This presentation has been prepared for the BIG 5 show. It has been put together from a research paper which I am currently finalising which studies Public Spaces and their vitality in our communities.
Public Spaces are often under-valued and neglected when it comes to urban planning & design. Moreover, many scholars, researchers, planners and designers are always at each other's throats when it comes to defining Public Spaces.
Therefore, in this presentation, I have stressed on the significance of public spaces, what makes them successful and what challenges are often faced and how these obstacles can be solved to achieve a higher rank of livability and enhanced quality of life of users & stakeholders. I have also extended the definition of a Public Spaces and quite added a pinch of exaggeration to what can be regarded as a public space to allow the engagement of several often neglected spaces into the main Umbrella of "Public Spaces".
The presentation was quite interactive with many graphics.
