David Olds Fotografie David Olds, known as “Foto Dave” to clients and friends, specializes in “making his clients look good” in portraiture, weddings, commercial and product photography. He discovered his passion for photography as a teenager. By the time he was in college, he had built a successful company photographing models and actors/actresses for their portfolios. David served as an officer in the US Army for over ten years and then as a sales manager in a multinational company in Germany before returning to professional photography. After twelve successful years in Europe, he relocated to Corpus Christi. David won a national award from Kodak early in his career and was published in Kodak’s The Joy of Photography book. More recently he was published in Shutterbug magazine and numerous Corpus Christi magazines. We couldn’t have done it without your support. Thank you and God bless. When did you know you found the one for you? Bride: At first I was very hesitant, marriage is not something you just run into, but after a lot of prayer and confirmation after confirmation I knew he was the one God sent for me. Groom: When we were working together at the Montessori school and I had to choose to either leave her alone or pursue her. I was willing to take the chance to have my heart broken for her and it didn’t stop me. How did the Groom propose? Garrett took me to his cousin’s ranch and was showing me around. He was asking if it would be a nice place to get mar-

ried and when I said yes he wanted to know where exactly I would like to get married at. I pointed to a spot near the pier, he said he’d be right back. He came back with a note book and started to read from it, throughout the reading he began to look nervous. He got down on his knee and asked me to marry him right in the same spot we were married at on our wedding day. Best part of planning your wedding? I think the best part of planning the wedding was having so much help from everyone. It really allowed us to see how blessed we are with great friends and family. Favorite Part of Your Wedding Day? Bride: It is hard to pick one specific point in particular, but I would have to say my favorite part was the last dance. Everyone that was still at the wedding got up and boogied on down on the dance floor to “Play That Funky Music White

Tips for Brides & Grooms: I know it’s hard, but remember that you are creating memories throughout the whole thing. When you feel stressed stop and pray and know that God is in control! You put Him first, even in the wedding planning, He will ensure that everything will fall together! Also remember that all the little decorations and things are probably the things that people will not remember, most times they don’t know how it is “supposed to look” anyway. What they will remember is that they had a good time and that it was evident y’all enjoy the wedding as well. Matthew 6:25-34
