Why DIAGA is

Why DIAGA is the RIGHT CHOICE for you…

1. Our reputation for TOP NOTCH DESIGN. As a design agency there are many choices of business models, some agencies choose the “stack it high, sell it cheap” model, while others choose a niche and speciality and concentrate on that. There is space and benefits for all different models. Ever since we began we chose to focus on delivering only high-quality design in whatever project we take on. This has lead us to gain experience in a wide area of visual design and with clients impressed with the results learned if we’re really good at what we do, you’re not afraid of your competitors. We have reached a point where we are happy to only take on a certain number of clients per year and be able to focus exclusively on those projects, giving them the time to produce exactly what the client needs.

2. Our ATTENTION TO DETAIL and to the PROCESS. This is core to our philosophy and it’s the difference between good and really good design. But this is not just confined to our design work, it is the model we learned to employ over the years in this business. Talented and disorganised is useless, you need clear methodologies and procedures. Attention to detail in project management is vital, this as important as the design work because ultimately prototyping, front end, back end design are all standardised processes and must be followed to achieve any success

3. OPEN Communication. We always listen to the needs of our clients, try to understand their business and goals, and be mindful of their structures, nonetheless, we are not afraid to disagree either if we feel we’re protecting our clients from making bad decisions. We have learned that the optimal result is never achieved by being hostage to merely tick the box exercises or blindly agreeing, we try to ask why. Good communication is a necessity too to manage expectations, deal with unexpected situations that occur in every project, explaining processes that what sometimes on the surface to people unaware of the technology, should be completed in a matter of hours when in fact it could take several days. Most importantly though, it’s honest and open communication between the agency and the client that’s imperative to get the job done on time, within budget and with mutual satisfaction. Bad communication is the most common reason for failure. If we make a mistake we fix them, not argue with the client.

4. We LOVE What we do. We wouldn’t still be doing this job and spent so much time up skilling, gaining experience unless we really loved what we do. Usually, you can tell by the results of our work.

MOO.IE McConnell’s based in Ballybofey is a generations old butchers, DIAGA was hired to transform the business identity and to develop a new business model and revenue streams. Working with Shane we created a new modern fresh identity and applied it to every aspect of the business from shop interior, packaging, displays, posters and booklets. This had a revitalising effect on perceptions and along with their commitment to providing locally sourced quality meat transformed the business. Alongside this we developed moo.ie an innovative website, aimed at targeting a nationwide market, that allows consumers from all over the country to choose specially selected boxes, from the fit conscious to providing for special occasions, delivered fresh direct to their door. In November 2018 McConnell’s took two big titles at the prestigious Butchery Excellence International Awards. Butcher Shop of the Year and also the Best Online Butchery Business of the Year. DONEGAL BAY Albatross Seafoods was established over 30 years ago in 1988 by John Boyle after he spent a number of years buying fresh fish from the boats in Killybegs and selling to consumers around Donegal. He saw the demand for quality fish increase, and with the knowledge and experience he had gained working in the seafood industry in Killybegs. He set up Albatross Seafoods working from a small unit on the pier in Killybegs buying fresh fish from the boats, hand filleting and packing it in ice and delivering to hotels, restaurants and fish shops in the northwest and west of Ireland.

So let’s discuss our METHODOLOGY…

(i) Research. The key to successful project management is to gather as much information as you can at the early stages and gain a solid understanding of the project. Including the goals and objectives. This is where we will try to get to know your Team, your processes. We will then perform comparative research and finally understanding the target audience. Using this and with our own expertise, this will help determine the best design style for the project.

(ii) Planning. Next is the planning stage which involves developing a Sitemap, wireframe prototype showing navigation, page structures and the copy content of your future updates. Prototyping helps to reach an understanding between ourselves and yourself and make sure we’re both on the right page and ensuring the site is relevant to users needs in terms of finding content and information. And to make sure that the aim to communicate the key messages from you the client about the scope of the project.

(iii) Design & Development. Drawing from the information gathered up to this point, and using the sitemap, we determine the look and feel of your site. The key factors are taken into consideration such as target audience, the aims, user-friendliness and conscious of the brand guidelines, incorporate elements such as the company logo and colours to help strengthen the identity of the project on the web site. And ensuring that the site will be very much ontrend and stylish, with a modern interface that’s easy to use. Mobile design will run in tandem and the site will also be optimised for all and every single mobile platform known to man.

(iv) Testing and Delivery. After the design is completed we adjust the fine details and test your web site updates. We test things such as the complete functionality of forms or other scripts, as well testing for compatibility issues viewing differences between different web browsers, ensuring that your web site is optimised to be viewed properly in the most recent browser versions.

(v) Maintenance. With our choice of platform we make sure the time needed and the cost of maintenance is reduced. However, we maintain periodical checks to make sure everything is functioning properly. We offer ‘after-sales care’ at our normal rates to fix bugs and address any issues that may arise. In a case of the client needing immediate help, we charge “do it right now” fee at double our usual hourly fee.

(vi) Keeping costs to a minimum. One rigid process can’t be applied to every project and ultimately it’s through good management, planning and hitting deadlines that is the real secret in keeping costs to a minimum.
