The COVID-19 pandemic has taken an toll during 2021. People were stuck at homes, bored out of their minds. But game developers always came in to save us. There are multiple platforms in being able play games and connect with friends online. We have PC, mobile, and console. I know we all have our favorite platforms to play on. But today we will gather all these extravagant games that were released in 2021 and rank them based on what players think. With that being said, an event named "The Game Awards" held annually to recognize top played, designed, and developed games each year. This includes multiple categories such as Best Indie, Best Performance, Best Action, Best Mobile, and of course, Game of the Year. There are more than 30 categories, each covering every rating, and even content creation and E-sports teams. This event bring together casual and professional gamers together, reminisce the fun time that a game has brought us.

"It Takes Two" won the Game of the Year Award, nominated along with Deathloop, Metroid Dread, Psychonauts 2, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, and Resident Evil Village. It Takes Two is a Co-Op platform adventure game. In this game, the two playable clashing couple, Cody and May, were turned into dolls because of a magic spell. Only way to return back to normal is by working together against multiple pair challenges.
For the Content Creator of the Year, the YouTuber and Twitch Streamer "Dream" won this award. He was nominated along with Fuslie, Gaules, Ibai, and TheGrefg. Dream is popular for his Minecraft content, mostly on YouTube for his infamous "Minecraft Manhunts" . As for Twitch, his all so popular role-playing server "Dream SMP" , which includes biggest streamers of the platform like Tommyinnit, Tubbo _, Georgenotfound, and many more, is what made his content the most influential to many streamers, making Minecraft the most streamed game and SMP content becoming more popular in the community.
