Welcome!

Thank you for your interest in The Summer Experience at Traders Point Christian Schools. Our mission as a school is to challenge and educate students within a framework of biblical worldview while leading them to a personal faith and transformed life in Jesus Christ. Our summer programming will promote this mission through activities that encourage fun, movement, mental stimulation, spiritual growth, relaxation, creativity and exciting new experiences. We look forward to having you as part of our Traders Point Christian Schools family for the summer of 2022.

CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE! We believe that God has designed each child to be unique, therefore having different areas of interest.

The Summer Experiences at Traders Point allows our campers the opportunity to choose the activities that they participate in each week. Options include categories such as STEM, Fine Arts, Outdoor Adventures, Summer Fun, Culinary and Athletics. All camps are led from a biblical worldview with an emphasis on God’s design, creation and love for us.

Each day of camp begins with a morning devotion designed to build Godly character in our campers and strengthen their relationship with Christ.

CAMP FEES AND REGISTRATION

CAMP COORDINATORS AND STAFF

Camp fees may vary week to week based on your selections. Fees are listed next to each camp description as well as on the registration page. The registration fee for each child will be charged at checkout in order to secure your child’s place in each camp. You may then choose to pay for your camps in full or select our 3 month installment plan.

All of our camp coordinators have a passion for educating children in a Biblical worldview while creating opportunities for them to have fun and use their creativity. Many of our coordinators are on staff as licensed teachers at Traders Point Christian Schools. Camp Counselors are also onsite to assist the coordinators on a day to day basis to maintain lower ratios and to ensure personalized attention is given to the camper. Our hiring process includes extensive background checks, training in CPR/First Aid and a signed statement of faith.

Online registration opens December 18t at 12:00 am at tpcs.org/summer There is a one-time registration fee of $55 per child.

Camp t-shirts are included.

A 10% multi child discount will be applied when more than one child is registered in the same week.

CANCELLATIONS, REFUNDS AND CHANGES In the event you would like to cancel a camp registration, the amount of that camp will be credited to your account and can be used for another camp registration this season pending availability. You may also choose to have the amount held on your account for future seasons.

Please be advised that TPCS reserves the right to cancel a camp due to low enrollment. Camps are typically canceled two weeks prior to the specific camp start date. You may then choose to transfer the amount paid to another camp or you may request a full refund.

MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT To participate in The Summer Experience at Traders Point Christian Schools, campers must be three years old by May 31, 2022 and FULLY POTTY TRAINED. SACK LUNCH Full day campers attending both morning and afternoon camps will need to bring a sack lunch each day. Coordinators will sign campers out of their am sessions, escort them to lunch and sign them into their afternoon sessions.

TPCS is a nut free campus. Please help us keep our campers safe by sending lunches that do not contain nuts or peanut butter.

FOOD ALLERGIES/SNACKS

FIELD TRIPS Each camper must have a signed permission slip from their parent/guardian in order to participate in any camp-sponsored field trip or travel. Permission slips and associated waivers are included in the online registration process.

A light snack will be provided to all campers during AM and PM camps. No snacks will contain peanuts or tree nuts. If your child has a food allergy, you may be more comfortable sending a separate snack which is acceptable. If your child has a severe allergy, please speak with a camp director to instruct them of epi pen use etc.

DROP OFF AND PICK-UP PROCEDURES

HEALTH AND SAFETY

For the safety of our campers, drop off and pick up are done curbside in the front horseshoe at TPCS.

If your child is feeling sick or experiencing symptoms of an illness, please do not send them to camp. Symptoms include but are not limited to a fever of 100.4 or higher, a cough, body aches, shortness of breath, or loss of taste or smell. Prior to entering the building, all campers and staff will have their temperatures checked. Anyone with a temperature reading of 100.4 or higher will not be allowed to attend camp that day. Guidelines on returning to camp following an illness can be found on our website at tpcs.org under the COVID19 tab.

Drop Off - Once entering campus, follow the signs to enter the front drive at our Lower School.

Camp staff will be available and prepared to greet your campers with excitement for the day ahead.

Parents may drop off 15 minutes before the start of camp unless their camper is enrolled in before care.

Please remain in your vehicles during drop off and move through the line as quickly as possible.

Pick Up - Camp dismissal will also take place curbside for your convenience. Prior to the start camp, your family will receive an email with more details about our dismissal process. Each family will receive a QR code that will be scanned upon arrival. This allows us to expedite our car line, providing you with a minimal wait time. Camp staff will then walk each camper to their car to say goodbye for the day.

Secured EntranceDoors will remain locked during camp hours with the exception of drop off and pick-up times. If visiting outside of these hours, you must check in with the front receptionist.

PHOTOGRAPHS Unless written notice is provided, TPCS assumes the right to use camp photographs in school and camp promotional materials including print, social media and website. If you wish for your child to not be included in these photographs, you must provide this in writing to summer@tpcs.org.

MEDICATION Any and all medication that needs to be taken during camp hours must be given directly to a camp director. The medication must be in a zip lock bag, labeled with the first and last name of the camper and their date of birth. Medication must be in the original container with the prescription label attached detailing specific dosage. No child is allowed to keep their medication with their belongings or administer it on their own. TPCS reserves the right to cancel a portion of camp without issuing a refund due to extreme weather conditions, power outages or unforeseen situations that compromise the safety of your camper and our staff. These decisions will be made with careful consideration and in consultation with our administration. Camp directors will do their best to provide alternative activities in such occurrences

Games, crafts, and activities will be themed around community helpers such as police officers, firemen, EMTs, etc. The week will also include special visits from these various departments where campers can explore the cars, engines, and more.

This camp will break down each essential skill such as serving, passing, setting, attacking, defensive positioning, and rotations. Camp is taught by Coach Busick, the Head Varsity Boys’ Basketball Coach at Traders Point Christian Schools. With over 25 years of experience, Coach Busick enjoys the opportunity to impact lives through the game of basketball. PLEASE REMEMBER TO….

Choose camps for your child(ren) based on their age and personal interest.

REGISTER AS SOON AS POSSIBLE Space in each camp is limited and is filled on a first come, first served basis.

DAILY CHECKLIST ONCE CAMP BEGINS…. ● Pack lunch (for campers staying all day.) ● Please no peanut butter or nut products. ● Apply sunscreen and insect repellent if desired. All campers will have a chance to be outside at some point during the day and some campers will spend the majority of their day outside. It is also a good idea to send both with your camper so they can reapply as needed. ● Pack spare clothes if you have a 3-5 year old camper or if your camper will be somewhere muddy or wet. ● Check our social media pages and the camp app for updates and photos throughout the week.
