter, Aesop. Her mission was to choose and train a group of students how to utilize magic and their musical ability properly in order to influence and guide their generation to justice.
