SRR Buyer’s Choice Female Sale
November 5-8, 2012 U-pick em bred heifers, U-pick-em heifer calves, select group of commercial bred heifers and commercial heifer calves.
Sale will be on Cattle in Motion, catalog by request only or downloaded from web site Welcome to Strawberry Ridges 3rd annual “Buyers Choice” Female Sale. I am sure that most can attest to how dry the summer and fall of 2012 has been. Due to dry pasture and fire close to home we weaned all calves 3 weeks early. But the dry grass did however carry a punch and the weaning weights were very respectable. All the bred females have been ultra-sounded and results are in footnotes. We use a MGA sync program, breed on heat and time breed at 72 hours. A multiple sire group is then ran with the herd until June 24th. We will offer several U-Pick-Em lots of both breds and calves. Buyer gets their choice, other one remains in herd. We will follow with some single lots of bred heifers, 2 groups of commercial heifers. All lots will be started with a base bid. Although this is an on-line sale arrangements can be made for absent buyers or someone without high speed internet. To keep expenses down the catalog will be pedigree and footnotes only, pictures and video may be seen on-line. And we do welcome any pre-sale viewing. This is a e-net sale that runs for 5 days and closes at the end of November 8 starting with Lot #1and moves to the next lot. As long as there is active bidding the lots stay open.
