As I walk into Waterside Restaurant and Bar
for our photo shoot with Siggy, I look from afar as she’s getting her make up done. Suddenly, I hear myself saying, “My God, you are already so pretty!” She hears me and chuckles and complements me as well as I introduce myself. It was love at first sight with this lady. Siggy is everything you would want in a girlfriend. She is honest and opinionated, funny, a great listener, outgoing, wise and oh...so down to earth!
Her beauty does not get in the way of being REAL and having an amazing sense of humor combined with the cutest and one-of-a-kind NO-BS bluntness, which is quite honestly, refreshing. It is no wonder she is a successful woman on multiple, if not all levels. After years of professional matchmaking, Siggy is currently working on various projects, one of which is a new book titled, “Write Your Own Fairy Tale: A Guide to Finding True Love On Your Terms” and an upcoming TV show. She also has frequent appearances on The Wendy Williams Show as well as The Today Show with Kathie Lee and Hoda. With all this at hand, Siggy is not slowing down...except maybe for her lucky husband Michael and their kids. This mommy has it all! Despite all of her obvious accolades, one of Siggy’s biggest accomplishments is her personal love story. After eight years of marriage and 2 children, Siggy and Mark, her ex-husband, chose to divorce without recriminations and all the usual drama. She calls it “Divorce Done Right.” There were no lawyers, no bitter arguments and no traumatized children. Does that exist? Only if you create it to be this way and Siggy obviously knows how! Not only has Siggy remained friends with her ex-husband, Mark; Siggy has proven to be the ultimate matchmaker by finding him the perfect wife whom she refers to as “the perfect woman.” When Siggy married again, to Michael Campanella, Mark stood up as Michael’s best man and walked Siggy down the aisle. She is the living example of practicing what you preach. Here is a teaser into her relationship do’s and don’ts!

Siggy’s Relationship Tips, Do’s & Don’ts:
1. Love yourself first! It’s all about owning who you are. 2. A man’s rejection is Gods protection! 3. A man should always love a woman a little bit more... 4. Write down what your true gifts are and what makes you unique. 5. When you have kids and are starting to date: they don’t get to meet your kids until it’s serious!
6. If you want a fabulous life, get rid of the toxic people in your life. 7. Don’t compare your life to others. Follow your heart and realize you’re in competition with no one else but yourself.

The key to having a healthy marriage is letting your kids know your relationship comes first. The kids have to see the two of you as a unit.

Have date night once a week. It’s important to have a day to get dressed up for each other, connect and look into each others eyes.
For all new or stay at home mommies:
“Get involved in something else because it’s important to have outlets or a place/time for you. Being a mom is the hardest job out there and doing something else outside of motherhood doesn’t have to be something big. It doesn’t matter if you’re making scrap books or collecting blood at the blood bank, as long as you are mentally and emotionally involved in it.”
