TRADEMARK CAUTIONARY NOTICE IN THE REPUBLIC OF MALDIVES
Notice is hereby given that our client, MANIFATTURA MARIO COLOMBO & C. S.P.A., (An Italian Company) at Via Olimpia 3, Monza (MB), 20900, Italy is the owner and sole proprietor of the following Trademark:
to be used under the international Classes in respect of the following goods and services:
Class 18: Luggage; trunks, travelling bags with or without wheels; suitcases with or without wheels; garment bags for travel; overnight bags; briefcases; attaché cases; handbags; shoulder bags; clutch bags; tote bags; shopping bags; duffel bags; backpacks; waist bags; billfolds; wallets; key cases; coin purses, purses; men’s shaving kits sold empty; cosmetic bags sold empty; toiletry cases sold empty; beauty cases sold empty; umbrellas, parasols.
Class 25: Clothing for men, women and children namely jackers, sports-type jackets, trousers, jeans, coats, overcoats, cloaks, raincoats, waist coasts, duffel coats, anoraks, shirts, blouses, skirts, shorts, Bermuda shorts, dresses, suits, T-shirts, overalls, sweatshirts, knit shirts, polo shirts, sports shirts, sport pants, sport shorts, sweaters, pullovers, cardigans, jumpers; socks, sport socks; neckties, bow-ties; belts, sashes; hats, caps, hoods, berets, bonnets, head bands; gloves, shawls, scarves, headscarves; pyjamas, night dresses, night shirts, nightgowns; bathrobes; lingerie, briefs, underpants and undershirts, boxer shorts, corsets, singlets, brassiere, culottes, bustiers, camisoles, petticoats, bathing suits, bathing costumes; pareos, cover-ups, sundresses; shoes, sandals, boots, slippers and sports footwear.

The public and the trade are hereby warned not to indulge in any activity that would infringe our rights as the proprietors of the above mark which would be in violation of the Intellectual Property rights of the proprietor.
The public and the trade are also hereby warned that any person who infringes or forges any mark or falsely applies to goods or services any mark or marks so nearly resembling a trademark as to be likely mislead or who makes any dye, block machine or other instrument for the purpose of forging or being used for forging a mark; or applies any false description to goods; or disposes of, or has in his possession, any dye, block, machine, or other instrument for the purpose of forging a mark; or caused to be done any of the things referred to above shall, inter alia be in violation of the IP rights of the proprietor.
Further any person who sells or exposes for sale or has in his possession for sale for any purpose of trade or manufactures any goods or things to which any forged mark or false trade description is applied or to which any mark so nearly resembling a trademark as to be likely to mislead or falsely applies shall inter alia, be in violation of the IP rights of the proprietor.
The public and the trade are therefore, warned that if any person does any of the above acts which are illegal and unlawful, MANIFATTURA MARIO COLOMBO & C. S.P.A. , will not hesitate to exercise their legal remedies, both in a civil court and in the criminal court to prosecute the persons who indulge in the aforesaid illegal and unlawful activities and they would also claim damages for the infringement and the dilution of their trademark.
