Celebrating a Music Legend: Anesh Thulasee
Musician Feature: Anesh Thulasee: A Music Legend
The month of May is considered significant because the World celebrates the contribution and sacrifice of workers to and for the society. The day's importance dates back to the times when workers in the United States started protesting against draconian labour laws, workers' rights violations, poor working conditions, and dreadful work hours.

A Very Happy Birthday to This Selfless Amazing Musician
Born from a humble Hindu Brahmin family in Northern KZN, Newcastle, Anesh Thulasee has been exposed to music from the young age of 5 years old by his brother and family members.
Coming from a culturally rich family, naturally Anesh was in all Bhajan groups in and around Newcastle from the 70's, 80's, 90's and up to today.
A highly talented musician well-versed in percussion instruments. Anesh Thulasee has learned music by ear, which means he can play anything he hears without having to read the tune from any music notes.

"Hand him any instrument and he'll be able to play it"
says his beautiful wife of 35 years, Aruna Thulasee.
Anesh Thulasee has played for many local bands in and around Newcastle, Metronomes, Sat Chit Ananda Temple Band, Dundee Mother's Temple Band, Shri Ramakrishna Dham of South Africa and many more.
From keys to strings to drums, Anesh can play them all!
Mr. Thulasee was more than accommodating and insightful! The Digital Divide Magazine sent him a few questions and we are grateful that this amazing musician shared his response:
