Create a notebook and make a list of vendors and services you still need for Your Wedding and

questions you have. Also a great place to organize ideas and tips you pick up at the Show!

and theme of your wedding.

16.

Don’t be shy, start conversations! Talking to other Bride is a great way to get valuable information on quality vendors, and you may even make a few new friends!

7. Bring a large bag to use for collecting vendors info. There will be a lot of information passed out at the Show you will want to pick up.

17.

8.

Create a special email account and rent a PO Box dedicated to Wedding Planning. You can give theseaddresses to Vendors you meet at the Show. After the Wedding simply cancel this email address and PO Box.

9.

Make up pre-printed address labels before the Show with all of your contact info to give to Vendorsyou are interested in working with and to make it easier to Register for Giveaways. Include Bride’s Name, Groom’s Name, Wedding Date, Address, Phone #s and Email Address.

10. If you see vendors you have already booked, say Hello and ask them for referrals to reputable vendor services you still need. They may have worked with them at other Weddings and serve as a very valuable reference. 11. Bring your Credit Cards, Checkbook and some Cash. Vendors often offer Show Discounts if you book at their booth. And there will be vendors selling Jewelry, Accessories and Gifts at the Show that youwon’t want to miss!

13. Walk up the aisles on one side, then down the other side of the same aisle. This way you will seeevery vendor in

the Show. Visit every booth with an open mind. You might not be interested in a particular service today but you could change your mind tomorrow and you will have all the info you need.

Bring a Camera: Snap photos of your favorite booths and professionals you want to work with. Or that favorite Dress or Centerpiece design you want for Your Wedding!

Rehearsal Dinner, Wedding and other important dates so you know when you are available to schedule appointments with vendors for consultations, tastings, and fittings.

19.

Many exhibitors book up quickly, especially on popular wedding dates, and book out a year in advance, so don’t wait too long after the show before you decide to call or utilize their services. Generally speaking, there is a rush of appointments

14. Watch the Fashion Shows; they are a great way to see the latest fashions and trends. Notice how the gowns look and fit the models and envision how they will look on you. 15.

Bring color swatches and pictures of Bride’s Dress and Bridesmaids’ dresses, if they have already been selected. This is a wonderful way to show prospective vendors your style

18.

Bring your Calendar with your Bridal Shower,

immediately after the Bridal Show. So if you really like a certain vendor’s look or style book them ASAP.

20. Don’t rush! Take time to plan Your Wedding, Enjoy Yourself and make sure to taste some Cake! Special tip for Grooms: You may want to make arrangements for a foot massage for your future bride for after the Show or a relaxing soak in the tub – great for scoring brownie points!

bridal bouquet styles

BRIDAL BOUQUET STYLE by Weddings in Bloom There are many different styles of Bridal Bouquet to choose from, so which style is perfect for You?

THE HAND-TIED BOUQUET Hand-tied bouquets are a simple gathering of flowers, loose-tied with ribbon with the stems left exposed. Hand-tieds are the most popular style for all types of weddings and are an especially beautiful choice for an outdoor wedding with that just picked from the garden look.

12

CASCADE BOUQUET Cascade Bouquets are designed to descend gracefully over the bride’s hands as it flows downward in waterfall effect. This bouquet can be made in a bouquet holder or as a hand-tied bouquet and are really coming back into popularity right now.

THE COMPOSITE BOUQUET Composite Bouquets are a variation of the round bouquet where a single flower is constructed from a bud or center flower with petals wired to it making it look like one enormous flower. This style is very elegant in design and perfect for a bride who loves simplicity.

THE POSY OR NOSEGAY BOUQUET Posy Bouquets are small, round hand-tied bouquets that can easily be held in one hand. The bouquet can be either formal or unstructured for a more natural look and the stems of the flowers are usually completely wrapped with ribbon or fabric.

THE CRESCENT BOUQUET Crescent Bouquets are similar in shape to a quarter moon. A soft arch design, using distinct flowers to form a definite shape, wired together to form a slender handle that you can hold in one hand. This style is perfect for sophisticated and contemporary weddings.

THE BIEDERMEIER BOUQUET

THE BROOCH BOUQUET Brooch Bouquets are made with a collection of brooches designed together into a bouquet shape; Ribbons and Silk or Fresh Flowers can also be incorporated to give it a more polished look. This is a great way to personalize your bouquet to fit your style, add family heirlooms and history to your wedding, and to have as a keepsake of your special day.

THE BASKET BOUQUET Basket Bouquets are a grouping of flowers arranged in a shallow basket. The flowers are often designed to cascade over the sides of the basket and more often used in a garden-style weddings.

Biedermeier Bouquets are a geometric style bouquet where the flowers are arranged in defined circular patterns of different types and colors of flowers, each ring containing one type of flower. It is recently showing signs of popularity again due to its dramatic beauty and contrast.

THE PRESENTATION OR ARM SHEAF BOUQUET Presentation Bouquets are long stemmed f lowers and foliage grouped together in a design that the bride carries cradled in her arm. Stems are usually left exposed and bound with ribbon or tied with a bow.

THE POMANDER BOUQUET OR KISSING BALL Pomander Bouquets are a ball of flowers suspended from a loop of decorative ribbon. These bouquets are generally designed as a compact ball shape, but have recently become more popular as designed in a more a natural, cascading or crescent design.

who pays for what?

WHO PAYS FOR WHAT? Although times have changed and weddings have become more and more modernized, the traditional way of budgeting primarily remains the same. However, some couples pay for the whole wedding themselves or have family and friends offer to pay for certain items. It is your wedding and your choice on what works best for you and your families’ budget. Traditionally this is the common way financially responsibilities are divided among families:

BRIDE: Groom’s Wedding Ring

GROOM: Bride’s Engagement & Wedding Ring

Gifts for Maid of Honor and Bridesmaids

Gifts for Best Man & Groomsmen

Groom’s Wedding Gift

BRIDE’S FAMILY: Wedding Planner / Coordinator

Stationary (Announcements, Invitations, Wedding Favors, etc.) Ceremony & Reception Costs (Venue, Flowers, Decorations, Catering, Cake, etc.)

Corsages for Mothers & Grandmothers

Boutonnieres for Groom, Fathers and Grandfathers
