San Marcos High School head baseball coach Bryan Webb enters his 10th season as head coach of the San Marcos High School baseball program. He has successfully guided the team from the depths of district mediocrity to an expectation to contend for district championships, long playoff runs — and perhaps sometime soon — a state championship. In his nine seasons with the Rattlers, Webb has compiled an 103-64 record and his team has posted no fewer than 20 wins each season, while advancing to the playoffs the past six years. Last season, the Rattlers went 20-9 CPF ƒPKUJGF HQWTVJ KP &KUVTKEV # ż one of the toughest baseball districts in the state. Webb has been coaching high school baseball for 17 years, fourteen of which are as a head coach.
His career record is 260-159-4 At the college level, Webb played two years for Ranger Junior College before transferring to Tarleton State where he earned his bachelor and master’s degrees in education. Prior to coming to San Marcos, Webb was head coach at Tolar High School, Groveton High School and Baird High School. “It has been an honor and a privilege to be able to coach here in San Marcos and lead a wonderful group of talented young men – past and present,â€? Webb said. “Our program has made a lot of strides in the past; we’re not going to be comRNGVGN[ UCVKUĆ’GF WPVKN YG DTKPI JQOG C state title.â€?
