Networking with a Purpose A group of 15 community business leaders with West Katy Netweavers will be preparing and serving a Western style dinner to visitors of the Ballard House on October 15. Ballard House is a 20,000-square-foot home away from home for a number of families from all over the world who come to Houston to receive medical treatment for diseases such as cancer. It is located on three acres in Cinco Ranch, next to Creech Elementary. The house features 24 guest suites, a chapel, library, game room, family room, kitchen, serenity garden and corporate offices. West Katy Netweavers are members of a business networking group who give Kuykendall, Danial Van Holten preparing back to the community through quarterly campaigns. Their past campaigns dinner at the Ballard House include donating and planting trees to benefit students at Faith West Academy, sending holiday care packages to deployed soldiers through Project Frontline, collecting bears and other donations for the Joe Joe Bear Foundation and serving dinner to residents of the Ballard House. DeeDee Buck with NuSkin/Pharmanex is a member of West Katy Netweavers. When asked why she volunteered to help with this community program, she said "I have a passion for helping people in need." "It's a wonderful way for our group of business professionals to give back to the community in which we live and work, and to bring a little sunshine to the families facing a difficult time in their lives," said Tajana Mesic, the organizer of West Katy Netweavers.
