How did you meet? A friend of mine was dating one of Evan’s friends at the time. We met through them. First Date: Evan took me to the Sandwich Shoppe on the Island then went to Politics’ to talk and get to know each other more. We also played darts and I beat him. (haha) When did you know they were the one for you? Bride: He was/is always so patient with me. I, as most girls, let my emotions get the best of me. He was always willing to work through whatever problems we were having. Groom: Every day we spent together, I felt like she complimented me more. And when I saw how well she interacted with my nephew, Jack, I was done for. Who proposed and how? Evan proposed. He had a Yeti mug engraved with what he kept saying were my wrong initials (with his last name). When he showed me the mug,

I, of course, said we could just keep it. Then he pulled out the ring and said, “Maybe this will be easier”. And asked me to marry him Best part of planning your wedding? Seeing everything come together so gracefully the day of. Favorite Part of Your Wedding Day? The ceremony. It was such a surreal, emotional time. Tips for Brides & Grooms: Wedding planning is a rollercoaster! Plan a wedding that the both of you want. If the both of you want something small, make it just immediate family. If you both want it big, invite everyone. Also, the day is just as much the groom’s as it is the bride’s, so make sure to keep his wishes for the wedding in mind. Plans for your lives together? To start a little family and to have a happy life together. We would like to thank our wedding party.

Each of my girls made my wedding shower, bachelorette party, and the day of such a great experience. They know how to make a girl feel loved! I could not have asked for a better group of friends to share the day with me. Evan’s groomsmen were also just as awesome. Evan had his bachelor party in New Orleans and his guys made sure it was a great night. Our event coordinator at the Ortiz Center, Ali, said they were the best groomsmen she ever dealt with! They took the day very seriously. Best cake we’ve ever had! Wedding Favors: Cookies - April Escochea Honeymoon: Costa Rica Other Vendors: I had my bachelorette party in Fredericksburg and we stayed at a house called “The Aqua Door”. I found the house on Home Away. I would highly recommend it! It was such a cute house that easily fit the eight girls that went.
