HIS YEAR marks the 10th Annual Austin Modern Home Tour, a showcase of spectacular examples of modern architecture, design, construction and decor throughout Austin neighborhoods. On Saturday, February 24th from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., meet the architects, builders and design professionals that conceptualized and executed the 12 homes selected this year. “Ten years ago, when I started the Modern Home Tour, there was almost no modern architecture at all in Austin,” says founder Krisstina Wise of GoodLife Luxury. “I reached out to six architects about the idea of a tour and that first year, we had almost 500 attendees, so we knew Austin was interested and wanted to learn more.” “We’ve seen our impact grow and now, around 1,500 people attend each year,” noted James Leasure, tour partner and producer. His company, Modern Architecture + Design Society, produces Modern Home Tours across the country that have garnered 9,000 visitors attending the annual tours to date.
