DÍG en Español focuses on providing in-depth reporting on and for the Latinx community at CSULB and in Long Beach Through the help of our bilingual students and staff, DÍG en Español provides a platform that highlights those who are often underrepresented in the media
This advertising policy has been created to ensure that the advertisements that appear on or in DÍG en Español (including the print publication, website, e-newsletter, social media platforms, podcasts and video) align with the publication’s mission
Considering our audience includes Latinos, immigrants and people of diverse backgrounds, DÍG en Español has decided to not accept advertisements or financial support from the following industries or companies:
Alcohol Tobacco Cannabis Some Government Agencies Political Candidates
Additionally, DÍG en Español will not accept ads that are misleading or ads purveying harmful products
DÍG en Español does not accept advertorials or advertisements that simulate an editorial format or may be perceived by the reader as an editorial piece of content All advertisements submitted must be clearly identifiable as an advertisement
As DÍG en Español is now a bilingual publication, advertisements can be in either English or Spanish This includes print, video and audio advertisements If an advertisement needs to be translated, we are happy to do so for an additional fee
Closing dates for advertisements will be one week prior to the publication or publishing date If advertisements need to be translated, an additional week will be needed for translation

Your advertising dollars help sustain student media at California State University, Long Beach providing valuable experience and tools for aspiring student journalists
Beach Media oversees the business operations for the student-run publications at California State University, Long Beach, including the Daily Forty-Niner, DIG MAG and DÍG en Español Beach Media is student run and advised by a faculty member of the Department of Journalism & Public Relations, providing college students the opportunity to gain real-life experience in a laboratory environment Beach Media reserves the right to revise or reject any advertisement at its sole discretion at any time prior to publication
PAYMENTS
All advertisements must be paid for in advance, unless credit has been established with Beach Media prior to the order being placed Credit terms are NET-30, unless otherwise specified Payment forms accepted include credit card, CashNET online payment system, check or cash Checks should be made out to California State University, Long Beach with the publication name and insertion order number noted on the check A fee will be charged for any returned checks A monthly late fee will be applied to any delinquent accounts exceeding the payment terms Past due accounts will be turned over to the university collections office and subject to interest and penalties
BEACH MEDIA CONTENT
Beach Media will not knowingly publish advertisements that discriminate on the basis of race, sex, sexual orientation, religion, national origin, ancestry or physical/mental disability Advertisements having the appearance of editorial material will be clearly identified as "Paid Advertisement" or "Sponsored Content " Beach Media reserves the right to insert the name of an advertisement's sponsor into the advertisement
