DHE G80 is the new generation of 80G FMCW radar level meter. Combined with DHE’s unique “ELL signal analysis technology” and “small blind zone” technology, it adopts FWCW technology to effectively eliminate or reduce the impact of multiple echoes, false echoes and other interfering signals, significantly improve the stability of the product, so that it always remains in the optimal state of use. With a beam angle of 3° and a very small antenna design, the best measurement results can be obtained in complex conditions with internal components, stirring devices and compact vessels. Measurement Principle

DHE G80 FMCW Radar Level Meter is a “top view” measurement system based on the principle of frequency modulation continuous wave (FMCW). The antenna emits the electromagnetic wave with continuously changing frequency to the medium, and then the electromagnetic waves are reflected after reaching the surface of the medium. Finally, the reflected echo is received by the antenna again.

∆ f = k * ∆ T, in which ∆ t is the running time of electromagnetic wave and K is the slope of frequency modulation. ∆ t is related to distance D: D = ∆ t * C / 2, and C is the speed of light. So D can be calculated based on the measured frequency difference ∆ F. And then determine the actual level height in the tank based on D.

The working condition of this customer's paraffin hydrogenation reactor is complex, with stirring, high process temperature and easy crystallization of the medium. The radar used by the customer before was not good, and the crystal often covered the radar antenna, resulting in the loss of signal of the instrument; And when the stirring was operating, the radar often received interference signals. A chemical plant in Shanxi – acetylene gasometer
The accurate measurement of gas gasometer level is one of the important means to ensure the stability of acetylene flow, but level measurement of it has always been a difficult problem. The customer has used steel band liquid level meter and single flange differential pressure transmitter. The steel band liquid level gauge had complex structure, high installation cost, many links that cause measurement errors, and the actual measurement effect was not very good; The measurement method of the single flange liquid level gauge was simple, but the maintenance was too complex and the maintenance cost was very high. The main reason was that the connection of the impulse pipe was prone to oil leakage. The maintenance personnel needed to inject oil frequently. The operator needed to add oil to the water seal platform and the top of the bell jar. The working conditions were difficult and dangerous. When filling oil, they should be very careful not to bring in air or bubbles in the impulse pipe, otherwise measurement error will also be caused.
Lifting radar is a reliable means to stably measure the gasometer level. The DHE G80 FMCW radar level meter installed by the CUSTOMER can avoid interference such as baffle bracket because the beam angle is only 3 °, which ensures that only the meter can measure accurately when the gasometer is in the low position.
