REGISTER IN PERSON We welcome in-person registrations at the Parks and Recreation Administrative Office, Landa Recreation Center, Das Rec and the Fischer Park Nature Education Center. Checks should be made payable to "City of New Braunfels." A charge will be assessed on all returned checks.
PROGRAM & EVENT POLICIES CANCELLATIONS We reserve the right to cancel a class/activity that does not meet minimum registration requirements. Programs and classes with low registration are cancelled a minimum of five days prior to the class start date. WAIT LISTS If registering for a class that is full, your name can be placed on a waiting list. This does not guarantee a spot, but individuals will be contacted if an opening becomes available. REFUNDS Cancellations of programs or events made one week (7 days) prior to the start of a program will receive a full credit to their account or a refund will be issued. NO CREDITS OR REFUNDS will be given within seven days or after the start of a program or event. Registration fees will not be prorated for partial attendance of any program. PHOTO RELEASE The New Braunfels Parks and Recreation Department routinely takes photos and videos of participants in recreation activities, programs and special events. These photos and/or videos may be used for promotional purposes. Be aware that by participating, you are granting the City of New Braunfels the right to use and publish your image or your minor child’s image.
Relive the spirit of historic New Braunfels in this nighttime guided tour of the Comal Cemetery. This event is a fundraiser for the New Braunfels Cemetery Committee and funds raised will be used for cemetery improvements. This is a walking tour; golf cart tours are available for individuals who need assistance. Tour by golf cart is offered during the first tour of both nights. Request “cart tour” when purchasing your tickets. Parking for this event will be at Cypress Bend Park, 503 Peace Ave. Participants will be taken to the Comal Cemetery by hayride. Adult Field Day is a throwback to grade school, built with adults in mind. We’ve got all the classic games like tug-of-war, relay races, obstacle courses, some crazy new games and some surprises throughout the day. Teams will earn points in each event to add up to your total for the day. Will your team have what it takes to take home the “King of the Field” Cup? Grab some friends, start your team (6 or more people) and gear up for this awesome event! One 48 qt. cooler is permitted. There will be food and drinks available for purchase. Softball
Each league plays a 10-game schedule and a season-ending tournament. League play is governed by ASA, TAAF, and local league rules. Please register early; there are a limited number of teams that are allowed on each night of the week. Absolutely no registrations after the Manager’s meeting on Thursday, September 6. This registration fee will take care of the team fee for the season. The team fee will include: registration with TAAF, staffing fees, ground maintenance, and softballs. IT WILL NOT TAKE CARE OF THE UMPIRE FEE. THAT MUST BE PROVIDED EACH GAME TO THE UMPIRES BEFORE THE START OF THE GAME. THE FEE FOR UMPIRES IS $20 PER TEAM, PER GAME. The City will pay the umpires for the end of season tournament if your team does qualify for it. The City will provide softballs for the league. Join Spass Walking Tours for a guided, interactive walking tour through two historic New Braunfels’ cemeteries that includes an exercise in using dowsing rods to find unmarked graves from 1846! This recreational volleyball league emphasizes skill development and fun. Leagues emphasize teamwork and fair play. Teams are coed. Younger children learn basics like bumping, setting and spiking. The use of personal grills is prohibited in all City parks. Glass containers are prohibited. Music, excessive noise and disturbing conduct are not allowed. Pets must be on a leash at all times; leashes can be extended to a maximum of six feet in length. Reservations are required for pavilions. Park Rangers will collect a $25 fee for individual picnic tables (non-residents only) from Easter weekend-October 31st. Picnicking, wading and swimming allowed only in designated areas.
