ABOUT US Following a summer of celebration commemorating the 250th anniversary of our nation and the opening of the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library, we are reminded that the foundation of our country has always been local—built by individuals who choose to be involved, serve others, and invest in their communities. That same spirit is alive and well here in Dickinson. Every day, we see it through the volunteers, coaches, participants, and families who give their time and energy to make our community stronger. Parks and recreation play an essential role in that effort—bringing people together, fostering connections, and creating spaces where everyone belongs. This Fall/Winter Activity Guide reflects that shared commitment. Each program and event, represents an opportunity not only to stay active, but to contribute to the quality of life that makes Dickinson a special place to live. As we head into the colder months, I encourage you to remain engaged, support one another, put away the screens, and continue giving back in ways both big and small. Together, we shape the strength and character of our community. Thank you for your continued support of Dickinson Parks & Recreation.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for the community and its visitors by providing leisure opportunities. OUR VISION

If your organization is looking for a way to get involved in the community, the Dickinson Parks & Recreation Adopt-A-park program would be a great fit. In this partnership, with the help of volunteers from your organization, we can provide general maintenance and upkeep of parks and facilities within Dickinson. The idea is for residents to take ownership of their local park and improve the overall quality of the area. Participating groups help DPR keep an eye out for potential hazards, vandalism, cleanliness, and general park mistreatment. If your organization would like to get invloved with our Adopt-A-Park program please visit dickinsonparks.org/adoptapark.
