Rhum Old Fashioned @ Rhum Room By Caroline Underwood
Walking into the Rhum Room was like being on the set of “Cheers.” Everyone may not have known my name, but even the customers smiled and laughed like we were old friends. The bar is beautifully decorated with a modern take on an 18th century ship, complete with a mermaid figurehead on the wall. The starshaped lanterns hanging from the ceiling were reminiscent of the night sky leading a ship home. This spunky bar has an equally appropriate drink special: the Rhum Old Fashioned. Made with Bayou Rum, this spiced cocktail is the perfect pair to a Cuban sandwich (featured on the lunch menu) or the perfect ending to a long day at work. Whatever it may be, cheers!
