Weird News
Army Vertern Finds Surgical Tool Glenford Turner had surgery in 2013 at a Veterans Affairs hospital in Connecticut. Four years later, doctors discovered that a sharp metal surgical instrument had been accidentally left inside the Army veteran’s body. “It’s perplexing to me how they could be so incompetent that a scalpel that really should only be on the exterior of your body not only goes into the body but then is sewn into the body,” Turner’s lawyer, Joel Faxon, tells NPR. “It’s a level of incompetence that’s almost incomprehensible.” The lawsuit alleges that a trainee surgeon performed the radical prostatectomy at VA Connecticut Healthcare System, West Haven Campus. “Subsequent to the surgery,

German Senior Citizens in a Retirement Home Running an Illegal Gambling Ring for – Chocolates! Cologne, Germany – A retirement home in Germany had to ban their weekly bingo games because city authorities warned them that the games were against German gambling laws. They are now awaiting a special license that would allow them to resume their games. “We were completely speechless at first when we heard about it, we never thought that we, a senior citizen’s institution, were running an illegal gambling ring,” said the home’s manager, Gabriele Patzke.
The pensioners at the home each contribute a sum of €0.50 (about $0.60) to the weekly game for a the chance of winning a box of chocolates at the end. Last year, the retirement hall was reported for illegal gambling. A spokesperson for the city said in January that “we hope to solve this quickly and unbureaucratically by giving them a three-month permit.” The retirement home will have to jump through more bureaucratic hoops in the future. Besides having to wait for their special license and reapply every three months, the home will have to notify authorities each time a game is to take place.

Is it a taco? Is it sushi? Why choose when you can have both? At Yellowfish Sushi, the menu can be a little overwhelming with the giant selection of items to choose from. They take sushi to a new level and the spice lover in you will surely leave satisfied. Sure, they have your normal sushi, but then they take it up a notch, and make it completely San Antonio by adding spice. With your traditional rolls (like the dragon roll, maki roll, etc.), you will also find ones like the jarocho roll that has fried crawfish, serranos and habanero masago topped with fresh tuna and avocado with a salsa roja drizzle to finish it out. Then come the Japanese tacos (hand rolls) that come in some amazing combinations. My favorite has to be the elote taco – sweet corn mixed with chives and picante mayo, avocado, and chilli powder. You don’t have to break the bank to fix your heart
by Melanie Tawil
What if I told you I could help save you money and get heart healthy at the same time? It’s time to throw out the belief that eating healthy is expensive. Every February, The Bingo Nugget likes to present a heart healthy article because it is that serious. Heart disease is the leading cause of death for people of most ethnicities in the United States. The choices shouldn’t be difficult after making a few of these small shifts in your daily life. And because juggling the dietary needs of other diseases go hand in hand with heart disease (think Type 2 Diabetes) – you can lower the risk of being diagnosed with a secondary disease in the future. Jonni McCoy from the American Heart Association came up with the following tips for eating healthy on a budget: Unsalted nuts and beans have a healthy as fresh produce and just lot of protein, as well. This is the moment you’ve been waiting for. You’re on the main stage this month, Aquarius. The skills that you’ve been sharpening over the last year are here and ready for you to use them to the fullest advantage. This is a very promising moment for you. Soak it in – you’ve worked for it.
Repetition and habits at its best this month. Put in place good habits that you see leading you to your highest self this month. If something has been weighing heavy on you to cut out of your life, do it. The negativity will just open a wound of hurt throughout the month.
Sweet Aries, we all know that you like to take command of situations, but just this once please sit back and let the process unfold. The hardest part of the battle this month will be to let go and allow things to just be. Don’t be in a hurry to get to the conclusion of the conflict this is when sloppiness occurs.
You can do no wrong this month. Just take a step and magic is happening at every corner that you make. You’ll see friends in other signs making giant moves in their lives, do not try and reinvent the wheel, they’re just playing catch up. Believe in the systems you’ve put in place in January.

It’s about time for a reinvention. You’ve been wanting to change something in your life, do not allow others to dictate what you do. They have their lives, you have yours; stay in your lane. However, do not allow your decisions to mess with other people’s lives – this can backfire and karma will remember.
There is a reason why you are in the position you are at this moment. You may be replaying things you’ve said or done in the past, Stop. You’re wasting a lot of energy where you could be growing from these mistakes. Do not be reactive in the conflicts that arise this month, emotions will not play well.
This will be an incredibly neutral month for you. Fate is in your hands and it’s just not looking forward to rocking the boat in any way. None of your actions will be then propel you forward, nor will you see it pull you back to places you thought you’d ever return. Every situation you encounter this month will be purely up to you.
Trust your gut, it knows what’s up. Your “sixth sense,” aka intuition, will be in full working mode this month. Be expecting a boost from planetary partners, you will be accomplishing so much this month. In order to make the biggest moves, you will need to make sure your risks are large.

Those trust issues of the past are long gone. You need to learn how to rely on your friends for help. They’re there for a reason. Tear down those walls you’ve built, they’re not serving you in your highest self in February. You do have the choice to take other’s advice, but at the end of the day they mean well.
This will be an extremely powerful month for you. Everything you’re doing just falls into place. You’re being provided with resources left and right. What you do with the resources is up to you. You have been given a toolbox of energy, you may feel lonely at the top – don’t be afraid to ask for help.
Your emotions are in check and you’re ready to slay the month. Trust your gut: it knows what’s up. When negative waves come at you, make sure you have your willpower in check, you’ll need it. You will have an ease at combining your personal and professional worlds throughout February.
You are going to be rocked out of your element this month. As much as you love being in your own little cave, you will find outside forces driving you out and having you in for the ride of your life. A little bit of uncomfortable situations didn’t hurt anybody – take everything in and savor the moment.

TOP 5 FOODS FOR
Healthy Hair Healthy hair is derived from your lifestyle. The saying “You are what you eat” could be the same when referring to your hair, what you eat and how you take care of yourself will reflect in your hair. Some ways to help keep your hair healthy is by washing with sulfate free shampoos, sulfates can strip the natural oils from your skin and dry out your hair. Wash your hair every other day, if you do not have very oily hair you should definitely not wash your hair every day, the combination of hot water and over washing your hair can cause the scalp to become dry and cause dandruff. Brush your hair when it is dry and not wet, use a wide tooth comb and work from the ends on up allow your hair to dry 80% before using a hair dryer. Finally, try not to use too many hot tools on your hair, hair dryers, straighteners and curling irons used too frequently can leave your hair dry, dull and prone to breakage.
Blueberries
Blueberries are a great source of Vitamin C. Vitamin C is critical for blood circulation to the scalp and supports the small blood vessels that feed the follicles.
Swiss Chard
Swiss chard contains natural Biotin, Biotin helps your body convert food into energy. It is also important for the health of your hair, skin and nails! An easy and delicious way to enjoy Swiss chard is by melting butter and oil in a pan. Add garlic and red pepper flakes and then the Swiss Chart until it is tender (about 8 minutes) when it is done, sprinkle lemon over the top…. Simple yet Delicious!!!
Salmon
Salmon is high in Omega-3 fatty acids which help in balancing the oils in your body, it will help in reducing flakiness and itching on your scalp.
Spinach
Spinach is a great source of vitamin C! Spinach helps regulate the oil production on your scalp. If you have oily hair like I do, eating foods high in vitamin C will help in reducing that oil.
Walnuts
Enjoy a few walnuts a day, they are high in vitamin E which studies have shown help hair grow faster.

THINGS TO DO
URBAN AXES This month I was finally able to visit Urban Axes located in East Austin. A new take on target practice, Urban Axes is a mini warehouse set up with 24 axe throwing lanes. Each lane is about seven feet and each bay has four lanes. The object is simple: aim for the target and throw so the axe “sticks” to the wooden panel. Compare it to a game of darts, only with an axe instead of the dart, and a three section target vs. a traditional dart board. While reserving a group lane is preferred, customers are still able to sign up for a lane during specific “walk in” hours. Walk in hours are first come, first Austin Location 812 Airport Blvd, Austin, TX 78702 (512) 887-2937 Public Walk-Ins: Tues - Fri: 6PM - 9PM Sat: 11AM - 6PM Sun: 11AM - 3PM

served, so it is recommended to arrive early on most days. Aside from group reservations and walk ins, Urban Axes offer customers a chance to form social leagues for tournament purposes throughout the week. Each lane has an Urban Axe coach not only to guide you when needed, but for the safety of other shooters in the pit. Urban Axes is open Tuesday Sunday until 11pm on most nights, walk in hours vary. The cost per person is $20/ hour with discounts on six or more per group. For more information on location, hours of operation, and league information visit www.urbanaxes.com.
